when doing this remember to try and keep each individual saddle as flat/horizantal to the bridge as possible. This will keep an equal distance between each string and avoid too much ware on the saddle as the string will move more comfortably when bending and stay better in tune. ;)

It doesn't make scene to me that the strings should be bowed across the pickups, Wouldn't that sharpen notes and throw off the tones? Would it be wrong to think the strings should be flat and close to the pickups without getting fret buzz?

i have the same tremolo in my HSS and i changed the strings it came with for gauge 11's and now my tremolo is a little higher cause of the tension (thats fine cause that way i can use a little bit more bend when using the tremolo bar) but the problem is that the action around the 12th fret raised and feels weird to play what should i do change back to a lower guitar string gauge or lower the action? by the way the intonation is still fine around the 12 fret is just the action

You could take the saddles off, and use some really really thin washers or some sheet metal with holes drilled to raise the individual saddles.

Get an ibanez, cheap and fucking awesome, no feedback at all.... but feedback is good.... but only when it gives an awesome high pitched note XD I don't like strats... So get an ibanez, pretty much awesome for any type of rock, alot of metal bands have them, but they're pretty good for punk rock too cause of the sound, just go to a shop and try them out ;)

problem is ive lowered saddles to the plate and its still not quite low enough.

what else can i do to lower it more at the bottom end of the neck, because the top part near the guitar nut is fine

try changing the tilt of ur guitar neck, doing that would tilt the neck of the guitar so that the strings are closer, i'm not sure if the combination of the gibson sg neck and a strat can do that but i know strats with their standard necks can

there are many tricks for keeping non locking /floating tremolos in tune none of wich are 100%

I put graphite in the nut slot's to start with and I do that even on my acoustics you can use a number 2 pencil just rotate the the point of it in each slot with the string out graphite is a dry lubricant and helps the string move freelly in the nut slot .if you hear a tinking sound when tuning tha'ts where its coming from .the strings also move back and forth whenever you use the trem dont use oil.
