• he sounds drunk.

  • whats the difference between Attributes and Properties? Is it correct if i say Attributes ar used within Tags in Html and Properties are used in Css?

  • you sound like you're falling asleep

    but anyway good tutorial,

    is this information out dated considering it was made in 2008?

  • Did you use a adobe dreamweaver in this editor?

  • @CustomDataSolution No, he used Notepad++

  • this guy is extremely boring!!! are you sleepy or sick?

  • @izzaonline Nope, Nope and Nope

  • Hey, can u make a video explaining CSS Reset please.

  • No professional website bothers with the whole "style input", CSS is all done on a separate file entirely.

  • @Oezilla Depends on the situation. I work with a website development company and it's true that we do most of our stuff inside seperate .css files.. still, we also use the style tag a lot when for example, a certain PHP module on a website needs different styling than the normal stuff. We than use the style tag normally..

  • Hi, what html editor are you using in this video? Thanks.

  • @epale2000 Notepad++

  • I'm currently drowning in an angry sea of web design homework. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS.

  • K guys im useing notepad ++...what language should i chose form the menu? i guess boston is useing html,isn't he?

  • @mihai4music If you save the file with the appropriate file extension (so in this case either .html or .css) it will automatically choose the right syntax for you. ;)

  • very nice tutorial , this worked in Chrome but did not work with explorer 7

    where is problem ?

  • Interesting.-

  • He is using notepad++

  • what editor are you using there sparky?

  • what is the doctype thing at the top for ???

    cause when im copying it to my code, it changes every object on my page

  • You didnt mention stylesheet's, i like using a stylesheet because it makes my html file neater and its not so crowded with css either.

  • @TheScriptingChannel also if you want to change a lot of things rather than going through each and every one of those things you can just change it quickly up on the top.

  • which programme do you use?

  • buck teached me python and adobe after effect.now time to learn some css :P. next is javascript.. love this guy so much thank u bucky ...

  • Thumbs up if you we're looking for counterstrike source stuff :P

  • @snitchables CS:S :P

  • wait so the background color and the txt stuff can go in between the head tags? wat is the head tags rlly for?

  • counter strike source

  • @lojken6 thats a good game wat does it have to do with coding css? i see counter=c strike=s and source= s which = css but coding isnt a game lol

  • @diego14brproduction hahaa i know :) i was just joking ;P cus i was searching on css (counter strike source) and this was at the top of the list lol

  • @lojken6 lol

  • ur the best!!!

    thank you

    it's easy to learn Css with u <3

  • Okay no one laugh lol I know I am a noob but what programme are you using here ....? I looked up CSS Download but it just leaded me to templates!

  • @xXChuckles using any text program like notepad and just change the format to .html ,and it's much easier to download a well-advanced notepad like Notepad++ or any other text program u prefer

  • @xXChuckles i use notepad++ so that would b a rlly good program for this or adobe dreamweaver but u have to pay

  • Um you know you don't have to put another body rule if you want more then one you just use a semi-colon (;) to separate them

  • Bucky,

    I know this is more then 2 years old, and I'm sure you know this.

    But you can just create a new "page" and name it "home_page.css" or what ever you want. Just name it as a .css. Then in the header you add: <link href="home_page.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">. Then you just do all that css in the page you created.

  • I know how to do all of this from other html tutorials but you explain it so well and clearly. That I now know why I have to do the things you say in the video, its great to have background information .

  • Thank you. Thanks -behindvfx

  • Very good =) thanks a lot!

  • umm it isn't working....help???

  • Good tutorial! Although, first you shouldn't have the HTML code around it when showing basic CSS(presumably something completly new), its confusing. Second you should teach them to use an external stylesheet and how to link it in from the beginning. That way you only have to change ONE row of code in one CSS-file to change the look of ALL your webpages!

  • this is very good

  • Best Tutorial online!!

  • Nice tutorials, however the format you present your code in isn't very good.

  • Hey! I love your tutorials so far, VERY HELPFUL! Thanks so much for putting them up. I was just wondering what program you're using to code your CSS?

  • Notepad++

  • Notepad++

  • notepad is extremely good since it doesn't do stupid autofixes that other programs do, but it's very hardcore. If you want a bit of help, I'd suggest expression web, it's free too. As for the tutorial, I think it's also important to give a bit of intro to objects since CSS is all about objects or elements like block or inline. Also, you don't need any html elements if you name the file a css file, and have your html page call it externally.

  • It looks like Notepad++ its what i use

  • This tutorial really helped! thank you!

  • when will your site be back up?

  • never. lol

  • lol @ curly brace

  • Cascade Style Sheets

  • hii

  • you dont have to seperate tags like:

    body{blah:blah}

    body{blah:blah}

    just do this

    body

    {blah:blah;

     blah:blah;}

  • Did you pay attention? The tutorial is for basic syntax. He even states that he has a tutorial to show people how to group declarations.

  • For some people it's easer to read.

  • what is your webhost service and is it free

  • what are you using to edit the source code?

  • notepad++

  • I was going to subscribe but all the almost naked women turned me off! Sad!

  • get a life..those stupid copy and paste stuff is completely retarded

  • what heppend to your site ?

  • Great tut! but 1 question...which is best? external, inline, or internal stylesheet? thanx!

  • counts on the situation, you should almost aways use external for sure though. That way when you are making pages for your website, you won't have to worry about having to do the same thing over. Internal is great for when you want a page to be unique, you should try to stay away from inline as much as possible though, it would defeat the purpose of even having css in the first place. Although it can still be used for when you want a element to be unique for only one time. I hope this helps.

  • External is the best and what I also prefer...cuz its clearly arranged and u can work easier. but there r no dis-advantages to internal...everyone has his own taste...

    u didnt ask me...but i just tried to help ya.

    cya ;)

  • External is a better practice. It would be alot better to use inline css just for that certain text to override the external. The way he is doing it here is just to show you the tags and definitions. It's alot easier to use one page to explain this rather than 2.

  • rate u 5 stars..thx! Got a question..when should I create a website with css? I just want to create a website for my portfolio...just dreamweaver is good enough right?

  • LOL.  its called "basic..."

    ;)

  • your a little to late. I already found it, thanks anyway

  • what if, i have a background image then i dont want it to repeat on the background, what should i type?, hope u know what i mean

  • background-repeat: no-repeat

    I think :D!

  • but what if i want to repeat the background but only on the top side?

  • Comment removed

  • it tells the browser what language the website is using.

  • Notepad++

  • What program did you use?

  • He was using notepad ++ just google "notepad ++"

  • thanks so much, gonna watch all your vids and have subscribed to your channel x

  • I am watching THE CSS TUTORIAL 2ND TIME AND IM GONNA FINISH WATCHING ALL!

  • great thanks man !

  • You forgot to end your lines with semicolons... Also something worth mentioning you can group multiple instructions like so:
body

    {

    color: blue;

    background-color: red;

    }

    This is particularly useful when you are using classes and Ids...

  • Don't teach people bad syntax like that.
body

    {

    color: blue;

    }
• Don't teach people semantics, especially when it makes you look retarded.

  • Well you don't have to end the css attribute when there is only one it is good to learn by ending them all but you don't have to.

  • 2:29 , you've been posesed for a second;))

  • no me sale

  • Greg! man, you are the best! hope ull help me to become as u are, darling, cause i love games, creat them and website! but actually im a noob.. any way thx for the tutorial!
