I've never heard of a 50 inch vertical before (not saying you are wrong), the record at the NFL combine since 1999 via nfldraftscout is 46 inches by safety Gerald Sensabough. Dustin Fox former white CB of Ohio State jumped 43.5 inches and that was third place since 1999.

Alexander would have been much better than Rudy. Joe is 1 of 5 players since 2000 when draftexpress started listing Orlando Combine results to run a sub 3 sec. 3/4 court sprint, he also has an insane 39 inch vertical at 6'8. Still not as good as Chase Budinger's 41 inch vertical though. Nate Robinson has a 42.5 inch vertical, but is 5'8. If whites can't jump then why have they won 5 out of the last 6 Olympic medals in the high jump? If you're being racist why don't u say they can't run 100 mtrs?

At 6'8" Joe would need a 40" vert to get the top of his head at the rim, and figure another 3" or so to get his nose up there. So, while his standing vert may be 39", his max vert is higher, and since most white guys (like me) are one foot jumpers, Joe's max vert may be around 45", but I don't know how he jumps best.

yea.. theres pictures of him with his head clearly over the rim. they have his pre-draft measurements on draftexpress.. and they were 32" no step vert.. 38" max vert. vertical tests are touchy. they had recorded gerald green having 31.5" & 39".. and a guy while he was with minnesota said he tested a 50" vertical. so u never know.. pre-draft workouts are always legitimate tho.

He can definitely get up more than 38" for his max vert, this video proves that. Plus, I think he said in this video he has to see how he's jumping for the day. Some days you just jump higher. One summer when I was 15 I dunked 4 times (all on the same day) on a 10 foot rim, nothing spectacular, but still they were dunks. I've never done it again and that was 4 years ago, I've come close, but never an actual dunk again. I'm 5'10" now so I was just having a good day, not bad for a short white kid

I'm just saying his max vert is definitely more than 38' given that 6'8" is likely his height when wearing shoes. I just figured he'd be a better jumper off one leg, like most white guys, so if he's getting about 42" off 2 feet. But, I don't know how he jumps best. Take me for example the highest I've gotten off of 2 feet is around 25" but I was able to get a couple dunks one day. I can't jump quite like I used to because of a bad bout of ankle sprains, but I still get up better off 1 foot.

Yeah Nate was clearly the best dunker, but how does a windmill power jam and a grab a bounce off the back of the backboard dunk get the same score as the Golden State guy's 2 handed power dunk from about 8 feet away. Rudy should have finished 3rd not last. He didn't RUIN the contest, Nate Robinson made it. NR may be the best dunker ever!
