  • Again great pictures. The one from 0:20 - 0:25 is reversed though. Just a note.

  • you seem to have a penchant for the traditional chinese music and they superbly match the clips.

  • Thanks. Sometimes I spend more time on finding the right music and effects than editing the images!

  • In fact the music in all your clips were Cantonese music from 30's to 50's.( which fit the old Hong Kong images background perfectly ) Every time when I watched your clips with the music, it really brought back a lot of sweet memories from the old days. Thanks for the good work.

  • Great color old pictures, great Chinese old music. Thanks Mr,MichealRogge.!!!

  • When out of stock I took some other makes, like Agfachrome. They are all effected. My last movies in the Far East were on Ektachrome Commercial, which also withstood time very well.

  • another good example of analogue stroage media beats digital

  • The color photos, were they shot on print film or on slide film?

  • On Kodachrome slide film

  • I kind of thought so. Just the fadeless nature of kodachrome really stands out. I'll never have any photos that live so long. I don't think any E-6 or C-41 film will last 50 years without fade.

  • I think Kodachrome going to discontinued soon, now only

one lab in the World process Kodachrome

  • it just looks like photos today! thanks!

  • Thanks you very much. I really extremely love to see all those old HK photos. Let me know the place where I born. THANK YOU.

  • wow "high definition" pics from the past

  • I would dearly love to know the location of the photo at 0:21 (BTW, that particular print is reversed horizontally).

    Thank you, again!

  • So would I ! Thanks for letting me know of the reversal, but alas, it would take me too much time to correct,

  • Thanks for sharing your history photos of Hong Kong. It is absolutely amazing! Great memories!

  • you are so rich at the moment, even 50yrs later i still can't afford a leica camera.

  • Thanks!

  • thanks a lot!

  • First class photography.
