i've had people close to me suffer from hating their bodies, anorexia, and feeling like they can never be too thin. i hate it when the media and the fans praise a gorgeous woman like yuri for her 'diet.' i get so sad when yuri, who had a literally IDEAL physique could possibly think she wasn't good enough. it sends a bad message to SNSD's young female fans who want to copy their idols and be like them. it's damn irresponsible.

A friend and I watched a schoolmate for weeks once because we thought she was bulimic. She went to the bathroom very often, she lost weight, she looked pale, she complained about feeling dizzy half the time. We didn't think accused her of being bulimic just because she lost weight.
All SNSD members are skinny. I wonder why no one's complaining about Yoona. I understand Yuri did lose a lot of weight. But hey, they're popstars and image is everything to them.

But for Yuri you can clearly see that her body shape is the result of too much weight loss rather than being her natural weight, especially because we know that she wasn't always that thin.

I know anorexic when I see it --those arms give it away (and dont try to argue it's muscle. there's just no padding left). Yuri looks awful.
Everyone's body is a little bit different. YoonA is super thin even compared to the rest of SNSD, but she's got bird-bones, and you can tell it's just the way she was made. Yuri clearly got this way by starving herself.

My arms are that skinny and I eat well and barely do any excercise besides running on weekends. I'm pretty sure she's on a diet, she dances and does exercise... How could you know just by watching 3 minutes of a video?

i've had people close to me suffer from hating their bodies, anorexia, and feeling like they can never be too thin. i hate it when the media and the fans praise a gorgeous woman like yuri for her 'diet.' i get so sad when yuri, who had a literally IDEAL physique could possibly think she wasn't good enough. it sends a bad message to SNSD's young female fans who want to copy their idols and be like them. it's damn irresponsible.

It's obvious that she is skinnier than before, but I don't think it's right to go out on a video on youtube and say that she "clearly got this way by starving herself". I've been accused of being anorexic and bulimic because my ribs and hipbones are clearly visible, but I just don't get "fat", only my legs do. I live in Argentina, so I know damn well about media praising these "ideal" bodies.

I also get what you say about tis being irresponsible, if she really has an eating disorder. But the "arms" are not the only thing that makes you think someone is habing these problems. A friend and I watched a schoolmate for weeks once because we thought she was bulimic. She went to the bathroom very often, she lost weight, she looked pale, she complained about feeling dizzy half the time. We didn't think accused her of being bulimic just because she lost weight.

@tedious Well Yoona has always been that thin, and it looks more like her natural weight. It's thin, but you can see that the muscle proportions look normal, just scaled down. But for Yuri you can clearly see that her body shape is the result of too much weight loss rather than being her natural weight, especially because we know that she wasn't always that thin.
Just on a sidenote I think it's good that nowadays people want celebrities to look healthy rather than too skinny.
