@jci10 I recorded this using a SID player which is just the audio and so I simply added a screenshot to it. If I'd used a C64 emulator the animated background would be there but the music would be a lot slower than the original, because that's what the cracked emulator version is like. The only other alternative would be to somehow record it from a genuine C64, but mine's long gone unfortunately. :(
This is from an age where EA was filled with a handful of talented individuals who cared about gaming as opposed to today's sweatshop who's only concern is massive profits.
I was never all that good at this game, but like the last commenter, I would load this game up primarily to listen to the excellent music. I'm lucky that when I purchased my secondhand C128, this is one of the games that came along with it.
@Cinj216 Yeah your right but EA is still good aside from locking up the NFL licence which has ruined Madden. I used to love playing This on my Cousins NES and Sword of Sodan on my Genesis when i was little.
Aah...the heady days of sitting watching a datasette load just to hear the title music. Man...this was ONE OF THE BEST sid tracks ever. Rob Hubbard was and still is a living legend just for this alone.
I've seen some comments on the NES version with people saying that that is the best version over the C64. That version is missing so many notes (because of the capabilities of the NES) that it is like a billionth as good as this one.
I love this game and this song, the C64 version is by far the best. If I had a working C64 I'd still be playing this game. I have a cassette tape around here somewhere that I recorded a bunch of commodore stuff on and it started with this song for more than half of the first side because I love it and it just keeps going =)

Back when I had my SX-64( badass C64 portable system, google it), I'd use this title as a demo of what the C64 could do.

This is one of the few EA games I cracked! I'm sure I still have it somewhere on 5.25" 4everC64!

I would play this game for hours and hours on C64. That music takes me back to when I was 15 years old!
