  • Yh but i saw a lions mane in greece and i think i got stung by it and it flt like stinging nettles and never put vinegar on it as it makes it worse put hot water on it. i have also seen a box jellyfish in new zealand and i was put in hosp. for that. OUCH!

  • ummmm..........i think the jellyfish is dead.

  • @vanillastar011 Definitely not. Do you not see it moving? The water was fairly still, with the exception of a little bit of wind.

  • holy crap i live near there!!

  • I use to love to look at Jellyfish but i got stung by a manawore (i think thats what its called) and now i wont even go in the water if i see one.

  • Man O' War...

  • Oh, lol.

  • @xxEDWARDxxFANPIRExx Manawhore

  • @xxEDWARDxxFANPIRExx wow really i heard those stings are really painful

  • @darkandugly Yes very, it left a scar for a while.

  • it tends to go the smaller something is the more venom and more fatal the sting or bite will be

  • That isn't the case with Lion's Mane jellies. The larger they are, the more dangerous their stings are.

  • aw, its looking about ready to beach. Id collect it with a large pale and move it to deeper in a high flow area.

    But thats just me.

  • lol I wouldnt even touch it since its sting can kill you lol.

  • Not really, Cyanea Stings can Hurt and leave marks, But Generally these animals Can`t kill, especially at this size. On the other hand if it were a giant size, the amount of venom it could inoculate could change things. cyanea "lions manes" are considered Moderate to severe stingers. Small Individuals though they may cause pain won`t kill you unless your allergic to the venom. as a general Rule of thumb most if not all scyphozoans seem to share this quality.

  • its fun watching it...

  • ahhhh i hate the jellyfish there everywhere now it ruins the beach but in pensacola the salt water is usually always clear

  • I don't usually have a problem with the jellies unless it's windy or we just had a storm.

  • very good video!!

  • wow thats the clearest salt water ive ever seen

  • they are the reason i didnt go swimming at the beach yesterday, there were a ton

  • dude i live in pcola too

    its a lions mane jellyfish

i surf and skim there too

  • dude its a lions mane jellyfish

  • what are the holes in the sand from??

  • Usually from crabs or other sea animals.

  • ther from crabs

  • i live in england and im moving to fort myers florida soon i was wondering if you see them there aswell cos i whant to have a look at them closer

  • Fort Myers is still on the Gulf side, so you might see them. However it's a lot further south than Pensacola Beach, so I couldn't tell you honestly. Just be careful and don't get too close! They do sting.

  • thanks for that
