  • if anyone is looking for a good motivating idea for writing, i use 750words.com. it doesnt cost anything and all you have to do is go there and write 750 words a day! theres no penalty for not doing it, but you can sign up for a monthly challenge if you like. it doesnt matter what you write, but the point is to write! you can have them send you daily emails to remind you too! just an idea!

  • i love origami lucky stars! im obsessed with them. ive made a couple thousand of them at least. i make them to keep my add self busy lol and then i make decorations with them, or put them in gifts, or on ribbons etc. love love them!

  • "Whilst sleepy"? .... But Whence do these origami items come? ... and Whither do they go after you've made them ?

Nice lead-in of "Hey strangers, how's it going?" .... a reminder of how unusual/curious this arrangement is of your describing/depicting these personal aspects of your life to 'Lord only knows whom' ... and even potentially to 'generations yet unborn' who might view them in the future.

  • hola Rosianna! no se puedes decir en espanol. Que impresionante! En mi escuela vieja, estudiar espanol pero todavia no conozco mucho de espanol.. haha. My grammar's so bad and i don't even know if that made sense. hahaha. lol. =)) i tried. :P

  • I'm also the youngest of three sisters with a large age gap. I used to feel the same way.

  • I love that you included Metamorphosis. I recently read it for school and absolutely loved it even though a majority of people in my class didn't feel the same way about it. I just thought it was so cool and interesting and... yea

  • @ldn4286 Thanks! Constantly falling into my eyes...

  • On books and languages: I study romance languages with a focus on literature.I speak french, spanish and I have started to learn portuguese.

So, in the winter term I took a class on the spanish contemporary novel and we read 5 books. Some of them were really good and others just not my style.A very moving book about la posguerra is Dulce Chacón - La voz dormida. And the other book I liked was Rosa Montero - Te trataré como a una reina, but my term paper will be about Capitán Alatriste.

  • How much age distance is there between you and your sister, because I have a sister who is 13 1/2 years older than me and it was always cool having her.She was like a mum, just cooler, the best friend I could always call,a role model to look up to.I think that she had a much harder time growing up,because she had to fight for all the rights,I had much earlier, because she was the first + my mother had no experience in education before. But as I am the youngest,my mother has a hard time letting me go

  • @CharlineLikesC just over seven and nine years! It's a big gap.

  • funny how i speak both arabic and french, the two languages you said you want to learn, but have always hoped to learn spanish

  • I took the 11+ and go to an all girls grammar school as well. It's deffinatley high pressure and... well, different. Haha :)

  • "i think theres a difference between persevering and contributing to your own decline in mental health." hahaha that's a great quote! gonna remember that one.

  • your nails are TFiOS blue!

also, i think it's abs ridic that you read borges in the original spanish! that's so wicked cool.

  • I also think Arabic is a beautiful language. It's a dream of my mine to be fluent in it someday. :)

  • I do love the way you name a lot of the books that my IB class have been studying! Metamorphosis is horrible and I am currently writing an essay on it and failing... miserably

  • @swinnie93 Good luck! I went to see an adaptation of it at the Lyric and it was absolutely stunning -- also helped my appreciation.

  • @missxrojas Thank you! Ah right ok, I think we all just find the book quite difficult to understand because there is so many hidden meanings and ideas behind it. And then as soon as Marxism, existentialism, absurdism are mentioned it just completely flies over my head. Plus, talking about the absurd is a little depressing too

  • On almost every NYR video there have been comments from people saying how much they want to read something you've written! It's cool. I would, like many other commenters, like to get a chance to see some of your writing. Your NYR videos are brilliant!

  • @HannahCruickshank Thank you, but it still needs a lot of work! Hopefully one day ;)

  • I'm going to miss your daily videos, they really treat to the day. It may be asking for much, but can you extend it please; like this video it would be tiering but totally awesome! Pretty please

  • @Tempusaeternumest Unfortunately I have a dissertation to write!

  • Another lovely and charming video in a long series. This has been a good month on YouTube because of these videos.

  • My oldest sister is 12 years older than me. I don't remember being envious of her because by the time she finished her tertiary education she moved out and we only saw each other on family occasions.

  • Your voice is quite relaxing to listen to.

  • I think... I think I had a dream about you last night, we were just hanging out or something. That's odd.

On a less creepy note, has the dye gone from your hair? Can't quite tell, but it's a shame if it has - it looked great!

  • Finally got my copy of TFiOS, read it, and your name was in it!

    THAT'S SO AWESOME

As if you're not just telling everyone you know, about having your name in one of the best books ever.

  • Are you coming to EXIT festival in Serbia this summer? :)

  • Tired but fabulous.

  • I very much look forward to the day I see your name on a book.

  • Have you ever done any translation work?

  • I love it when you talk about books and literature in general, we have similar tastes in books and I always find something new, new books, new ideas... etc. in your videos. :)

When you get published... you'll have at least one reader, no matter if you write in English or in Spanish... or even in French... in a few years :S

  • I hope you get published one day. You would make a lovely author! x

  • my mental health can't get any worse atm!

    brind on the oragami Woo

  • We like so many of the same books :) And I totally feel the same about Harry Potter being "my" series too.

  • I'd love to read something of yours one day!

  • I hate origami.

  • mum came in midway and said, "ah are you chatting to someone on skype", and for some reason I said yes. So now I've been having to reply to what ever you've been saying with "mmhm" and "oh yeah cool" etc whenever she's in ear shot.

Having a conversation with a YouTube video. Forever alone.

  • @itsbenji01 Hahahahaha oh man.
