You don't have to like any certain bands to be goth, the whole point of being goth is being true to yourself, so if you're a goth and hate the cure that's fine, or if your goth and like some pop music, that's fine, it doesn't make you any less goth. What does make you less goth, however, is hating bands you like and liking bands you hate or never heard of to fit in, since being goth isn't about fitting in, it's about being how you are.

She always wanted the music she made to be essentially pop, and so although yes, they had a majot label behind them, they didn't give her the image. Well, by a matter of interest, a friend of mine was saying about this Betty Curse character, and I checked it out. Then you replied, so I replied back. How I came to be here. Honestly, Avril Lavigne and Betty Curse are very similar - you'd be a fool not to see it. They wear clothes to project a message. I highly doubt there's any depth behind it. Goth isn't just about image. It's about literature, music choice and aesthetics. So...that's about 1/3 we could say she really project.
