Hmmm. This game, I thought, had both a major flaw and a blessing, especially in cases of battles like this. Lemon Gels and Melange Gels make you freaking invincible. No matter what Kratos does, you just use Guardian and it does zip.

I just wish he'd been harder . . . :(

and yet, hands down, one of my favorite RPG battles of all time, short of Emerald Weapon or Seymour from the Final Fantasies.

Hey don't you think that Kratos held back again when he fought Lloyd, actually it makes sence why they did.if they made Kratos go all out, it would make Neblim look like a calipiter and you have to face Kratos with just Lloyd!? Nobody would be able to beat the game and see the ending unless they cheated :) but it is still a shame they didn't make him as strong as mithos or even stronger in the game.

Yeah true but even in the manga, the only way Lloyd won was when Kratos had been injured by Yuan and it hadn't healed and that Lloyd got him by surprise at the end of the battle when he broke one of the two swords.
