  • im going on that in august

  • @TheDanstarh What position did you get? I'm trying to get a job as well but i dont think i have the experience i need.

  • Crew cabin?.... no no.. Staff cabin... crew cabins are a bit smaller with shared bathroom between two cabins on ships like Victory...

  • Muy mala experiencia trabajando en cruceros. Trabaje dos años en Hawaii. No se la recomiendo a nadie. No lo hagan si pueden evitarlo.

  • great vid

  • Hey GianMarco i remember you...i´m the latin band drummer from Peru..lol lol

  • @fer140581 Hola Fernando!!! Como estas? Estoy aquí en Peru con mi esposa. Are you still working on ships? Where are you?

  • theory of a dead man at 0:47 :P

  • looks like a college students accomadation! how can you stick that? Im Cabin Crew for an airline we get 5* Hotels!

  • @Aviationnation10 Yes, for sure, but you can't have a shower on the plane itself! That is a big advantage for us. ;) We do live our lives on the ship, while you guys do it somewhere else. This is a big difference.

  • @krisztiansere There actually is a shower in first class! and were never on it more than 17 hours and we get to sleep in that time

  • @krisztiansere wait, what? Plane? Airline? This is a cruiseship!!!

  • nope it looks like a crew member room yep crew member im surprised he didnt have 2 roomate

A szobában nincs széf?

  • @TamasGrin Szia! Most mar szerintem minden hajon kartyara jon a fizu, amit a fedelzeten levo automatakbol ingyen felvehetsz. Ezen kivul "szef" szolgaltatas is van a hajokon, amit valami jelkepes osszegert lehet igenybe venni, es az osszeget a szerzodesed vegen vissza is kapod.

  • @chanman332 no u have to pay for it by the minute or buy packages. but I think the workers get free wifi

  • @mmhh14 Actually we have to pay for it as well. Definitely less than the guests, but still very expensive.

  • is there free wifi on the cruise or do you have to pay for it?

  • Wow...that is a bit smaller than I though for a crew cabin on a ship. It's only slightly bigger than the pilot crew rest cabin on a 747.

  • It's an officer cabin?

  • Starting my job as casino dealer with carnival in Aug, can't wait...

  • Thank you for posting this. I will be beginning my training for Carnival in 2 weeks. What position were you and is it safe to assume that the Entertainment Staff cabins are about the same?

  • @dgr231 No, you are lucky. The Entertainment Stuff cabins are bigger. I've been living in that kind of cabin for a while and I really enjoyed it. :) I was a photographer.

    Good luck!!!

  • @krisztiansere Thank you for the quick response and well wishes. I'm looking very forward to starting.

  • @krisztiansere Would the 'Imagination' also have just as small of a crew cabin for a photographer, I start this Wendsday : O : )

  • @TheEmoRage I have been on Imagination just for 3 weeks during the so called "College". At that time we had huuuuuuuuge cabins there. :)

  • @krisztiansere Dude awesome, ya my "college" is also there, not sure where they will send me after...Hopefully I will meet you :) ...Oh two more questions, does the crew (us) get nice food? And should I bring an adapter to charge my laptop on board, or do they have an international adapter? (I'm from South Africa) Thanks!

  • @TheEmoRage I've never had problems with the food, but some of us had. You will eat more or less the same as the "crew", but in a nicer environment since you will belong to the "staff". I don't exactly know what kind of plugs you use in SA, but I had colleges from your country and they never complained about it. Most (or all) of the ships has "European" & "North American" socket,s as well, and if you will have any difficulties, you can buy plug adapters anywhere in the ports for 1 or 2 dollars.

  • @TheEmoRage One more advice: don't get frightened because of the amount of the working hours in the college. They will try to push you to your limits, but there is almost no chance to work on a ship where you have to work that much. At least this was the case when I was in the college. Good luck!!!!! :)

  • Very hard way to live but I understand that the income is worth it to most of them.

    Ana Mancini

  • Thanks for sharing this. Well explained. My son is planning on auditioning for a dance job on a cruise ship. Any suggestions on the best?

  • @greenkeenreviews Nothing really. Dancers have good life on ships as far as I can decide. Once they learn the choreography they just have to enjoy the shows and the ports. :) Good luck to him!

  • @krisztiansere hej i applied to work on ship-carnival- and next week i am goig on interveiw, i will be bar server, what are you think about that ship and job?

  • @natalija31 At the bar you can expect good tips if you are smiley and friendly. :)

  • @krisztiansere thank you, i have always smile on face :D :)

  • angol referenciáim természetesen vannak ezekről a helyekről, köszi a választ. egyébként még hajózol?olvastam fotós vagy, de bármi amit tudsz mondani a shopos részről, fizu(500+jutalék=1200 -t hallottam) megköszönöm. szia :)

  • @HunArtur Szia!

:) Sere Krisztian neven vagyok a FB-on.

Most rohanok! Csa!

:) a választ köszönöm. megnéztem a párodat, szépek vagytok együtt, legyetek boldogok sokáig :) szia

  • Look up one of the You Tube videos on life on a US nuclear sub. A room this size would house 6. They use hot racking... meaning at least one other person shares your bunk during your duty shift. SSBNs don't stop in ports. They submerge and stay that way for the duration. Cruise ship crew probably gets higher pay. Those who get tips certainly do.

  • @goodtimebob As a matter of fact I have no idea about the salary on a US nuclear sub, but I definitely know that I don't want to work on those subs.

  • Omg! u have a carpet :D u must be a staff member :DD

  • @petar139 Yes, but actually I just inherited the cabin from one of my college who were able to arrange virtually everything. :) So the cabin was equipped with this extra just because of her. :)

But you made me laugh with this comment. Thanks! :)

  • I hate this size of cabin deck 9 foto and spa cabins

on deck one cabins are good

  • @rasosteva For about 2 months I was lucky to live on deck one. Those cabins belong to another category...

  • I have been on a couple cruises. I have no doubts. They treat you like slaves! It's a shame.

  • @dopamine83 Yes, you're right. But once again: no one forces us to work there.

    Thanks for your comment!

  • ship life not so easy ,i worked on this ship ,m in carnival cruise for five yrs ,its like a prison ,but its something different exp in life ,thanks for uploading this clip cheers

see u in crew bar hahahahaaa ..............!

  • Still comfier than the berthing on a US Navy vessel.

You non-military people don't know how good you have it out at sea.

  • are you speaking magyarul??? Cool :)

  • @ana8lu uhum :)

  • If you want to work on ships and get a larger cabin then you need to work as a shoppie on Carnival Victory. I had hell of a large cabin. Even the officers were jealous of us :) Deck 1, forward. Next to housekeeping officers...

  • i'm wondering the same thing as black6chinese, did you work on board as a photographer since your using a d90? if so, what do you do to get that job because i'm interestedin working on carnival too! :)

  • @wolterpynaffit Yes, I was a photographer on the ship. We used D300 instead of D90. I just had the D90 with me for a while. For being a photographer on the ships you have to look for an agency which can help you to get in an interview. Just google it! Good luck! :)

  • @krisztiansere

    Y U NO WHITE BALANCE

  • @TimeLapseSteve Didn't care.

  • hi! I'm not scared by the small cabin, if everything goes well I'll be living in one by the end of this year :) I'm curious since you have a d90, did you work there as a photographer?

  • @black6chinese Actually this was not my camera. But, yes, I was a photographer there. We had been working with D300. Are you gonna be a photographer, too?

  • @krisztiansere well I was goint to go to an interview with Image, but I had to postpone it for next spring...:( how was this experience for you?

  • omg! no wonder whenever i'd request for room service, the attendants usually would stand in amazement of my spa balcony cabin; this room is extremely small.

  • @gotoatbawang Now you know why they were amazed. :)

  • lol at the theory of a deadman in the background

  • when will crew cabins get bigger? im not workin on a ship till they get bigger..can americans work on ships like this one? i want to work on one just to try it...

  • @MegCruiselover5 Actually, this is the smallest cabin on ships. Yes, Americans can work there, too. I had very good friends from the US. And since you are american, definitely you'll get bigger cabin. :) Try it. It's fun...for a while. :)

  • @krisztiansere Omg, Really? Im going to work on one when I graduate..How old do you have to be to work on one? If your a waitor do you have to go thru training or someone that works at a coffee shop? Omg thats awesome Americans get bigger cabins? Ok im gonna work on one..Ive made up my mind..Does Carnival or Royal Caribbean give you the bigger rooms? Sorry for all these questions..Your very helpful

  • @krisztiansere a while means how many contratcs? hehe i wanna do it but seems like a prison!!! what are the advantages u got from working there?? u think they hava favouritism upon nationalitys?? im latina..what u think? ill aprecciate the help :D

  • @latinamega17 I had 2 contracts, which is approximately 2 times 6-9 months. It seems like a prison, but you will be in your cabin just if you are sleeping, so it doesn't really matter. :) The benefits? Money, beautiful scenery, friends from all over the world, experience. Mucho strange experience. :) And for example me, I got to know my love on the ship and that is why I live with her in Peru. :) This is a great benefit!!!

  • @krisztiansere haha, thnks for the help kristian!! thats awesome since im from peru too , living in lima! hehe, how cool, well i might do the cruise next year :D! thnks for the help :) for u it seems that it worked.

  • @krisztiansere

Man what you, are talking about. Money for the job in cruise line is rubbish.maybe good for the hungarians. If anyone gonna be a waiter(as I was) or steward they are abused for nothing. I could stay there only 1 and half month and it was more then enough.Even i did not go there because of money but I could not get out from this fucking ship as a waiter just serving food in the dirty crew mess to the most of the mean people(especially from India). Never again!!!!

  • @mikey6683 ship life is one big prison.if you are skilled and not dull you can earn this money during one week in country as a Germany or Netherland etc.

  • @mikey6683 This is not a job for anyone. It is a prison, it is a slave ship, no doubt. But it can be a really amazing experience in your life if you are the kind who can use the opportunities. You can say that CarnEvil sucks your blood, but if you are smart enough you can suck the blood of the company, too. You just have to know how to do it. :)

As I said: I love that I took my chance to be a part of this kind of life for 1.5 years. I'd do the same. But it was enough.

  • @krisztiansere how many trips are meant to be fun for a while

    ¿Xd?

  • Way too cool man XD got ancestors in Hungary too...

THings are lookin up now XD

  • @deejayuhs Szia! Mit csinalsz te ott? :) How did you get to those beautiful islands, man? Really? Tell me! Nagyon kivancsi vagyok!!!

What cruise ship company are you gonna work for? What are you gonna do there?

  • @krisztiansere Szia! Carneval Cruise Lines yeah, hopefully I'll be doing that just as soon as i finished with the interviews like a waiter. Marshall Islands...XD like...actually i haven't been but looking to be there once. Lehet egy hejen leszunk.XD CIAO

  • everyone complains about the crew space on cruise ships....should try working/living on a submarine!

  • @dukyluky No, thanks. I don't wanna try that! :)

  • Nice clip, man !! You're a pool boy? I used to be few years ago, Princess Cruises. The cabins were as small as this one, I remember the first time they showed me the place where I'll be living for the next 8 months, I thought it's too small to be a single :) But I guess you can get used to anything.. Keep it safe and dry ! ;)

  • @8stewiegriffin Thanks! No, I was there as a photographer. But not anymore. :) I was shocked also at the first time when I saw it, but actually I was in the cabin only when I wanted to sleep. So it was quite OK. :)

    Cheers!

  • @8stewiegriffin Yes, you can get used to almost anything. :-/

  • Man, you gotta give the crew props for living in these small quarters for months at a time... I mean did you see how small their shower was?!?!

  • Don't tell me! :)

  • nem,bar server leszek

Rem a cabin nem lesz kisebb

    ennel:)

  • Kosz a videot legalabb tudom mire szamitsak.

    en a celebrity eclipse-n leszek

  • Nincs mit! :) Mint micsoda? Fotos?

  • We're thinking of going on this cruise (Carnival Victory - eastern Caribbean) in October. Every cruise we take we video and offer suggestions to others. Do you have any suggestions? Excursions? Shows? Etc?

We dive so 2 of our stops will be dives but we havent decided on which stops yet. That depends on the "cant miss" excursions on the other stops :-)

Thanx for any help you can offer

  • Actually I like if the camera measures the light continuously.

  • Next time you shoot video with the D90 make sure you press the AE lock button aka exposure lock button, that way you won't have any light flickering.
