  • I am sure there is an mma fighter who could be a boxing champ if they did move over, If alistair Overeem didnt win the k1 GP everyone would have said k1 fighters are far superior to mma and no mma fighter can touch them

  • Whatever floats youre boat, ha ha

  • this MMA vs Boxing is getting mad old..lets talk abiut something new...like...rugby vs american football...or tennis vs ping pong...lol

  • THE JEWISH BOMBER!!!!!!!!

  • Who is this uneducated fool with the bald head and dumb earrings? I'd love to see him do some grappling since it's something that a girl could easily do in a fight, as he puts it. He'd change his tune really fast. Guy just opens his mouth and out comes the nonsense.

  • in a street fight one on one. MMA takes it easy.

  • @dennisrayso crazy, in a street fight the black guy wins

  • @WeAreAll0ne1 lol street fighters are the worst fighters with haymakers

  • Boxing is checkers. MMA is chess. Both look similar to the untrained eye but they are very different. Come on, educate yourself a bit, it's a shame to see these ignorant views still around.

  • @i8u2day how old are you 6

  • @i8u2day boxing is checkers? fuck you. Dont you try and put your sport above boxing. When someone has mastered boxing like Ali, Mayweather, Robinson, Hearns, Leonard, Hagler, Duran, et FUCKING cetera you wanna really compare them with checker players? Doesnt take that much intellect, while chess is vastly superior. Done MMA, Muay Thai&Boxing. And I found Boxing to be the hardest so far, even though I came from 7 years of MT. Guess what? I spent the first 2 months with a rope round my ankles.

  • @k4n31985 and before you open your rambling cockholster again: I like both sports. they are different sports. both are great and none is above the other. so dont fucking compare boxing and mma with checkers and chess. checkers every dumbass can play it, chess not so much (im talking proficiently)

  • girls get nose piercing

  • two different sports. Retards. These idiots dont know anything about combat sports, outside of boxing. To say anyone can apply a choke is like saying anyone can apply a punch.

  • man i want to knock all that stupid shit out his face grow up ol' man.

  • In fear of sounding like a internet hardman I fight at middleweight at a very amateur level but i reckon i could out box Jabba the hut leaning on the ropes here, in fact i think i could take his shots and lay him on his back. I agree boxing is more refined but UFC aint for girls.Stupid fat dumb fuck. On the other hand im sure he is a good trainer....dont get me wrong.

  • THIS GUY DOES NOT REPRESENT THE BOXING COMMUNITY! LOL DUMB CUNT

  • @pkbosslac Shogun Machida Diaz Aldo etc are good at boxing as it applies to MMA what is so hard to understand?

Oh and why do you keep bringing up his fight with Dan Henderson? I said Shogun in his prime was good not Shogun in 2011.

  • A bit racist wasn't it? "What's more popular in the hood?" To a black lad.

  • @pkbosslac Never said they were boxers and don't know why you assumed I did. All I said is while most are terrible with the hands Machida, Shogun, Diaz etc are actually good.

Also if you know Shogun isn't in his prime right now then why are you bringing up his fight Henderson?

  • MMA gyms are expensive AF!! But they are fun n i like em alot..boxing gyms are reachable in price

  • @pkbosslac

    1. Shogun is past his prime now

    2. No one can be a true boxer because its not boxing its MMA.

  • @pkbosslac "Throwing punches like boxers" What the heck does that even mean?

VItali Klitschko doesn't throw punches like Floyd Mayweather and Floyd Mayweather doesn't throw punches like Yuriorkis Gamboa????? Everybody throws punches differently and everybody defends punches differently

Also you have only watched recent Shogun fights. His prime was in Pride and he threw very precise punches

  • This guy is funny, more videos on him....

  • @pkbosslac Ok so why can't you understand that Machida, Shogun, Diaz etc are all very good with boxing as it applies to MMA.

  • Thats true as fuck. Anybody can do MMA. I dont see no kind of martial arts being applied when i watch MMA. You should just call it "do whatever you can to win fighting" except for guys like silva and jones. There bad ass

  • @pkbosslac karate and Muay Thai have boxing elements and Machida and Shogun are really good at those elements what part of that don't you understand?

Of course they can't defend and move like exactly like a technical boxer its a different sport. Their are so many other things you have to defend when in an MMA fight.

  • To be honest, Jerry's view on mma is completely uneducated. Boxing is by far my favorite out of the two, but it is obvious that mma takes a very high skill set in a myriad of sports.

  • anyone can do what they do? sure didnt look like that when james toney got taken down at will and choked out lmao maybe this bald fuck needs to go to a bjj class

  • No one in the hood does mma

  • MMA is so hard that a WWE star was the biggest draw .... Hahahaha

  • And I'd never spout the imbecilic cowshit Elie does, sorry, my intellect is quite bueno until further notice. If I say something, I know why I'm saying it, and I formed the opinion with the aspects in mind. I UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS GUY IN THE VIDEO MEANS, and I STILL haven't seen anyone address what he's actually saying. lol

  • I don't care how long it takes, it's something so different than what it takes in boxing.... heck and in many single goal specialty sports... position will only get you so far in boxing, it's SO SO SO MUCH MORE, and it doesn't matter how long you train. That's the thing about boxing... it's much more... but yeah... anybody can train to be elite in positional sports. But in boxing you'll have your guys that learn the craft but can't beat this certain person because VARIOUS intangibles

  • A Good Boxer will knock u out with one punch before u can grab or kick him. I like this Guy.

  • @TheAAP2011 But boxers grab each other. So how does that play out against grapplers.

  • @pkbosslac I am convinced you have never watched Machida or Shogun fight before, Machida has amazing footwork + amazing hand speed and Shogun throws super accurate and short punches.

If youo can't see these things then you simply don't know shyt about either sport

  • Mma is terrible

  • headlocks lol

  • MMA is faggoted - end of

  • Boxers handwork is superior to MMA thats for sure but to say that MMA is girl moves with no skill hahahahahahahahha sure????

  • Ha ha, you gotta love this old school guys..

  • alright, i'm tired of this faggot and the ignorant videos he's been posting recently, time to unsubscribe. please join me.

  • @evuhL I'm leaning that way. Very lack luster efforts. Maybe we need to major promotions to get his game up.

  • Fuck MMA! MMA is just strategised street fighting

  • this vid hurts your credibility, and people won't forget. Why are you joining the uninformed argument of boxing v mma, because it's popular? Boxing is one part of fighting. Period! Please get informed. MMA is an opportunity to see who would prevail in a platform that allows a mix of styles. Maybe you are trying to generate hits via controversy.

  • @teachm3539 No MMA gave that up when they started to change rule around to make it more clean. Mix should be anything goes as it 1st was. Once it lost that it started trying to be like boxing. It will never be a better sport because you can do many things but it all comes with rules.Boxing is just a science that many cant seem to understand. You only get 4 punches to hurt the other person with.

  • 6-7 punches both straits both hooks an uppercuts overhand

  • @TheTrojanabuser That many can't seem to understand- I agree. So how much more don't people recognize the evolution of and refinement of MMA. Randy Couture dogged James Toney and he went undefeated for 10 years in boxing. That doesn't mean that Randy couture is a better boxer. It does mean that boxing is a sport and some elements of it are practical and much of it is not practical. Boxing is exciting I love and enjoy it. It does not mean that we have to compare them or wrestling

  • @TheTrojanabuser Those that have moved away from boxing and point karate. Have moved away for the lack of shows and poor promotions. Not because one per se is better than the other. I defy anyone that enjoys combat sports to not watch a top fight when it airs. Only ignorance prevents one from being scientific about his own science, if we can agree to call boxing a science. Then we should welcome experimentation.

  • yea anyone can throw muay thai kicks to the head and apply high level bjj chokes to a resisting opponent, its easy . get in the cage and find out before opening your dirty mouth...my grandmas opinion is worth more than this..just look at the head on this guy, shot out

  • @nonphixional1 You can teach little kids to Box, or do MMA man. Little kids can do padwork like pro's. On the other hand, you could teach them how to pull off complicated martial arts moves like axe kicks or tornado kicks in a few months. It's the level of training and competition that makes boxing stand above MMA. The fact is people like Brock Lesnar would never make it in boxing the way he did in MMA. In MMA, your fighting fucking 3-5 rounds man. WTF is that man, it's a street fight.

  • @checklefthook you sound fucking stupid. stop messaging me .

  • @nonphixional1 Whatever you say MMA ninjer.

  • @nonphixional1 The reason he's saying "anybody can do that" is because compared to the training a boxer must go through to fight that long and stay alert, MMA is a cake walk. MMA is a great sport man, I try to keep up with it. Still, the "skills" you have to learn in MMA are quite learnable. A kid could learn them, just like they could learn boxing. That aspect of things does not make MMA any more special than learning Japanese Jiujitsu, which also uses, kicks, punches, grappling ect

  • fuck mma......boxing you bitch elie!.....stop trying to go mma fucker.....stay true to boxing!

  • these guys seem to know a lot about MMA , even though theyv never even been involved in it ! HA wat a stupid upload !

  • @darksaw5 and your response is retarded.. boxing is a defined as a combat sport that is mainly based on "punching" duhh... but MMA is supposed to be defined as "mixed" martial arts.. which is bullshit cause like i said on my previous comment, they all do the same shit! Boxing does take more skill cause you have to rely on punching and ducking! Your options are LIMITED unlike MMA where if you can't punch the guy from arm length, just kick him/take him down. In other words, shortcuts! FACT!

  • @mackinass916 okay you bring up what is needed for boxing but you don't state what's necessary in mma. not only do you have to have good standup, you need to learn the clinch game, different hooks, how to defend all types of submissions, reversals, how to submit someone at any moment. You are a typical "fights should only be fought with hands" retard

  • @pkbosslac exactly, a jack of all trades is a master of nothing

  • @pkbosslac Nick Diaz is one of the better boxers in mma. There is footage of him sparring with a pro boxer (name escapes me), and yes... Diaz pretty much looked like a noob.

  • @aattitude yea i saw that vid of him sparring that prospect Omar Henry (10-0 i think) and omar was teaching that boy a lesson

  • Comment removed

  • Here's how it goes. A boxer doesn't have to worry about defending takedowns so their fighting stance can protect their face more. They also train specifically on hands and body movement so they're better punchers of course. MMA fighters have to be prepared for everything, those who excel at only 1 aspect of fighting usually get beaten in the long run. If a mma fighter goes against a boxer in a boxing match then the boxer wins. Now let the fighters do w/e they want besides cheap shit and mma wins

  • Lol, what a fucking redneck,

  • @pkbosslac also sergio martinez played football for meny years comes into boxing beats everyone up

so you sound stupid u moron mma is the future stop crying

  • @FIGHTFANNERD3 Great athletes can do any sport. Matt Mitrione(sp) came off the football(American) field and only has I think 1 loss to his record.

  • in a street fight boxer vs mma guy, the mma guy would submit the boxer in less than a minute. It would look just like couture vs toney. An mma guy just has way too many tools to beat a boxer. Sure a boxer might be better at striking, but thats all he knows, can he defend a takedown? can he defend submission? nope. Attack those weakness and its a done deal.

  • @pkbosslac i beat all the boxers at my gym and im also an mma fighter so your wrong

  • Boxing is fantastic. A lot of skill. But this coach/trainer has obiviously taken a few too many shots to the head.

  • @pkbosslac No shit Sherlock. If you put any MMA fighter in a boxing ring with a legit pro boxer he would get destroyed.

  • @tatertots00 now if you take off the gloves and basically say do what teh fuck you want then the mma fighter will win :)

  • @pkbosslac Karate and Muay Thai both have boxing elements and Machida and Shogun are very good at those boxing element. Oh and Fedor has very good boxing technique go watch his fights he has great timing.

You can't box the way guys like Andre Ward do in MMA it just doesn't work when you have to also worry about defending takedowns

Its funny that you mention GSP, his boxing sucks. Your credibility when it comes to comparing MMA and boxing is seriously in question

  • james toney would disagree

  • @jimbanzo indeed

  • i love boxing but mma cool to

  • Mma lacks an amateur bracket I would rather watch jiujitsu matches on ppv over ufc

  • Boxing is my first love and I love mma too, but I can't stand ignorant people.

  • u put that old man in a kimura his ass his crying and young bruh u look like u cant take a kick even to the gut ppl forget bruce lee (greatest mixed martial artist of all time)

  • @pkbosslac There are only a few guys in MMA who are really well rounded and don't look like total crap when they box.

    1.Nick Diaz

    2.Anderson Silva

    3.Jose Aldo

    4.Lyoto Machida

    5.Shogun in his prime

    6.Fedor in his prime

  • @tatertots00 Nick Diaz boxing is sloppy as fuck. And slow.

  • @cdub153340 Nick Diaz boxing is awkward not sloppy. If you knew boxing you would know that.

  • @tatertots00 Just reading your last comment, you dont know shit about boxing.*in my roger mayweather voice*

  • 6 people love hugging men... MMA is fucking weak! No skills at all.. supposedly it's "mixed" martial arts but they all do the same shit.. kicks, punches, take downs, and hugging.. i didn't know hugging was part of muay thai (sarcasm) lmfao!!!!!!!

  • @mackinass916 O_O boxing is just punches then......so therefore boxing requires less skill then mma! your logic sucks

  • @darksaw5 Actually boxing consist of only 4 punches which limits you.Thats where the name sweet science comes from. You have to figure out a strategy to fool your opponent with simply 4 punches. Pretty hard task when the opponent is expecting only 4 ways of being attacked while you have to figure out how to sneek the 4 punches by their defence. MMA requires less skill because there are more than plenty of ways to get through someones defence in order to hurt them starting from head to toe.

  • Boxing and MMA both have their challenges. Boxing is pure hands so it requires you to reach that new level of skill to even survive in the pros, and MMA means you have to be good at everything and worry about more weapons to defend against. It is pretty rare but their are fighters who are masterful in each discipline (Anderson Silva).

  • Put it this way..toney vs couture wasnt shit. Tony is fat tired and cant wrestle.... silva vs all his mma opponents. He was a boxer who had best boxing in mma. Jds was a pro kickboxer and hes on top of it in mma as well. I train in muay thai and boxing 14yrs and im naturally good with wrestling because ppl in the streets always try to wrestle. Mma fighters who are not familiar with boxing suck.... boxing and k-1 is better

  • Im an mma fan but boxers got more skill. Anybody can wrestle and do submissions. Kickboxing and boxing takes more skill

  • boxing all day!!! more skill and dedication. Although, in a street fight an MMA background has a the upper hand.

  • I'm going to throw a water bottle at Elies face if ever see him in person. LMAO!

  • Elie the hater. Gym rat.

  • mma fighter can beat boxers easy

  • @jayr122001

Boxers can beat MMA fighters easy. 1 punch night night thats a wrap

  • @gibememoni MMa fightere can beat boxers easy. 1 takedown its over. See how terrible my comment was? Yours was just as bad.

  • @gibememoni lol dumb comeback

  • @jayr122001 this is why the most successful MMA fighters are technically sound boxers such as Junior dos Santos, Uriah Faber, Jon Jones, GSP, Iceman etc. ??

  • cracker doesnt know whats hes talking about

  • lol this guy is awesome. I watch MMA sometimes if there is no boxing on, but boxing is #1 for me. In 5 years MMA will be a fad anyways, their PPV's are doing real bad lately.

  • @gibememoni how much you want to bet? willing to bet anything. Each ppv cant be amazing because they do soo many events. And they are willing to give free events so how will it go down. Jan 14- ppv, Jan 20- free, Jan 28-free, Feb 4- PPV. literally one event per week

  • @Demoniiiic

The fad is dying and now that brock quit no UFC PPV will do over 500k buys. Nobody is shelling out $60 to see these white bums lay on each other.

  • @gibememoni I kinda agree because they do 10 times the ammount of ppv's boxing does. UFC has 2 ppv's this month. When is the next ppv for boxing? ill wait for your reply.

  • MMA all the Way

  • With that fight proved to me without a doubt theres no way a boxer could convert to full time MMA, and same goes for a MMA figher. Both worlds are too different and both have to adjust their mind set and training to use to the rules, point system, and such.

  • God I love this MMA bashing. Keep talking shit about those Fags Elie!

  • Like he said he likes any kind of fighting and will watch, but then there comes personal preference and also a one sided point of view, and you gotta be open to all forms of fighting if you want to sound creditable. Ex: with the Randy Couture vs James Tony fight, you had a legedary boxer versus a legedary mixed martial artist bang and the boxer looked like a little school girl that hisses..

  • mma is for fags!

  • I don't know what you people don't seem to be getting. I haven't seen not ONE COMMENT, that accurately addresses what is actually being said. Soooo.... wtf is the point of bitching about something you don't even seem to understand ?

  • @quenquen411 I 100% agree with you.

  • What? MMA Fighters have to learn Wrestling,Boxing,Karate,BJJ, etc they have more skills then any boxers

  • @Mrdeftoness1 NO, they learn more skills, as in a bigger quantity of shit they do, they don't necessarily have to be GREAT at any. That's the difference, what he's saying isn't to be taken so hard, it's simple to understand... but the way... ANYBODY can learn those sports, those are POSITION SPORTS... boxing is so much more... you put everyone in a deathmatch with the SAME WEAPONS, and see who wields it better. Then you have a FMJ, and a Pavlik [low rank.]

  • @Mrdeftoness1 most learn a few moves of each and dont have real skills in one, its just avergage fighters going at it on the floor

  • elie where is the 400 pushups

  • LOL MMA can beat boxing when the boxer through one punch just dodge and grab the punch and boom there's the submission to make you tap. Stupid ignorant boxing people(Not to everyone) I swear anyone can throw multiple punches no disrespect but when you diss MMA you diss me.

  • @Chooify equivocado. Boxing is so much more than that... so much more... MMA is the one where champions are champions for a season.... and uhm... I've seen the difference in many MMA bouts to be the hand skills, pero, boxers can fight in the MMA with top wrestling skills... but what MMAer could compete in boxing ? DoSantos, is a boxer, who can do other shit.... not the other way around, and he beat a wrestler in seconds, with one defense of a takedown and one PUNCH, lol, a boxing match.

  • It's boxing, the most loved and famous specialty combat on the planet.

  • @quenquen411 By who?

  • I can get into the free for all, but I love this specialty sport of boxing. hand to hand combat, it's natural, it's dignified and pure... and it's amazing to see the various variations of the ART AND SPECIALTY of boxing. Whereas you have guess sinking or swimming with just a mild fluency in many aspects... and MAYBE great a one. But many can't compete in any SPECIALTY SPORT as a TOP ELITE.

  • @pkbosslac exacta.

  • Lets see the jewish bomber throw a kick, i bet it would be hilarious. Kicks have techniques to them, chokes require a lot of technique as well, especially if you are trying to do it to someone who knows how to defend against them. And to be honest anyone could say boxing is just throwing punches and everyone can throw punches, girls can punch, babies can punch, as long as you have functional arms you can punch.....both take skill

  • i'm a boxing fan, but come on give mma fighters a fair shake. anyone who put their body on the line and punishment through rigourous training and fights should get respect.

  • I'm sure every1 punch, hug, and run for there life for 12 rounds.. Plz I love boxing , but when u got a sport that has so much ways to finish u . U need way more skills than boxers.... N btw kicks hit harder than punches so if u get a left hook to the body by bute , take a liver kick from anderson silva se how much that hurts.....

  • @beserkerant quality over quantity... quantity over quantity, you remember that. I appreciate that QUALITY of boxing skills, you can't just say, "oh shit my [etc] is a bit weak, let me do this" ..well you can, but... it's just different... weakness in your boxing craft WILL be exploited, BUT it takes a certain level of person... such as you have a shitty guy like Khan who is just gonna be too fast and lanky for many, now in MMA... ANY BODY CAN BE TAUGHT A GOOD CHOKE, takedown defense, etc.

  • @quenquen411 "ANY BODY CAN BE TAUGHT A GOOD CHOKE, takedown defense, etc."

LOL! Quenquen, you're sounding like Elie with that post. Absolutely false. It takes years and tons of hours of sparring to prevent a takedown from a GOOD wrestler or how to apply a choke to a GOOD grappler.

To be an elite amateur wrestler, it takes years of hard work. To be an elite ADCC level grappler... same thing.

You should know better than to post something like that.

  • @aattitude FACT REMAINS, that's not the point. How many elite wrestlers are there in the MMA that can compete at top level in the SPECIALTY of wresting ? the grapplers are good but IT'S COMMON KNOWLEDGE, that the SPECIALIST will have an edge in there SPECIALTY, and yeah it takes years to be an elite in these specialties, but it's still a FACT that many MMAers get by on alot of JUST GOOD ENOUGH, and aren't specialist in much, and yes, ANYBODY can be trained in POSITIONAL TACTICS, fact

  • @quenquen41 most wrestlers who are world class prefer to compete in their sport instead of mma, but a few fighters were world class wrestlers at some point, like cotoure, lindland, Coleman, etc

Mma is complex but you can't be good at it without a moderate level of each discipline.. that said, the foundation of mma is wrestling and bjj

  • @aattitude which is the point. MODERATE LEVELS of a compilation, and a compilation of PURE POSITIONAL TACTICS, often slow paced, time to think... yeah, it's a craft, of course, but boxing is a SPECIALTY... and it's QUALITY, over QUANTITY. Too often we see guys [Cain] just getting punched out in a couple seconds. lol ..it's almost comedic to think about. But listen. just accept what was said, it's really a personal preference, and it's actually valid.

  • @quenquen411 we are at a time when mma fighters are getting better at each discipline. The time when you can be good only at one disciple is becoming the past.

Not really sure what you mean by positional tactics. Ground game is very complex and technical... you can't just go into a 6 week training session and be good at it.

MMA is becoming its own specialty: the goal is integrate each discipline properly to make one efficient all around fighter. I love the concept, you might not.

  • @aattitude sure.

  • @quenquen411 "sure"?! why you talking shit like that for? lol

    j/p

    Whatever then.

  • @aattitude nah, entiendo. en serio.

  • in terms of human ability. anybody can learn to be a great MMAer, that's how I feel, not everybody can be a top notch boxer, it just doesn't work like that. I understand exactly what he means.

  • @quenquen411 , buhahahahahah nigga you crazier than shit, you agree with a skin head? that man will tie you to the back of his truck and drag down the Mississippi river hahaha

  • @MrBoxingchamp101 que ? no entiendo.

  • it takes technique to be good in jiu jitsu just like it takes technique to be good in boxing.

  • @wiley218 yeah, the point is, ANYBODY can put in the work to be great a BJJ or Judo, because it's largely more like learning to place a video game, boxing is just totally different... where the differences are glaring, and many things you just CAN, NOT, TEACH... MMA, you can teach all of it to anybody.. but of course, it's a special person to be a fighter.

  • @quenquen411 thats just like saying anyone can put a basketball in a hoop but you cant teach someone how to throw a football 100 yards.

  • @wiley218 Actually, basketball IS another sport where repetition is key, and an array of different trinkets can make you fit in. Just being a shooter but not being a good ball handler, etc... same with many sports... BOXING, is a specialty, and not everybody can just do it, because EVERYBODY is TRYING to do the same shit, it's so much bigger. But ANYBODY, can learn how to lock in a blood choke etc.

  • @quenquen411 yeah anyone can learn choke or a arm lock but it takes skill and technique to get better at it..just like anyone can learn how to throw a punch but it takes skilll and technique to be better at boxing

  • @wiley218 In boxing to be great you have to start as a kid, while MMA you can start at any age and still make it. That is the difference

  • @MrRedskins0021 what you dont understand is i dont disrespect boxing but you disrepect MMA. sure there are some guys that didnt start as a kid that made it but the same thing happens in boxing not every good boxer in boxing started as a kid, but right now most fighters in mma never started trainnig as kids because mma is very young sport right now just wait till it evolves and real athletes start trainnig everything as a kid.

  • @MrRedskins0021 Sergio Martinez started boxing at 20. The thing is, in both sports, you have to bring something to the table. Boxing is more difficult because it is more concentrated and specific. But that doesn't mean anyone can make it in MMA. You have to bring something to the table in MMA. These guys walking into MMA have years of training behind them as well. A background in something whether it's wrestling or BJJ, etc.

  • @MrRedskins0021 tell that to B-hop, sergio martinez, nate campbell, antonio tarver, ron lyle etc. the list goes on and on!!

  • You just try to get anyone to say want you want, your a jackass, the entire video you just keep asking him the same question until he dirts it.

Just leave it alone, they are both good.

  • I actually think MMA is a more simplistic sport.

  • thats like me saying anyone can punch someone in the face
