It could be anything between 1988 and 1991. The L was discontinued in 1992. Also theres no way to tell the year by looking at the car in this video, and since TM IS the owner of the car, I'm sure he looked on the door tag which said its a 91.

Go to a public auction. They start the bidding off really cheap. I have a St. Vincent de Paul charity here, they start cars off at $100 and it just keep going up depending on how many people want it. However 95% of the cars they get are crap so I refuse to buy from them.
