  • very nice!

  • Do you have to have a special bulb for live plants or is ther some were you dont need good lights

  • gorgeous

  • What's the plant name that is covering the most of the foreground ?

  • I hate when people have such awesome tanks and dont explain their set up in the info box!

  • WICKED TANK MAN! good job!

  • Very good your aquarium :D

  • anyone know what the plant that is covering the whole bottom is? the stuff that looks like moss

  • The problem to the person who asked about the cloudy tank, is if it is a new tank and has gravel then it is the gravel causing the cloudy water. Just leave it it will pass in a week or so it is not harmful to fish.

  • ist teuer so ein gut/viel bepflantztes aquarium :(

  • YOU LATE YOUR CO2 24H non-stop ON???

  • do you reely need substrat for a planted aquerium pleaz wright back

  • pearling pearling :D

  • izzit the co2 is from DIY or buy?

  • very nice tank .but if i had those scraches on the front glass id be pissed

  • beautiful tank! i just started one in a 38 Gal just waiting for it to fill out now! you did a great job!

  • do you have co2 in this aquarium??

  • very nice.

  • Nice scratches XD

  • it's beautiful. your plants are so healthy, and the foreground (a fern?) is nice and lush. good job!

  • What is the name of the little plants in the left corner?

  • Really pretty :)

  • Fajny baniaczek , wpuscilbym tam 5 pirani z pomaranczowymi brzuchami. Efekt murowany

  • wat is the stuff on the bottom

  • looking great!

whats that plant you are using as a carpet?

  • Wowwwwwwwwwwwww!

  • Amazing! What's that carpet plant on the left?

  • @MriBackup riccia

  • @DonnnixD Thanks!

  • hi my 30 galllon tank wont seem to be clear the water is cloudy and my fish arent affected what should i do? please help

  • @fitbikerider459 Please post your question at ukaps.org and i'm sure we can help you

  • @aranawebs sorry didn't mean to vote down -- accidentally clicked on it... need to find how to undo the vote down...

  • @fitbikerider459 Hi dude you know if you go in a specialized aquarium store they can sell you a little bottle containing bacteria that help the water ecosystem,I had the same problem with my first tank used those bacterias and the aquarium is awesome with crystal clear water

  • @fitbikerider459 renew water 1/3 every week, and or buy carbon filter or purigen....

Carbon or purigen will clear your water like tap water in matter of hours....

  • @fitbikerider459 most likely a bacterial or algae bloom. If the fish aren't affected, don't worry about it. Give it a couple of weeks and it will clear up.

  • @fitbikerider459 Get a bigger filter

  • @fitbikerider459 Could be a variety of things, but if your fish aren't affected at least you know it isn't an ammonia problem.

  • nice lookin fish, neon tetras right?

  • @Sasukesorrow yes they are Green Neons, a bit smaller than the normal Neon Tetras

  • @aranawebs This fish is a cardenal tetra!

  • ILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND HAVE ORGY IN YOUR MOTHAFUCKIN FISH TANK

  • 1:36 .. NICE NICE :D

  • truly beautiful aquarium! its so green!

  • what the hell is that noise???

  • Submitted question on UKAPS :)

    Cheers,

  • Cracking looking tank. I`m also on UKAPS :)

Can i ask about your co2 and flow. How did you get your flow so good, are you using spray bars, power heads etc? Can you tell me more about the setup?

    Cheers,

    Ukco2Guy

  • @atarittuser Hi mate, have a look at the journal here... ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1039&hilit=my+120cm

If you don't mind putting your question on there as i don't think that was covered in the journal and other UKAPS members might find it useful, cheers!

  • Yes 15w per Gallon is miles too much, aim for 3 watts as that is still very high light, check out the forum at ukaps.org as i am sure we can help you through your setup.

  • @aranawebs yeah i found out with the 15 watts the plants were making extreme amounts of oxygen and growth was quite amazing but was to hard to keep the water temp down as it was 35 without any heater and also the algae came on too fast and was destroying but thats all changed now. went to 2 watts per gallon. thanks

  • the crypto is so beautiful , niice arrange aquarium thmbs up

  • put a snakehead in there and it would be perfect :D

  • lol our houses dont even look this good

  • What kind of lighting do u use?

I mean at what kelvin?and are u using DIY co2?

By the way...awesome tank! i wish i had a tank like yours!

  • Dude, would you know why I moss wont flourish in my tank? I have success with most plants but moss.

  • Gorgeous tank man! Thats just Java Moss on the bottom, right ? Are you just using straight gravel and anchoring the moss down ? Im looking to do something similar

  • @TikiMoN5Ta

    Looks like Riccia.

  • Let's have an updated video! I'd love to see how the plants have changed. What type of lights are you using? Are you running CO2? I saw the bubbles, but wasn't sure. And are you at 3W per litre or 1W?

  • lot of scrats on it

  • anyone know how many gallon of 40 BDR 36L x 18W x 16H dimension?

  • are you drumming on your camera as your filming?

  • Reupload this with Band of Horses - Infinite arms playing, its a great match!

What is the colossal plant on the front right of your tank, the one zoomed-in @ 0:40? It is amazing!

  • Are those scratches on ur glass ? Looks pretty bad

  • Looks like javafern carpeting the substrate

  • ARANAWEBS: You are using a powerhead + co2 diffusor. I know you probably paid an arm and a leg for your diffusor but not only are they unnecessary with sumberged pumps but the pump can make a FAR more efficient diffusor. Try allowing the bubbles to get sucked into the waterpump's intake. A fast moving propeller will create much smaller bubbles (hardly visible) and you can aim your water pump downward so the bubbles go down 1st then rise up. I got my pump for 15.99 for a 55G

  • hey i just started a planted tank, i dont have a specific light for the tank, im using the light tht the tank came with. i think its a fluorescent light( tube kind) so would this work or do i need to buy a specific light for the tank, plz respond i neeed ur help!

  • @starthi aim for about 2.5 - 3 watts per litre with good quality tubes, check out ukaps.org for all the friendly help you need in the forum. Good Luck

  • @aranawebs i was wondering if 15 watts per gallon is too much? and can it cause any problems? will it speed the growing process? or is it just over kill and useless. im running co2 as well. ive had mixed opinions but shop keepers seem to not give me a proper answer as they prolly want me to kill my plants... help would be great thanks. btw they are HPS light all spectrum

  • lol at your tripod...i used to have the same problem...

  • Great tank, loosen your tripod nobs, hah.

  • beautifull, whats the plant covering the left corner?

  • Whats the name for the green matting plant?

  • and 2:22 those too =)

  • 2:14 what plants are those.....BTW very very nice aquarium ;)

  • how much did u spent on that

  • Thats actually awesome! great quality vid aswell, you should get some dwarf gouramis

  • duh hello? y is ur tank green look so ....uhhhhh

  • its beautiful man! must of cost alot of money! if i had money i would deff. make my tank like this. or better pay u to make my tank.. haha

  • Very nice tank!

  • Need to oil up your tripod mount a bit ;)

Very nice tank though, I never know why but my planting never really looks as good as I plan it in my mind :/

  • splendid

  • i'm dreaming of a tank like this... great job!

  • Tank with the wow effect. Who could resist the great Tetra ?

  • on the background you use some kind of fence??? i looks i saw some square lines to holld the pllants true? great tank

  • Sweet!

  • beautiful tank

  • one realy red plant at the left coverd in green woud be sooo beautifull

  • what are those small in the front bottom plants

    thx 4 ur response

  • very nice work congratulations

  • Do you have any Placo's in this tank? I wonder if you can keep them in a planted tank.

  • None if you want a foreground. But a bushynose pleco will work for almost any planted. The only plants it won't work are with dwarf baby tears, riccia (here), pelia, and glosso.

  • @BigHater007 - sure you can keep pleco if you want long shit strings hanging off all your plants.. some will dig up carpeting/plants, some will feast on them like oprah at a vegas buffet. for the most part any pleco that gets large is a bad idea ( sailfin, adonis). many Hypoptopomatinae species are a better place to look, they stay small, no more than a few inches, are very good for algae and wont bother plants too much for the most part. just research it very well before you buy.

  • @TheFreshPeddler Thanks :) good description. Im beginning to realize any large fish is a bad idea for a planted tank.

  • very nice work bud you must be happy

  • im getting a 40 gallon tank this week and want to make it into a planted tank , how much are plants for tanks and whats needed for lighting? any help

    Thanks

where do you get plants for aquariums?

  • do bottom feeders dislike the planting on the aquriums gravel plz respond!!!

  • You would need to leave a patch of gravel for them and they would probably dig up all your ground cover anyway

  • hight light or low light? how do i tell??

  • @iamnub672 this is a 3W per litre EI Tank

  • @aranawebs Did you say 3 watts per liter, or did you mean gallon?

  • @exv152 Yes 3 watts per gallon sorry!

  • thanx

  • lol i'm an aquarium noob and i just got all these plants for my aquarium, then i realized i need substrate

    damn it!!!

  • Extraordinary tank!! love it!

  • =O

That's AMAZING!!! The sheer size and the plants and how everything is so artfully designed!!!!! That must've taken LOTS of time and money! =]

Congratulations on your har work paying off and your marvelous tank! =]

  • Awsome tank. What kind of plants do you have in there and what kind of lighting do you use?

  • Comment removed

  • Do you use a gravel tube to change the water?

I am wondering if I could use java moss for carpetting.

Which carpetting plan are u using btw?

  • the water is changed with an ordinary hose pipe, you can use java moss for carpeting but you will have to tie it down. the plant i am usng is Riccia

  • r there some plants that u can just shove down in ur rocks?? and need no substrate cas i just bought some from petco and stuck them down in my rocks and they said that was alright

  • what is that weird clicking sounds from all of your videos?

    beautiful tank btw.

  • Is that a diffuser from the beginning? if it is thats pretty strong haha and what is the foreground?

  • Yes it's a CO2 diffuser

  • Agree with the general consensus here... Beautiful tank, horrible camera work :S

  • nice tank ! what is that dark piece in the Riccia Fluitans; blue algae ?

How do u keep the Riccia down like grass ?

  • The Riccia is kept down by netting it to stones using hairnets and the dark piece is moss

  • horror film style

  • great tank but, how the fuck did you ove your camera? XD

you can see and hear how you circle it on the table or something XD

  • OMG ... nice tank ... but your video taking skills are the WORST !!!

Tell me you don't hear the lens cap BANGING against the camera ?!?!?!?!?!

LOL you must be joking ..... your lack of attention to taking the video completely ruins your beautiful tank~

I'd give you minus stars if I could ....

  • Bravo!! That is what you call a job well done.

  • How do you keep the water so clean and what measurement of yeast and sugar do you recommend for that sizes tank ?

  • Que envidia!

  • CO2?

  • how many litres is that?

  • cool plants

  • what plant covers the bottom of your tank

  • Dwarf Baby's tears

  • love the music. thanks

  • beautiful tank, please tell me the name of the ground cover in the foreground. did you buy all of these gorgeous plants from a website?

  • that grass's species is riccia fluitan...

  • I must agree with you, its Riccia Fluitans.

  • this grass 1:01 is sooo awesome!

  • is that babydwarf? the grass looking stuff i mean?

  • your 120 cm of heaven

  • i LOLED AT THIS!

i mean, somehow it sounds wrong XD

  • what's that white disease on the leafs.

    looks like some cancer.

  • bubbles not a disease just some happy bubbles

  • What's that plant at 2:13?

  • Pogostemon helferi

  • THX Very Much!

  • nice tank..I just hate how neon/cardinal tetras are so overused in the nature style aquariums

  • that tank is so pretty x)

  • Nice tank.

But for Gods sake. The annoying noise in the background is driving me crazy. (You messeing arround)

  • turn of the sound then -.-

  • get shrimps

  • get bigger fish

  • lovely aquarium, congratulations...

  • you have a very nice tank.... very serene and lush...... the tetras are a great schooling fish...check out my 35 gallon ...ru using co2?

  • cardinal tetras are the best looking schooling fish. wtf r u talking about.

  • what the fuck is the purpose of having such a pretty tank if your just going to have tetras

    someone please tell me

every single planted tank i see has nno fishes in it

  • I agree lol. Most people put shrimp and schools of tetras and stuff in them. I'd rather have some ctenopomas and dwarf pikes in that tank.

  • smaller fish won't ruin the plant

  • neither will bigger fish if you get the right species

  • uooOOh..... thanks for your info. definitely not goldfish/koi.....

  • The fish aren't the sole focus of a planted tank.

  • very good work you can be proud of you.

  • Excellent, love that huge bunch of Wendtii.

No alage to see either, well done.

  • oh man soooo good

i wanna make my one like this but it need a lot of time to get once like that... and very good cam^^

    aquarium *****

    cam *****

  • lol.. lube your tripod. nice tank mate

  • oh, i just read now.

cleaning gravel? forget about it, its unnecessary

  • nice tank.

to the americans: plantend tanks are not that difficult, often its enough to use plants that grow under normal light conditions and without co2. use vescularia dubyana, microsorum ptoperus, species of the naias genus, cryptocoryne species like. c. wendtii, valisneria and limnophilia and you will get similar results.

for more special plants you need co2 and much more light.

please excuse my english, i am not a native speaker.

  • I Love your Moss! Growing on the back =^___^=

  • that is beautiful!!!!! this is the kind of aquarium i use to show my friends how i want mine to look like!

    question:

how on earth! do you clean the gravel and do water changes without disrupting the plants?!?

  • WOW your water is so clear

  • Hi can you give more details about your lighting?

    Your tank is very beautiful

  • what do u need to look after plants all mine keep dying your tank looks great what watt light is the best plz respond

  • the best

  • very nice tank... i just dont like the tank shape

  • when you do footage like that try to zoom out first then in ok

  • Hello, very nice plants you have!

I'm planning on starting to plant plants in my tank and i was wondering if you can give me some pointers on what soil or substrate to use that is cheap and effective.

Please private message me anyone that is willing to help.

    Thank you very much.

  • What kind of lighting do you use?

  • absolutely amazing tank. your plants are flourishing nicely and the Ricca is awesome.

    You should add some music

  • wow nice tank man.. is that a massive crypt at 0:40 or is it a weird coloured sword plant? my only criticism is that you should get some biger fish.. no no not oscars and arowanas, but you should get something like a couple pearl gouramis. i think that would make it complete :D

  • what kind of plant is that, taht carpets the floor. is it crystal worts?

  • Yes it is a Crystal wort it'scalled Riccia Flutans

  • dude monster chinese algae eater!

  • is that java moss you got there? nice tank
