you have to be careful when videoing the dog(s) because if the dog is

looking towards the camera the owners can claim that the dogs are

barking at and because of you. i can give a 99.99% gaurantee that the

authorities will not resolve the problem. generally, 3 options:

options: 1) move away 2) the neighbours move away 3) the dog(s) die.

a lot of people it seems will not select option 3. if you do choose option 3 then i suggest anti-freeze on a cold cooked piece of meat or baking chocolate

I'm dealing with the same situation. The neighbor's dog woke me up at 7am. Later that day it started barking again. I walked next door and asked the owner if she could please do something about it. She said, "He's barking because there are kids next door." The kids were in their driveway, talking to their mom, nowhere near the dog. As if the dog having an empty excuse to bark makes it any less annoying for me! I started recording after that. Evidence for court if needed.

I've got the same problem and I've put up with it for over a year. This past weekend the dog escaped my neighbor's yard and followed, barking at everything and person that walked by. A little old lady lives across the street and was weeding her flower garden when the dog ran up to her barking and growling as if to attack. She fell back and put her arms up in self defense before screaming for help.

download the clip, play it over a speaker in your backyard. maybe you will get the same results the Spokane pound did, quieter dogs :)

I hate excessive dog barkers. and I like dogs. thuogh it's not entirely the owners fault, some dogs can just be excessive barkers, other dogs will chew everything from boredom and others will bark all day or even worse.. all night.. they should walk that dog or get a shock collar or something seriously.

I too am dealing with the same problem. Aside from the barking, my other gripe is people who think it's okay for dogs to bark in this way. I started a website, BarkFreeZone to vent. I really have no other ways of dealing with the dog legally. I have already filed 2 formal complaints, which led to two citations. I'm sending my third formal complaint this week. I feel utterly helpless. We can't even enjoy our backyard with our 2 year old son, who just wants to go out and play in his own yard.

Actually my fish tank looks a whole lot clearer. My video camera was not computer compatible so I use a webcam in conjunction with the actual video. Result: a somewhat blurry picture. I figured I needed the sound more to convey the real message.I grabbed whatever I had at the time to capture the torture of the day. My videos, albeit not professional, have improved some.

The courts don't do a whole lot. The last time I complained about a dog that never shut up, I had to take the people to court. They told the judge they had surgery done on him, but the damn thing still barked. So I got frustrated after 3 years, snapped and called them up one night and asked them if they wanted to shut the dog up or hose him off the side of the (expletive) house. I never heard that dog bark again!

I'm rooting for you and following your channel! If you ever need a signature or whatever for any type of movement or support group I'm in. What's weird about your situation is that the cops haven't done anything. Where I live, Butler, PA, we actually have good dog laws. If the dog barks 10 minutes straight with no more than 30 seconds break, the owner will be warned ONCE and then it's absolutely a fine and possible confiscation. I just wish my neighbor's dogs would go nuts like yours! Good Luck!

I feel your pain! Been there off and on for 3 years now. Last I did was record it, document the times, copy it to a CD and send it in to the city. They got back to me in 4 days here and the dog's finally subsided a little bit. But I'll not claim success until I have normalcy for a few weeks.

However, it wasn't talking or negotiating w/ these neighbors.The success in getting this dog to stop was posting videos on youtube,sending the links to the town hall & the warnings they received from the town w/a copy of dog laws. It's not perfect but I didn't expect total silence from this dog. This situation also destroyed cordial neighbor relations w/them.

Locally we have a noise bylaw between 10pm and 7am, and I do call the cops during those times, but during the day they say they can't do anything. Going through the same situation. it's fucking annoying. Just spent half a million on a new home, only to find there is a Yapper next door. Remember it's not the dogs fault it's the owners fault. The owner has a responsibility to use a muzzle or get and anti bark coller or a device that stops the barking if they don't and are not reasonable then you need to call the cops or take matters into your own hands. Seriously, my sister had this problem. She rallied the other neighbors and was able to file suit. They didn't ask for money, just that the owners put the dog through a training course. It worked, hope this helps.

This is not a happy, adorable, friendly bouncing ball of fur. Owning a dog takes a lot of time, money and lots of love and attention.
