Squillaci, however, is utterly hopeless. Also, Rosicky has looked alright so far this season, especially that performance against Udinese!! I think he will flourish this season.

The kid has talent, I just hope he can return to his best form and prove the critics wrong :) That said, I expect the first choice cb pairing will be mertesacker/koscielny in vermaelen's absence.

Bendtner really is underrated, if he can stay consistent he really is a good footballer. Consider that he is only 22 or something and he is competing against proven stars like van Persie, Chamakh, Arshavin, Nasri etc for a starting spot. At any other top team, an average 22 year old (as in a developing player like Bendtner, not Real buying Ozil or something) would be playing reserves and warming the bench.
