  • 2 people hate this gangsta

  • GET DOWN !!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone else notice almost all the comments are merely lyrics to the song we are all enjoying?

You will never see that in today's music. Much peace to Outkast hope your chillin brothers im enjoying your art feeling better than ever get DOWN!

  • Mad flow

  • quit tlkin down on wayne n give him his props him and andre came together on tha carter IV to fuckin take out the illuminati

  • j dilla - phantom of the synths :)

  • @Rickylol45 yea they sampled the shit out of it haha they slowed it down and i think they added som drums too but they spit sick over it. I wish Jay Elect was doing it back than how he is now so he coulda been on this and if he did the same verse.

  • Rofl only 1 dislike :)

  • Them Nigga's that's on that blow that run up in yo crib that contains yo lady and an 8 m0nth old child 2 raise.. plus we true, WE be BOUT this MUSIC- but THEY DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT CAUSE THEY WOULD RATHER BE BOUNCIN AND SHOOTIN AND KILLIN AND BOUNCIN AND SHIT>>>>GET DOWN!!!

  • I dig andre and all.. but someone recommended this song to hear him tear it up fast.. but a good bit of the beginning when he's gettin speedy just sounds sloppy like he just wanted to fit as many words in as he could instead of adding rhythm to em.. IMO

  • both them boys bee snapping its just that DrE 3000 is and was very open mindind more political and came with that deep southern past with his music. Wayne say alot of catch phrases and is not always heart felt but can get very deep also, his music is like a cleche of words while Dre is direct to the point. CLARITY!!!!!!

  • i agree. andre 3000, immortal technique!!!!, dose one, sole, aesop rock, etc (i could name my favorites all day). are the best. i loathe radio-play 'rap'..... the stuff most folks like if they 'like rap'...... but it's all opinion. i just likes what i like.

  • Dude, Thanks SO much for uploading this! I agree with you, this waz back in da day, when da shiz waz fo REAL!

  • that just goes to show theres always ALWAYS at LEAST one hater.

  • Them Nigga's that got them kids, that got enough to buy an ounce; but not enough to bounce them kids to the zoo or to the park, so they grow up in the dark, never seeing light, so they end up being like yo sorry ass, robing nigga's in brod ass daylight, GET DOWN!!! [NO COMMENT] SMDH!!! (Thinking to myself, thats the type of Soul-Food, Alot of brotha's need to try digesting!!)

  • Sure I do, I like Gwen Stefani too.

  • how could that 1 person miss the dislike button??

the like button is twice the size of the dislike button

    anyways dope track

  • Did I miss something, or did Big Boi really mean to say Timex Social Club instead of Club Nouveu? When he says "quit spreading rumors" because that's Timex's song not Club Nouveau's

This has bugged me for ages, any thoughts?

  • @philldafunk perhaps cause the two groups had similar sounds and songs and even the same producers.

timex had the hit "rumors" but club nouveau had a response to rumors called "jealousy''...i just youtubed the two groups and heard for myself lol

  • Just fuckin awesome!! Love the edeiting also :-)

  • check my freestyle out to this instrumental..andre300 would be proud of me...

  • Take a minute...matter of fact, take 4:52 because life is sometimes shorter than that. Listen to REAL music and get REAL inspirations... Respect, cannot be taught, bought, or thought...only a G knows.

  • This is one of Andre's coldest flows! Dudes will appreciate this shit in 20 years just watch!!!

  • GREAT SONG!!!! I JUST FOUND THIS CD AFTER NOT HEARING IT FOR HELLA YEARS MAN I WAS MISSIN IT NO LIE

  • to be gawked at!!

  • Midnight Express beat niggaz

  • The synth line in this song is also used in Doom's Gazzilion Ear, just in case anyone was wondering.

  • @TenThousandYearDoor and j dilla sampled it too in "Phantom of the Synths"

  • i have all the outkast albums they fly ahead of the game as for the wayne comments u need to take another look his metaphors are on point but outkast ol school game with modern twist follow my cherry

  • midnight express tune:)

  • I listen to this when i want to reconnect with real hip hop, and yea lil wayne and max b blow balls

  • Dis That Real Shit,

  • Andre spaaaazed

If there's any Jay Elec fans here, notice how the synth line in the background is the same one from Dimethyltryptamine

  • @Lupend57 Damn, good ear, may be a different key, maybe not. I was just listening to that song last night and I couldn't put my finger on where that loop came from, this would be it then.

  • 3k's a legend, no one can top him, maybe big pun but he's gone or black thought but you cant really compare the two. iHavent been a fan of wayne since lollipop but saying he's not talented; inaccurate. Carter 1? dope? and for soulja boy, idk, his shit is lame but the kid is smart, makes his own beats raps or whatever he does over it and then make a dance that kid fucking eat up, skipping all the middle men and making that $. multimillionaire and hes still a kid, i give em props for that

  • @MarcoOrBust Why can't you compare Black Thought? That makes no sense. He's also a rapper. I love them both.

  • @asdfm i love the roots bro dont get me wrong. black thoughts style is completely different from 3k's, both of them and pun and the best ever in my opinion

  • ....its the return......

  • This nigga 3 Stacks is TOO nice LOL

  • All ATL rappers should thank OUTKAST!!!..they are trendsettaz!!

  • people need to stop fuckin talkin about lil wayne like hes anything he aint shit no more his time was over been over

    somethin' mind unravelin', get down!

  • get down

  • shut your ass up dre 3000 don have no ghost writers

  • @airfresh22 nvm bruh I just realized you were talkin bout Dr.Dre

  • never the nut huggin punk motherfuckers. Outkast

  • Track 2 off Aquemini

  • what album is this on??

  • Comment removed

  • OId Kast! Miss this group the way they were in these days.

  • "Man a nigga don't want no trouble

a playa just want to kick back with my gators off

and watch my lil' girl blow bubbles"

Sickest tune man.. Andre went for one of his top verses on this joint and Big Boi kicked that shit harder than ever!

  • @Roboflex "don't want that but it comes though most of the time when you don't know Stickin' together like flour and water to make that slow dough; we worked for; everything we have and gon' stick up for, each other like we brothers from another mother; Kinda like Mel Gibson and Danny Glover strictly for the Caddy lovers and never the nut huggin' punk motherfuckers" like Eiriklil You hit my favorite verse in this. One of the best works of art to date, but this verse is a damn close second.
  • @Roboflex totally agree! Loved how 3000 put these damn deadbeat dads out there too! Classic!

  • its...the...return!

  • outkast is the best rap. its sad that there isnt any good rap like this

  • You guys really need to improve your grammar. Back to school dawgz! Writing like you talk looks ridiculous...

  • You said Papoose was real hip hop??? You lost me there bro but I feel ya on todays state of hip hop

  • This boi Andre go hard as hell!!!, you can tell he mad as hell and just letting that shit out!!....ATL all day

  • Get Downy and the juice, pig!

  • Big Boi is so underrated!

"Sticking together like water and flour to make that slow dough"

3K my dude to...but niggas need to give Big boi his props

  • True that they was that dynamic duo. love these cats...i just got home from the goodie mob reunion concert in the ATL and big boi showed up! it was truly the bizness!!!

  • Yeah plus him and Killer Mike squash whatever they had...so i hope all them be on the new Outkast album when it drops....not sure when but he said they was coming with a new one after his album.

  • i was wonderin about that killer mike beef, cause he was at the goodie reunion concert too. he was standing off the stage and he was being a true fan jumpin up and down, dancing, and quoting all the lyrics. it was beautiful!

  • Man I would love to see the WHOLE Dungeon Fam back together. Some magazine had an article about them getting back together, I really hope it all pulls through. Truly a sight to see!

  • Dre a genius! Point Blank! Now tell ya mama I said it!!!!

  • Dre? yh hes a good producer, but a mc? na dat nigga had muthaphukkin ghostwriterz..

  • i think he might be talkin about an-dre 3000 my man

  • Yes I was Speaking Of Mr. 3 Stack$

  • I was Talkin Bout Andre Bruh... I never cared much for Dr. Dre, especially not enough to blog or make a comment about him...

  • y u sayin grow up for??

  • @neiloconnor123 Game is my favorite living rapper next to Snoop Dogg, but you are CRAZY if you think he is better than Andre 3000.

Hands down Three Stacks is the best.

  • Real deal, right here..... fuck all that shit you here today...

  • point blank,Andre 3000 is a lyricist not a rapper for those who didnt know

i would take a lyricist over a rapper anyday

  • one of the sickest hard-hitting beats

  • Whoever says Lil Wayne and Soulja Boi are better then Andre need to get clipped. This is da real shit.

  • Can you feel the Real???

    cause I can!!!

  • ''Return of the gangsta thanks ta'

them niggas that thank you soft

and say y'all be gospel rappin'

but they be steady clappin' when you talk about

    bitches & switches & hoes & clothes & weed

let's talk about time travelin' rhyme javelin

somethin' mind unravelin' get down ''

''strictly for the Caddy lovers and never the

    nut huggin' punk motherfuckers''

this is hip hop !!!!!! punk motherfucker !!

  • this is real hip hop !!

  • best verse ever!!! 3000 is light years beyond most rappers

  • yeah crazy verse.... but also think big boi is very underrated. his verse is fire too.

  • It's weird to hear the soundtrack from the film 'midnight express' in a song by Outkast. The original was a really chilling song, perfect for the movie.

    x

  • i love this song. This is real hip hop.Fuck that other bullshit.

  • u little kids are retarded if u think LIL wayne is any where near Andre 3000. The old Andre 3000 was in a diffrent class than any of these rappers alive. Lil wayne aint shit. Go listen to the radio u sheltered fucks

  • hell ya finaly some fucken agrees with me everyone says shit like outkast, the pharcyde,KMD, digable planets. tribe called quest, N.W.A, ect suck what the fuck are they talkng about??? chris brown lil wayne mr fab all the new shit (including most rock) suck balls man dude all thse new people ruined Hip hop who agrees?

  • "Lemme get that new pimp trick gangsta click cd" LOL....The outro skit on this track pretty much sums up all the retards that buy the garbage that's being put out these days.

  • Who do you guys is the best rap duo ever? I say outkast or mobb deep?

  • i'd say outkast is better, they have soo many good stuff.... mobb deeps first album is great though.

  • Well im 17 and i know a tru rapper when i hear one that'swhy i've been bumpin andre since i was little cause he's one of the best ever. real talk.

  • can i just say that taste in music is always subjective?tech nine and andre are both true artists.

whats annoying is all that crank, lil wayne, max b rappers who hurt real hip hop.

  • @kremmydia I agree w you except for lil wayne. you should really take a second look at him.

  • @kremmydia haha outkast is fucking old news bro

  • @kremmydia Word.

  • @kremmydia that was kind of a contradicting statement.

  • @kremmydia you do realize how hypocritical that statement was right?

  • @kremmydia Lil Waynes Dr. Carter was hot tho must admit.

  • His lyrics are often absurd and disjointed, but its not just random punch-lines like with these newbies. Its more along the line of surrealist poetry. He made a risky move in stepping away from the blunt story-driven lyrics of most rap. He did something new, using colorful, sometimes silly, metaphors, symbols, verisimilitude, ambiguity and paradoxes to build upon a theme in a way that allows for personal interpretation.

The only other rapper I know of that does that is Aesop Rock.

  • everendingstory i really like your analysis of his flow i was listening to aesop rock earlier this morning also and then something in my head was like "get on youtube and watch those old dirty south videos"

  • What happened is, these rappers were so concerned with making money and looking cool that they overlooked what made 3000 amazing. For one, he has versatility. Yeah, Andre has a usually slow and mellow feel, but he has so many other styles and flows up his sleeve, and he can spit rapid-fire with the best of them (The Whole World and B.O.B. for example).

  • People don't realize that, for better or worse, Andre is the father of modern mainstream rap. All these bitches, Lil Wayne and the like, their style is a copy of 3000. These "rappers" all have common traits. They are slower than 90s and underground rap, with a laid-back style, with lyrics that are often absurd and disjointed. That all came from 3000 (Now, Stacks may not have monopoly of those techniques, but he is the first to fuse all together in such a way, and he popularized many of them).

  • Tech N9ne I think has a stronger rhythm and a better spitter. But Andre has more creative and infectious lyrics, and has a unique and jazz-influenced, laid-back, spoken word style that is entirely his own.

  • what about goodie mob cee lo dungeon family

  • outkast. fucc t.i. all the fake ass people dancing ass niggas out the A. this is the real shit shit outkast ludacris pastor troy. From H town to the A town its all love outkast baby

  • ill shit right here yo..

  • man this song is a given on the way to work, waked and baked.

  • classic...another joint from my life soundtrack

  • if you dont think 3000 is one of the deepest realist lyrical rappers of our time well...you have zero taste or you are young and grew up this current material manufactured era of this game

  • right right, joe budden also is another underated lyrist listen 2 joe budden feat phil collins

  • wtf...

  • if you dont think 3000 is one of the deepest real true lyrical rappers of our time well...you have zero taste or you are young and you grew up this current materialistic manufactured era.

  • i feel ya man.

These kids of today dnt kw shit. This is da real shit right here.

  • you are a fucking idiot, i dont know how to tell you any better

  • why because i dont agree with what all of u dipshits think

  • I can see what ur sayn but i still think his verses are really tight today aswell, like his verse on green light etc he still got flow overall hes one of the best artist of our time.

  • What are you talking about? While he did do a lot of singing in the last 2 Outkast albums, it didn't mean he lost his rapping skills. Listen to his verse on Green Light, or better yet, hear him spit on the song Royal Flush. He makes both Big Boi AND Raekwon, two seriously great rappers, look pale in comparison to his lines. Its seriously one of the most def verses in recent time.

    He didn't lose shit.

  • green light he has a horrible verse so that was bad 2 even bring that up and i haven't heard royal flush so i cant comment but he will never be as good as he was on the Atliens album and i will guarantee u that!

  • listen art of storytelling part4. that'll change your mind

  • His entire verse on Green Light was a freestyle...he even says it during his verse. Royal Flush on the other hand is insane....very long and sick verse.

  • achillesandroscoe, I want you to read your comment over again, and then go find the nearet person to you and have them slap the taste out of your mouth for writing it.

  • This is when hip hop was still alive R.I.P

  • whatever dude..

  • fuck u and jump off his dick already

  • Long Live Big Boi,Andre and goodie mob. These Youngsters cant touch these grown ass men.

  • oh my goodness i been lookin for this everywhere on here!! :-)

  • I've always said Aquemini is the BEST Outkast album by FAR. This Midnight Express sampled track is superb!

    Thanks uploading.

Outkast, one of the few mainstream groups that are still inovating!

  • Thank You for posting this, and I couldn't agree more with your view on new "Hip Hop". I don't wanna live in the past, but even Outkast don't make 'um like this anymore. The age of respectable hip hop w/ a message is Long Gone.

  • PS achillesandroscoe matter of fact, KILLYOSELF! 4 that b.s. lol

  • achillesandroscoe Smokn' much Crack cut with knock off Ajax and boric acid, please back away from the pipe!

  • LOL HAHA You sounded serious. . . . . . U need to stop lyin

  • damn both those niggaz be on a high level

but i might put andre 3k just a notch above cause he kept revolutionizin the whole time he been in the game

  • if u a gansta u can feel this slang pimpin'

  • r u one?

  • 3 Stacks tore it up. Lyrically, there aren't too many people that can hang with him.

  • Andre can spit his ass off!

  • I heard someone playing the basic melody from this song, does anyone know where it came from originally - the keyboard part??? Sounds like it's from the 70's ????

  • bounty killer and mobb deep : deadly zone

  • Found out one of the composers to Scarface Songs wrote this melody - search youtube for: Giorgio Moroder - (Theme from) Midnight Express (1978)

  • OOOooo this shit is sic for real!
