Did you keep the dog? Please say you did.
We have five dogs (& 3 cats) all adopted. Only one came from the shelter, the others were all strays that were dropped off in our neighborhoods.
I really think mankind has an obligation to take care of the overflow of pets (domesticated animals). We tamed them, we should care for them!
