pleeeeaaase goodrob13, me how to play really easy beatles song i am a beatles freak i have all the albums but pleeeaaase email me benjaminbrenner46@gmail.com
the first verse is incorrect. you have the opening right but, the second part of it does not repeat. It should be E string-5 two times, A string-4 to 7 D-string 5 to 4 A- string for the first half of the riff. second part is A string 7 to E-string 5 2 times to A- 4 to 7 to D- 5 to 4 to A- to 7 to 5. That is the correct way to play the first riff. your positioning is right but, you are not playing it correctly. Play along with the song and you will hear the notes you are missing.
@goodrob13 you are completely missing notes. I play this song all the time rob and you are not playing the verse correctly. As I said listen back to it and you will see. I will make a video response if neeed be to show you where you are messing up.
@BBEEAANN1 He's not missing notes that I can hear...he's just not doing that little pull off that Paul does. The part Rob is playing starting at about 9:00, the last 5 notes he's playing straight-forward but in the song, Paul does a pull off - is that what you're referring to? If not, I don't know what notes are being missed either.
@gigisdad he is missing notes and I am not the only one to have stated this to him. Even if you get the beatles white book which has most of the tab in there you will see it is correct and he is not playing the song correcty. I have stated what notes he is missing and would have posted a video response but, cannot locate my camera. Trust me he is playing the song incorrectly. Get the white book of the beatles recordings and you will have the song correctly.
@BBEEAANN1 I just watched a few other videos of people playing the bass part to "Birthday" and they played the same notes I did. Can you find a video on YouTube that features the notes you claim I'm missing? Thanks!
i know it might be to hard for me to even try, but could you do a video showing how to play "Hey Bulldog" by The Beatles on bass so i can have something to help me learn it?¿?¿?
Great tutorial!! I've been practicing this for a week as a present for my brother's 15th birthday. The Beatles are his favorite band, so I thought this was appropriate. ^_^
Love the videos. I second the request made in the comment below mine. :)

That's pretty good, but after each riff from the bass part there is a little part which you missed ;)
Don't worry though, it's really quiet.
