I remember Chunky from La Rondalla from San Diego State University. I attended SDSU from 1972-1975. The requinto player was from Brawley, CA. There were others from El Valle (Imperial Valley). I would join them and play the maracas and the guiro. We belonged to M.E.C.H.A. and were very active with El Movimiento de Cesar Chavez. I took many pictures of Cesar at the Calexico Armory, at the marches with the Brown Berets, at Delano, CA. Good Job my man! Viva la Raza!
Wow! That was great to see! I met & sang with Chunky on the United Farm Workers' 1,000 mile March from San Diego to L.A. way back in 1975! It's so good to see him again here!! Thank you so much for posting this!

I remember seeing Chunky perform at San Diego State back in '79 I was in program called CAMP I only seen him perform once, but i'll never forget.
