  • you are so cute ..sweet.

  • dude get some dreaddddds!!!!!!!

  • what do you think of the 80 10 10 diet? im starting that.

  • hoot hoot hoot

  • He looks so healthy!

  • I do see what you're trying to say but you're also trying to assume that all foods should be on an equal plane. If you can consume more of Food A than Food B without any negative effects, than Food B is more poisonous.

I think this is the incorrect way to look at it. In fact you can even just look at vitamins as a good analogy to salt/spices. Consuming too much of a vitamin is extremely dangerous but so is deficiency. The quantities you need are so tiny though.

  • The key is moderation as you'd already know. Trying to prove that one food is detrimental to your health by eating nothing BUT that food is the wrong approach no matter how much of it (or how little) it would take to cause harm to your body. Your claim that salt is extremely bad for you is wrong simply for the fact that we can't live without it even IF we only need it in relatively small doses compared to substances like water and carbohydrates or proteins.

  • More important is what you don't eat than what you do eat...taken from my here and buddy, Fred Bisci...

  • You're assuming people eat that stuff all at once in high quantities. Drinking tons of water all at once will cause you to get water poisoning. Does that mean water is poisonous? Of course not.

Salts are absolutely necessary for our bodies. It's an electrolyte. Spices are also very healthy if used PROPERLY. In fact, you can look up several studies comparing Japanese and Indian cultures with consuming meat. Indians tend to have far less ailments from meat because the spices kill bacteria.

  • you remind me of a cult leader...like Manson. You're definitely charismatic.

  • Hi Matt,

    Excellent video!

  • Hi Matt, i wanted to ask whether or not you use salt or if you totally deleted it from your meals? because eating raw is not so difficult for me, but after like one or two days, without any salt, i really crave for it, although i never used much in the past either. thank you. bye.

  • I felt I needed salt & supplements. However once I stopped eating fats like nuts, seeds and oils that all changed (I have max of 1tablespoon per day now, if any at all). I eat lots of fruit instead, plus tender greens and salads. I feel much better & have no cravings. I also have loads more energy + some serious health complaints cleared up. See durianrider video's, Harvey says that he eats no salt & gets his minerals from fruit and the equivalent of 4 lettuce a day. Stuart.

  • Ummm I hope he answered you. Whatever he told you, salt is a necessity... your body will shut down with out it as your heart needs it to function...

  • Matt I was wondering about Alcohol. Is the occational glass of organic wine ok. Also Im a sugar freak....is brown sugar a start in the right direction to easing off the stuff.

  • you know brown sugar is just white sugar with molasses? Honestly, try the 80/10/10 diet and you will never crave sugar again. I'm eating so much fruit, the last thing on earth I want is some kind of dessert with refined sugar.

  • You two are awesome together. Keep it up!

  • I especially appreciate Matts speaking style. Direct and Slow, with a deliberate, deeply thoughtful approach.

Far too many speakers out there speak WAY too fast and its like listening to a runaway chainsaw, you cant absorb a word they're saying or really get a chance to process what the intent they are trying to convey.

You have to replay the Audio or video a few times and listen closely which is aggrivating

Matt, you are an excellent communicator, im learning alot !

  • Adorable but I disagree about colon cleansing especially if one is already on a raw food diet. There is nothing to cleanse out of your system! Anyway I asked my naturopath about it and he siad it wasn't needed especially if you are on a healthy vegan diet before becoming a raw foodist, which I was.

  • ii appreciate your passion + joy + love + light Matt!

  • Oh My Gosh, I loved this video! Yes, you two are the CUTEST!!

    ~Tawni~

  • Is this a joke? I haven't been raw that long, but is this really what happens to a person? And will I tend to allow my personal grooming habits to waiver? Did you just smoke some seriously potent weed (maybe you and Angela made an unscheduled trip to Amsterdam) ha-ha. In any case, this is very amusing.

  • I think he's speaking slow on purpose so that people don't get overwhelmed...

  • Matt, It was great meeting you in NYC at Bonobos the other day. I started reading your book and can't wait to finish reading it.

YOU AND ANGELA are so CUTE! "I think I'm ready for some Papaya" lololol

  • What a great video! Thank you!
