    Quran:

    (Surah-2-the cow-vs-215)

They ask you as to what they should spend. Say: whatever wealth you spend, it is for the parents and the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and wayfarer, and whatever good you do, Allah surely knows it.

    Quran:

    (Surah-4-the women-vs-36)

    and serve allah and do not associate any thing with him, and be good to the parents and to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the neighbor of (your) kin and the alien neighbor, and the companion in a journey and the wayfarer and those whom your right hands possess; surely allah does not love him who is proud, boastful;

This will be our first Thanksgiving without any grandparents there, I can already tell it is going to be a tough one. Thanks for posting this video so we can share moments like this

    And Maria...you are loved

  • Ah bella Maria, so sorry of all your losses to this debilitating disease. It's got to be hard, but your tribute is moving and cathartic I HOPE for you. Memories are dear, but how much more dear if they were here - and you have to believe they are with you still. Beautiful through the sadness. Hugs paesana.

  • The survivors who continue their battles DO offer a great deal of hope.

Maria, I'm sorry you've lost so many loved ones this way. You did a good thing making this video, to say the least.

It really does make you thankful for what you have, and it makes all of the little things that seem to make life difficult.. suddenly seem like nothing at all.

Thanks so muchh.. This was wonderful!

    ♪ Tom

  • Tom, thank you for watching and such a nice comment. (((you)))

  • That was beautiful. My 44 year old cousin has been fighting breast cancer for the last 9 months and just found out it's gone to her brain. There is no treatment or cure.

  • Oh Lola, I am so sorry. Joe's cancer was found because it had metastasized to a tumor in his brain. It is common with renal cancer not to have many symptoms. He had been having headaches and high blood pressure, both having to do with the cancer with anyone's knowledge. By the time they found it, it was too late. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Wow, what a beautiful, love-filled tribute to your family and missed loved ones. I have a very close family member who is a leukemia survivor and I know all to well the pain of the cancer experience. Thank you for sharing this tribute to your Dad and Brother. Peace, Megan :-)

  • Thanks Jason. Pancan, Lustgarten, Am. Cancer Society are the ones I usually give to.. as well as United Way. When you donate to United Way, you can specify exactly where you want it to go. I usually give to the Hospice in my area because they were fabulous to my family with both Dad and Joe.

  • I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I care.

  • Thank you Alana. It means a lot to me.

  • what an awesome video! Life IS to short to live that way. I'm sorry about your dad and brother. I know what it's like to watch someone you love go through that. I am forever changed because of it. I now forgive quickly and let go of the little things. It is definately a big lesson learned because in the grand scheme of things, what good does it do for us to hold onto bitterness. I wish you and your family the best.

  • Thank you Amy. I truly view things differently now. I can't sweat the small stuff anymore....

  • Beautiful tribute Maria. But so sad. I don't know what else to say except I love you. Big hugs, Marc
