No, the characters are drawn lousy (Shang!) and the plot is poor. They could have done a waaaay better job. Apart from that all the characters change - Mulan is unsure of herself and Shang is not as superior and calm as he should be. The father is funny - totally off! And the team of the three is suddenly in love with the princesses... baaa... they could have made the story way better, believe me!
