@Hatorah Why do you believe this?---I mean, how do you really know? How do you know you aren't under some sort of misapprehension? It's always fascinated me why people believe things that are inconsistent with the reality we all experience.

For me, EVIDENCE is the only means to reliable knowledge. FAITH is the permission we give ourselves to believe things without evidence. Faith only takes you on a merry-go-round of imagination and wishful thinking. My only god is reason.

What many people today believe to be the Inquisition is a MYTH. A myth fabricated by Protestants to malign the Catholic Church. The BBC (an organization that is usually very hostile towards the Catholic Church) for once came to it's defense when it made a documentary exposing the historical errors of the Inquisition.
