In accents of the Boston area, the vowel signified by "o" in "orange, pocket, boss," etc., is nothing like the vowel in "calm, father," etc. She is using the Bostonian (or Chicagoan) vowel of "calm" in words with letter "o." I think we can all agree, though, that she has no idea of what she is doing and is in no position to give people lessons in dialects.
