@annhend16 typical response id expect to hear from a christian. i think you should do some more research before you go talking like you know everything. depression is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain, and not a particular style of clothing or music.

@annhend16 and i was gothic all through school.. i had a 98 average in school was never depressed and was an out going member of the church so gothic clothes and music doesnt make a child depress and kill themselves problems at home and depressed in first place does..my friend who was a typical chirstian killed herself because her dad beat her and she didnt wear goth and was a perfect lil christian do mroe research before badmotuhing a certain group of people

@wolfpackleader666 When we look at individual cases its hard to draw a connection between suicide and depressive music. However when looking at the big picture it does have some effect. Its the same case of copycat suicides when a celebrity dies. It sounds stupid if you look at an individual basis, but it actually does have a statistical significance. I'm not saying that depressive music should be banned (I'm a big fan of it), but don't undermine the effects of media on the subconsciousness.

A bit of classic, fantasy lyrics, rock and wonderful melodies. Let your daughter explain to you why she listens to them!!
