Stargate SG-1 is similar to the Nickelodeon animated series Danny Phantom in the following ways:

the Stargate=the Ghost Portal

Daniel Jackson=Daniel, Jack's son

Jack=Jack

Sam=Sam

Teal'c=Tucker

Vala=Valerie

Ra=Hotep-Ra

David Kaufman, who voiced Danny Phantom, also played Mark Gilmore in the Stargate SG-1 season 8 episode "Zero Hour."

Both shows have an episode in which Earth is made intangible (Danny Phantom season 3 finale: "Phantom Planet," Stargate SG-1 season 10: "The Road Not Taken").

Speaking of "Stargate", I found this really funny article on Cracked counting down the top 5 worst crossover slash. The story in the #1 spot involved Dr. McKay from "SG Atlantis" and Jason Fox from the comic strip "Foxtrot." (Personally, though, I can think of an even worse crossover slash: one that also involves a "Stargate" character and an animated one.)

RDA isnt like mcgyver in SG-1. He is much more a leader who has seen his fair share of trouble. He also makes you laugh at many times by just a look or a witty remark. He also is a huge Simpsons fan which you hear every now and then ("Doh..."). I bought the whole series a couple of years ago (then 9 seasons) and within 4 months I was up to date with season 10. Its that addictive.
