The son of a bitch who was firing next to my nephew thought it would be a lot of fun to shoot at rocks 15 feet in front of him. The bullet left a nice little bruise in my big belly but would have cost an eye or a life if it had hit anyone in the face. I was teaching a kid to shoot safe and an "adult" screws up the whole thing.

It is indeed in matte stainless with a laminated green wood stock. I bought 4 30 round mags for this gun many years ago since it looked as though some day we would not be able to buy them legally buy them in California. That day came a few years ago here when I bought this gun but I can still legally keep my mags. Liberals here think the world is safer if the bad guys only have a duffel bag full of 10 round mags. Definately get the Mini Thirty. I have one and I LOVE this rifle. It fires any brand ammo, including wolf (which usually sucks). Plus 7.62 is easier and cheaper to come by right now than .223 due to the war and Law enforcement. I have had no problems with at least 2000 rds fired so far. I have been accurate to 300 yards with the open/peep sights.
Nice! My dad stared me young...got my first gun 21 days after I was born, haha! Born Dec 4 got it on Christmas! Chipmunk .22! I still have it though I've REALLY outgrown it!

Teaching them to shoot from cover. Better than standing and shooting the gun above his head like most retarded combatants. You egt a better shot with less body movement if you can sit and steady the gun. Smart not lazy

It is indeed in matte stainless with a laminated green wood stock. I bought 4 30 round mags for this gun many years ago since it looked as though some day we would not be able to buy them legally buy them in California. That day came a few years ago here when I bought this gun but I can still legally keep my mags. Liberals here think the world is safer if the bad guys only have a duffel bag full of 10 round mags. Go figure.

Maybe maybe not. That practice causes a lot of weapons to jam. Bottom line is it's just bad form IMO...The support should come from his hand resting on the bag, not teetering on the magazine.

Definately get the Mini Thirty. I have one and I LOVE this rifle. It fires any brand ammo, including wolf (which usually sucks). Plus 7.62 is easier and cheaper to come by right now than .223 due to the war and Law enforcement. I have had no problems with at least 2000 rds fired so far. I have been accurate to 300 yards with the open/peep sights.
