  • ok, i have to ask, where can i find blueprints or a kit to one of these?

  • @minesandlookouts

it is all selfmade, there is no kit or blueprints

  • wo hasten du die gleise her?

  • @gangsterrockt Gleise sind auch Eigenbau

  • @baudolino9 aso ok danke

  • was habt ihr denn für einen Garten?!

  • @MaiestroDeDonne: einen großen Garten haben wir :)

  • Also, where did you locate flanged wheels? They are hard to locate in the USA for these larger scales

  • The wheels are self-made as well

  • As for the track, is it genuine T rail? or is it made of bar stock or something similar? Looks Great!

  • achja...5*

  • How did you make the track?

  • The track is selfmade, there are no professional builders that could supply such track

  • Hi, I might be building a 10.25 gauge railway and I was wondering where is a good place to buy track

  • That looks so awesome! i want to ride it hehehe its cute and very nice does it run on gasoline or vegetable oil?

  • Thanks a lot, it runs with diesel.

  • Ah, Note: should try to switch to better clean burning fuel by the way its less expensive to afford and good for the enviorment. or bio diesel :3

  • Well the engine was build in 1985 and is not able to burn such modern fuels. At least all seals would have to be changed, maybe the injector as well. Thats too much for a simple hobby-loco, that runs 50 kilometres a year.

Bio diesel produces more NOx, phosphates and SO2 than ordinary Diesel. Allways have a look on both aspects ;)

  • how it ride??

  • At the momenty it works just by gravity, I'm going to complete the engine with a gear box this year

  • Hmmm Never thought of that, you really sure know your mechanics :3

  • Very nice lookin'railway, it looks like alot of fun, thankyou for postin'it!

  • Thanks a lot, the track is in my parents garden.

  • Well done! I think the non painted look gives it character though... either way she's a little beauty! I'm impressed you have trackage through the local area.. is that right? Or do you have a big backyard?

    Looks like lotsa fun.

  • It is a HATZ-Diesel E673LHK, 2500 rpm, 5 HP, build in 1986. In the late 1960s it was the worlds smallest industrial diesel.

After 5 years of idleness I dismantled and refurbished the complete engine. When the loco is completed, the engine will be finally painted.

  • Very old engine with heavy iron flywheel designed for power generation, probably has never been rebuilt but otherwise it sounds like it runs quite nicely.

  • I WANT A GARDEN RAILWAY! lol dude ive never seen this before

  • Hallo Chris,
