funny, when i learnined to play this song as a little kid, i had never heard this demo but played the song at this same pace and style. i think i was about 8 or 10 when i heard this on my moms cd player in a custom built sony 8 speaker system and had to learn it. i was fixed by the melody. took about 20 min to get the music down. 4 song i ever learned.

Love this song.when it came out i WAS REALLY HOMELESS! My sweet mother divorced my dad and kicked me and my brother out at the same time. I just turned 20 and he just turned 18. He had friends to stay with, I didnt, I stayed in william land park in the bushes, ate out of taco bell dumpster at midnite, and bathed in the sacramento river until the winter it got to cold to bathe in a river so I smelled terrible

@440sac me too. I was homeless in tenn for 35 days in the middle of winter, christmas, and lived under a bridge. my mickey mouse watch froze on my arm. I would go into restaurants and steal ketchup packs and crackers to make tomato soup and this song was always on the radio. Phil has always been my man, love him so much.
