  • estyle40 - As far as i know he is still around working with different artists. i didnt put it the correct way i guess, sorry. I haven't kept up as much in the last 10 years or so. i'm guessing he is doing writing and arranging same as he's done in the past. you don't hear a lot about him because he was primarily in jazz. it would be interesting to see what he's doing now.

  • I Thank God that I grew up in the 70's and 80's with the best Music in the world. That's when we had Hit song after Hit song. There was a Jam coming out almost daily that became a huge hit. The music now and days ain't shit compared to the music from that era. We had the most meaningful and romantic music in the world. When writers and producers put a lot of thought into a song. When music didn't need all that computer advanced crap. Love all my vinyls and play them as often as I can.

  • @Diesels88/I agree with you totally because they would have a great story to tell considering they were an awesome group. With hot music such as this particular one "juicy fruit" which bytheway still is a true classic in my book. This was one of the national athem songs played at the family reunion, birthdays parties, family cookouts, etc. when.I was growing up as a child back in the day and it's still a fond memory today just as yesterday wow how wonderful those were the good times..

  • Comment removed

  • SOMEONE

  • this song is sooooooooo significant .. i still get the goose bumps listening to it .. for soeone to sing this to you .. damn thats special ..

  • the original was a female artist-shawna or something like that-not shania twain-not these guys mtume (never heard of the band mtume) -i thought it was 2007 twain sang at the superbowl-"feel like a woman" song-why didnt she sing the national anthem? are some people getting twain confused with miley cyrus? might explain US mail problems-paid for by ebay and or wellsfargo.

  • I am old skool and I will always be old skool. With that said, a lot of folks want to say Biggie's version better than the original. That's fine. However, when you understand that without amazing songs like 'Juicy Fruit,' 'Walk on by' by Issac Hayes and the like, you wouldn't have 80 percent of hip hop. I'm trying to think of a hip hop hit that DIDN'T feature a sample. Heck, even Pac sampled a grip of his stuff! I appreciate hip hop, but make no mistake - these old skool artists put in the work.

  • I think Biggie remade this song for my cousin when she was alive. "JUICY" R.I.P 1996. Round that time Junior Mafia made "Backstabbers". Who was the creators? Tha Ojayz. 2Pac starred in Juice. A lil game and relevance. Peace #JUICE aka OJ.

  • Keep`s me Sizzlin`..

  • this is the greatest gum song ever written!!!!!!!!!

  • The New York Times produced this?

  • This song creates such an awesome atmosphere.

  • these was some bad mother fuckas back n tha dayz damn it

  • Gta Vice city :)

  • And then it got sampled from Biggie by the Knowmads, so by then it's a double sample! Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • @mmmpie466 william bell - i forgot to be your lover

  • @ilyarse Good N' Plenty juice, LOL...

  • Comment removed

  • Takes me back this is a real tune around for ever

  • Wouldn't have been a Juicy for biggie without Mtume...

  • Hmmm, ever notice how these rap songs that turn into hits have sampled classic tracks? This is why some radio stations will feature a before and after mix...just to expose some that dont know any better, to the original artists that have been sampled. Old school is the shit!

  • Its kinda funny how this song was taken and turned into the best rap song ever. (Biggie Smalls-Juicy)

  • wish music was like this today how come noone plays this stuff anymore?????

  • I like it.

  • Myy Shit ((NMH)) Gotta Love It

  • thanks for letting me post.

  • not the original but good song without the giggles though. doesnt matter one big porno, here we are.

  • @jacob31993 lmaoo u a fool jacob lol joka

  • One of my favorite oldies

  • As we used to say back in the day. This is the long version. I love this!!!!

  • that time ;)

  • Yes! You can make babies off this jam! Eibood...who?

  • One of the nasty-bass-induced-funk-love-jams! Stroke on!

  • BIGGIE. RIP

  • The original video with Biggie was so much better!

  • @orangejuice852 this is the original, biggie sampled this but he sampled it perfectly tho

  • @orangejuice852 bumb arse this is the original biggi just jacked this original but biggi version sounded awesome but still prefere original

  • @orangejuice852 I understand if you like Biggie's sample better than the original artist's recording of this sung. But's let's get this straight, loud and clear. Mtume wrote this sung in 1983 and recorded it. Biggie "sampled it" years later, that means he copied it. As I said, I respect and appreciate your choice as to who you like better, but James Mtume is the writer and original artist. Please remember this: Originals are memories, Samples are reminders. Give credit where credit is do.

  • @DaddySweet100 "Originals are memories, Samples are reminders." - Bang on! Love the way you phrased that.

  • @DaddySweet100

i hate pirates. cant even make there own tracks

xfactor-pop idol and the rest of the corperate crap.. men in suits looking to get fat on the back of killing real music,

  • @DaddySweet100 You're right, but.. "It was all a dream..." the rest is history, don't forget the impact of the lyrics. They also "mastered" the song better for 90s standard.

  • @DaddySweet100 No. Biggie did not "copy it" The producer sampled it and created a beat for Biggie to create a NEW song on. Both are great...

  • @DaddySweet100 ....Real Talk

  • @DaddySweet100 you are right

  • @DaddySweet100 Well said!!!

  • @DaddySweet100 A da last part was real people..

  • @DaddySweet100

and you dignified this with a response because ...?

  • @ronin752 LOL, I was trying to educate him/her. Knowledge is Power.

  • @DaddySweet100

I am an old school rap fan as well.I am 36.But some yrs back I realized that Hip Hop Production (Sampling) puts a limit on your musical ear. That's why a person would appreciate a Sample of a song over the Original Musical Composition.

  • @ESSENCEOFEACHTHING Aaahhh, good point. You've given me a new pespective as to why I see some of the comments from people who are unaware of the old school R&B. Happy Year!!!

  • @DaddySweet100

    Happy New Year!

  • Well put. Meaning that Biggie was not only a listener to Mtume but also a fan.

  • @DaddySweet100 Well said! PREACH!

  • @DaddySweet100 definitely, but hip hop samples made some songs bigger then they were because they were sampled by big rap tunes
