..... or dont have the 'oomph' for a rodeo are then sold on to competent owners who train them on for whatever they want. all of his horses are shod, wormed, ridden WITHOUT the strap around their stomach, only the strap so the rider can holod on, each are groomed at least 3 times a week and none are misteated in any way. for two months of each year, half of the horses are spelled for a break, after the months the other horses are then spellled. Tell me thats cruel.

our local pony club helps out with a rodeo every year. First, everbody, it is just a matter of opinion whether or not you think rodeos are cruel. i, for one, think that the rodeo part held by our pony club isnt cruel in the slightest way. i spoke to the owner the day after the rodeo last year during clean up, and he said he only buys horses from the market (thus saving them from slaughter) and private dealers, which are informed that their horse will be used in rodeo. Horses that no longer buck,

@XxMakeway4docxX let me see, they break calfs backs, steers necks, and horses too, they race foals and often the foal will fall and injure itself, they put a flank strap on bulls and horses tight so it makes them buck in pain and the horses often fall and its not unusual to see horses and calfs killed painfully, also in wild horse races they twitch the ear (more pain) and have been seen using electric prods on horses faces oh and they killed one horse by wrestling it to the floor. All very cruel

Well i have no idea where you have seen a rodeo like that. No rodeo i have ever seen in my life including the hundreds i watch on tv and the other hundreds i watch with my own eyes have NEVER been like that. All people in the rodeo and there to watch ALL CARE VERY DEEPLY about these animals and if one gets hurt they will bring a vet on site right in front of your eyes and tell what is wrong with the animal. And remember that was a CHEYENNE rodeo!

@XxMakeway4docxX the 'cowgirls and cowboys' in rodeos are no more than competitors, real cowboys used to look after cattle and their horses, they were their living and very valuable so they would only handle them if necessary to minimise stress and chance of injury, the contestants at rodeos are not cowboys, they just want to win the prize no matter how stressed or hurt the animal is. You need to wake up and realise the cruelty that goes on.

@DeathKitty123456 Keep in mind this was all at the Cheyenne rodeos, no other rodeo has had that problem, at least not in the US. The horse is not a livestock animal, it's considered an agricultural animal, and are protected in most states.
