The reason most people see this move as Muslims "crying" about it, it's because Islam is one of the few religions that is taken seriously by its followers anymore. If you go to Iraq, for example, everyone prays five times a day and follows the tenants of Islam as best as they can. In the western world, religion is far less serious, and more or less it seems to just be a label. It's not taken nearly as seriously.

The reason most people see this move as Muslims "crying" about it, it's because Islam is one of the few religions that is taken seriously by its followers anymore. If you go to Iraq, for example, everyone prays five times a day and follows the tenants of Islam as best as they can. In the western world, religion is far less serious, and more or less it seems to just be a label. It's not taken nearly as seriously.

I'll drink to that. It was a tech demo that they decided to turn into a game, forgetting to add good gameplay. If they'd have put in decent gameplay, it could've been great. It looked beautiful.
I almost wonder if they were ordered to send in the UPC for credit and destroy the discs, because I snagged one on eBay after the recall, and it was new/sealed, except where they'd used a boxknife to cut through and remove the UPC.

It's not forbidden for people who are not muslim to draw Muhammed.
I'm not muslim and I've drawn Muhammed lots of times in my comics, and I will continue to do so simply because I feel like it.
Your religion has absolutely no power over me and never will have.
I respect your religion but I will never under any circumstances follow it's rules.
Muslims need to learn what respect is, because telling people outside your own religion what we can or can not do is not accpetable on ANY level.

How is the Patriot Act relevent? I don't recall it illegalizing what you say or worship. It stomps on civil liberties, but that's another story for another day.

@metaXzero Actually, the fighter in question is Somalian, not Arabic. And for the record, the real reason this was pulled off the shelves (beside the Love/Hate Chant) was because the game was asinine, with a shallow storyline, and somewhat shoddy gameplay. And BTW, isn't Christianity the same way?

"Real reason"? Looking around, the "real reason" is by most sources the Love/Hate chant. The game being a steaming pile of shit was far from cited as a reason for its pulling. LOTS of shitty games stay on the market, so I don't see why'd they pull it not because of caving into religious backlash and instead for the game sucking in most people's eyes.
