  • I just noticed:

    It's on a land boat.

  • Not quite as fast as the steam ones but it works.

  • @82ndairborne100 i think it just looks that way, and this is also how they calibrate them for specific loads, not to mention on a boat there shooting into the wind and the wind created from the ship it's self. This also could not be a full power shoot.

  • @MrGeforcerFX True, but I've heard that it was difficult to make this work.

  • Yeah the only F-35 ABC prototype that can hover midair while shooting ground target was lost. That one is the baddest one yet. It has twin vulcan cannons right under the jet intakes, and extreme horizontal maneuverability! The overhead turbine not being able withstand concrete was a huge design flaw.

Now, the new F-35 turbines is made with razor sharp adamantium metal, so it'll slice and dice any concrete / bird/ crap that goes to the engine.

  • @rolandtran I guess I have found the most stupid person in the fucking internet... F22 is way better than F35 in air combat.. Learn the facts first....... ps. if your comment was sarcastic.. then forget :D And also you fail... landing with on an aircraft carrier with the cables does not hurt the pilot.. Even turns in combat make way higher Gs.. Clearly you don't know shit about aviation ;)

  • @rolandtran10 you fucking idiot? Do you even know why doesn't the Air Force want F22s anymore?? It was because of the cost of the machines.... -.-' F22 is way better than F35 in air to air combat.. F22 = fighter and F35 = multi purpose

  • @wultor1 well no duh dumb ass.

  • i lold when i found out the f-35c cant land on an aircraft carrier.

  • @strideisgood not being an ass but am genuinely curious. Why cant they land on an aircraft carrier? Do they need a longer airstrip or something?

  • @richardsimons1234 the arrestor hook on the f35 cant catch the arrestor cables on the aircraft carriers because its too short, and to change it would compromise the aircraft.

  • @strideisgood The Marine Variant is made to land Vertically on L class carriers so the NAVY is the only one who's not gonna be able to use it.

  • @26873547 true

  • @26873547 vertical landing will not have any affect on the pilot but landing using cables will increase G force which will casue the pilot to possibly be injured.

  • @rolandtran10 I never said anything anout it affecting the pilot and arrested landings do not increase G-force

  • @26873547 dpends how fast ur going to land example: IF this is even possible... F-22 landing using arrester cables will be extremly short which WILL increase G force THAT WEILL affect the pilot in the cockpit.

  • @rolandtran10 F-22 doesn't land on carriers.

  • @26873547 didnt u read IF IT WAS POSSIBLE.

  • @farmerned6 yeah sry.. it can't do a vertical takeoff :) it can only land like that.. but because of the fast takeoff it can takeoff from a aircraft carrier without a catapult which of course makes the time smaller for the jets to take off.. But actually F35 is kinda fail... it's like way worse than F22 in air to air combat... I know it's multi purpose and F22 isn't but next generation should be better in any aspect IMO

  • @wultor1 u got to think about how much more advanced the F-35 will be compared to air to air F-22. new stuff.

  • So?? bruce willis tested this one many yeas ago.

  • @farmerned6 /watch?v=1wOJ9JImlRs landing VTOL after flying in "normal" state... and /watch?v=CLYrHlUOudc&feature=relmfu "small-runway" takeoff without catapult.... so that's enough... and those after 10 sec of searching..

  • @wultor1 I SAID- "I've yet to see a F-35B take off vertically and then transition to forward flight,"

So why have you only sent links of slow approaches, vertical landings and short take off's? try 20 seconds searching next time maybe?

  • @tmc319 I ment very slow way to do it..

  • @tmc319 it's VTOL ( Vertical Take Office and Landing ) and it doesn't need a runway at all... Only problem it has is that if multiple planes are about to take off the VTOL is very way to do it..and btw did you mean Navy?? Not marines.. And also they are not the only ones to use them...

  • @wultor1 Actually bro these are for all services especially the Marines to replace the historic Harrier

  • @wultor1 Is it?- I mean we've seen one take off and hover, and land vertically, but I've yet to see a F-35B take off vertically and then transition to forward flight, got any links of it doing it?

  • @farmerned6 Well the end of my F-35 School documentary has a F-35 VTOL takeoff and go to strait flight

Click on my Username and it is the Vid titled "The F-35B (UNFINISHED)"

  • @THEHALOSPARTAINSA nice bit of sim- how about some real footage?

  • can someone PLEASE explain to me= why do the Marines need the STVOL version - which still needs a small runway- when a good catapult can do the same trick in roughly the same distance? I mean, the carrier variant is more combat ready than the STOVL anyways.

  • @tmc359 STOVL is for operations off of amphibs (LHDs and LHAs), which have a much smaller deck than a carrier and no catapults. They're used now for helos and harriers, the latter the JSF is supposed to replace

  • @SuperGrrrrr thanks, I understand this. But my point is this: the F35-B has much less room for fuel, has less g-tolerance (7g vs 9g), is much more complex and expensive. So instead of sending out an inferior fighter variant that cant take the stress as well or fly only 60% as far as the "C", why not send out your best fighter and put catapults on your amphibious ships? In this vid, the distance required doesnt look that long.

  • @tmc359 the problem with putting catapults on the amphibs is that then youd need a runway and arresting wires for the landings and thats what wouldn't fit. in my opinion it seems that the military doesn't like change. The marines likely want something to replace the harrier which has the capability of a harrier so that they don't have to adjust the way they operate

  • @SuperGrrrrr thanks for your input.

  • @tmc359 The F-35B will be a spectacular aviation achievement! Once it gets through its testing/developement stage it will have similar range and greater payload capabilities than the F-15C in an all aspect stealthy package. Oh and it is said to have agility nearly identical to an F-18! No wonder it's having growing pains. We are asking the F-35 family to do the work of what 6 or 7 different airframes with 3? This is kinda nuts but im confident we can do it!

  • Wow!

  • why not let use STOVL....wtf..........

  • Such a beautiful plane. I cant wait to see it in formation with the FA/18s

  • i saw 1 yester day saturday the 8th of october

  • Thats what im talking about new US Navy carrier borne fighter

  • Stealing vids ain't cool, NOT A PILOT-LOSER!!!

  • @jurasichero all F-35 do not have a vertical lift and landing system. There are three variants. The F-35A CTOL( Conventional Takeoff or Landing) is the conventional Airframe desigignated for the AF. The F-35C is STOVL (Short Takeoff or Vertical Landing) designated for the Marines. And the F-35C CV (Carrier Variant ) for the Navy. They all differ from each other with the B and C having much beefier Landing Gear for Carrier landings.

  • What a joke of an airplane. This and the F-22 represent the most fantastic pissaway of defense cash in history. A plane with no mission, no balls, and prissy to boot. The gurrlplane.

  • @dirac33 You sir are a retard. The capabilities of both the jets you talk shit about would blow your mind if you knew anything important about them.

  • @dirac33 oh where would you like your TAXPAYER dollars be? paying health services for those unhealthily living deadbeats? or defending the free world from those people who believe in suicide bombings and civilian deaths?

  • @nakazatoGTR The only problem is in the efforts to defend the free world they make it less free. In their efforts to stop people who believe in suicide bombings and civilian deaths they kill far more civilians than terrorists could ever dream of doing. Over 1 million have died in the war on terror and I doubt they were all terrorists. No taxes should not be put into a huge welfare state but neither should they be put into a military empire that creates more enemies for the free world.

  • @ginjaninja1988 yeah and tell me again. i live in a country where 19 Philippine marines where butchered. what would you tell me then that it was a CIA op? i know what you anti-american americans will say. ITS ALL A CONSPIRACY.

and then when asked to back up what you say then you might resort to personal bashing. i know all the moves.

now a gain please back up what you said in the comment, and please do not refer me to sites runs by prison planet, alex jones, etc etc.

  • @nakazatoGTR Actually I love the US. I love the principles of Liberty, Free Market Capitalism and Freedom that the US was founded upon. I also love the fact they have a constution that recognizes the proper role of Government and the Natural Rights of all men. I would agree that there is a need for Defence spending and having a Military. I also would agree that sometimes wars have to be fought and I think it is important to fight to protect ourselves from terrorists and other threats. My only

  • @nakazatoGTR problem is the way it is done. Invading nations and removing governments while spending trillions on conventional wars is not the way to fight terrorism. The best way to fight terrorists is with clandestine forces that cause little or no collateral damage and are cheap. But that doesn't happen and instead the US spends trillions on weapons, aircraft, tanks, missiles etc... and none of it helps keep us safe from a man who wants to blow himself up on a bus. Infact because so many

  • @nakazatoGTR suffer due to the huge amounts of collateral damage our enemies gain more support and funds than they could have ever dreamed of. And the free world looses support with every bomb dropped on a family. On the other hand they pass laws like the Patriot Act and isntall Agencies like the TSA and destroy Liberty and Privacy. On top of all this we create more angry enemies for tomorow's generation and if we learnt to keep our heads out of their business and trade fairly in a free market

  • @nakazatoGTR instead of stealing resources with military might we would find that they would become our friends and we would have few enemies. Today's enemies are enemies becuase fo yesterday's actions against them. Iran for example has been aligned against the US ever since the CIA removed the Shah of Iran and installed a cruel dictator who caused suffering for Iranians. Yet if we had kept our noses out they would probably want to be freinds and trade with us. This isn't conspiracy theory it is

  • @nakazatoGTR common sense. And if the world continues down the road it is on I can easily see a future of serfdom, poverty and world wars. By the I think Alex Jones is a bit nutty. There maybe 15% truth in what he says but the rest is rubbish. My views aren't conspiracy based and the people I learn from are people like Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, John Locke, Friedrich Hayek, Milton Friedman, Ron Paul and other wise men. I study facts not conspiracies. Nice talking to ya :)

  • @ginjaninja1988 wow most of your history is in fact wrong. fact is that iranian secular leadership took over the shah.

you say none of the new tech is preventing a madman from blowing himself up. guess you dont watch all weapons and defense dev videos. you speculate only on what you see, non on what may be being worked on.

patriot act is merely collection of of civilian data for mere cross reference, i work in a company that enforces that so stop being to assumptive on that law.

  • @nakazatoGTR Sorry meant to say they overthrew the democratic Iranian Govt. and installed the Shah as Dictator in its place. That was a typo; but my history is correct. The coup happened on 19 August 1953 and was orchestrated by American and British Intelligence and the operation was called TPAJAX Project. The Shah as Dictator relied heavily upon US support to reign until he was overthrown in 1979. The reason for the coup was the the Iranian Govt. nationalised Iran's oil in 1951 which till that

  • @nakazatoGTR point had been under British Control. Hence the CIA payed and backed riots and mobs and with forced support of the Monarch helped the Shah take control and install a military dictatorship. Does this sound like supporting freedom and democracy to you? Washington continued to arm the regieme and the CIA trained his Secret Police. The Shah was overthrown in 1979 and rightly so most Iranians had and still have a very anti American stance. Thus the US created an enemy for itself and

  • @nakazatoGTR and future generations. And Iran was not the only place. The CIA has been interfering in other nations and overthrowing democratic governments and installing dictators for decades. Its called BLOW BACK. When you interfere you piss people off and make enemies from them and thus they seek to do you harm...thats just plain common sense. As for these weapons...the US Defense Budget is out of control. Planes like the F 35 and F22 do not stop terrorists and neither can conventional

  • @nakazatoGTR warfare. So if things are being designed to stop madmen blowing themselves up then why all the extra waste o stuff that is just over the top. There is no convnetional threat to the US so they could aford to pull back the waste. But they won't because the miltiary industrial complex has Washington by the balls and they waste money on things like the F22 which will not even fly now after billions of dollars and 3 decades of dev. As for the Patriot Act is unconstitutional and

  • @ginjaninja1988 patriot act is actually one of the best ideas around in terms of curbing terror networks. period

  • @nakazatoGTR "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -- Benjamin Franklin. Have a think about it.

  • @ginjaninja1988 so why counter an argument with a quote? patriot act doesnt actually tap your phone, hack emails, and spy in your toilet.

    name

    social sec'ty number

    address.

is that too much info for you to give? lololol

  • @ginjaninja1988 It's funny that people often quote that line when what has actually happened is that a small amount of NON-essential liberty has been sacrificed for some really quite big and long term safety. Perhaps you should give that some thought, too.

  • @Parrotguy1999 Bee's kill more Americans each year than terrorists, should Congress pass a Bumble Honey Act?

  • @priyonjoni The difference is that if humans left Bees alone, Bees would happily leave humans alone.

  • @Parrotguy1999 Oh, the irony.

  • @Parrotguy1999 Lol don't know much about history or the globalist agenda do you? How cute. You're like a little boy trying to fit in with the rest of the kids at school.

  • @SoloWing808 Lol, yeah, big scary men all want to take over the world. Ooooooo, only Alex Jones can save us from the Illuminati! ROFL

I bet you think 9/11 was an inside job, too....

  • @Parrotguy1999 And I also think the sky is blue. Are you going to laugh at that too? lol The 1999 in your screen name is your birth year isn't it?

  • @SoloWing808 ROFL, you don't really believe the "9/11 was an inside job" nuts do you? Aw you poor dear, I was amused but now you just make me feel sorry for you. You at least believe jets hit the twin towers, right? I saw somebody claim the jets were holograms and laser space stations brought the towers down... please tell me you aren't THAT deluded!

And 1999 isn't my birth date, no, just a reference to an old TV show I liked as a kid. You'd have to knock 30 years off for my real birth year.

  • @priyonjoni

    Fuck off Caliphate plant.

  • @nakazatoGTR therefore illegal. If people do not fight tooth and nail for every right to liberty and privacy then they will loose it. You may think it is merely data. But data is power and when applied it can do alot of harm. It is just simply wrong that the Government can rcollect data on you without a warant. Such protections against such things are key to remaining free.

  • @ginjaninja1988 wow i see how little now you know. mere accumulation of data wont get you killed as long you aint a nuisance or a threat. now that it scares the heck outta you then that means you havent been doing good stuf or your just scaring yourself that the gov't is after you for what you think. funny.

ask me what patriot act does in banks:

answer is that merely cross checking social sec number, previous address, date of birth. nothing else.

so whatever you just said is meaningless.

  • the next gen of Top Gun

  • Other questions... The AF, Navy and Army have merged on this base called the JOINT BASE McGuire, Dix Lakehurst. The AF owns the catapult system and the bills for operation go to the Navy to pay. This steam launch system replicates fully the actual carrier system, the only thing NOT the same is a HEADWIND of 35 knots used in actual carrier take-offs. But still you are going for 0-200+mph in about 2 seconds to getjets off the deck. Been at Lakehurst 23 years and love this challenging job.

  • I work at the power plant where the Steam is made (gray building in the background) it makes us proud to be such a part of mission our carrier fleet has and being only hundreds of feet away from the launches is extremely cool. These jets are launched using steam pressure, it has been in use since the 40s - it is NOT the EMALS seen in some videos which is new technology being developed at Lakehurst.

23 years doing thins now and every time I see a jet launched is as exciting as the first.

  • @NJBeemaster An amazing job you have there mate. I wish I could experience something like that. Lets hope this bird works out.

  • Why don't they buy the vertical take off version and skip the catapult?

  • @Stealtht6 The VTOL version of the F-35 sacrifices a considerable amount of performance for VTOL capability. The CATOBAR version has better wing loading, better visibility particularly aft, and more fuel.

  • @Stealtht6 all f-35 have a vertical lift and landing system, on a carrier, it is safer and faster to launch with a catapult.

  • i REALLY hope this is at Farnborough next year

  • @bobsurgranny , going to go to Farnborough and RIAT next year, an F35 would be great to see

  • great vid!

  • that was so badass

  • ill tell u what i dont like this plane all that much on looks but this plane is 1 sexy bitch on a cat shot

  • Very cool!

  • i guess 1 person is afraid the F-35 will get them.

  • When this plane will be rolled out

  • @Zheidentified

The Air Force rolls out the F-35A in 2016, the Navy a bit later.

  • Only one engine. I hope it doesn't flame out. Otherwise a nice replacement for the 40 year old British Harrier.

  • @rm688 My point is, the industrial military complex has you by the balls....& your freedoms have vanished. Did you even notice?

  • @OutbackAL

What freedoms have vanished? The freedom to read your drivel? I can only wish.

  • is this a f-35a or f-35b or a f-35c

  • @CommanderMarines This is the F-35C variant

  • @crew322 thanks

  • GREAT

  • Watch your tax dollars BURN Americans!

  • @OutbackAL I think almost all countries have an airforce this day and age. And we can safely assume its funded by the gov't of the state. SO whats your point bro?

  • This is like right behind my grandmas house lol

  • Looks like the JSF will create someones headache on a distant shore after all!

    WTG! :)

  • i think i'm starting to like the f-35 more

  • Now lets try a f22 ;D

  • @TheMtaTeam I hope that was a joke.

  • @shadowblade145 it is

  • @TheMtaTeam OK good. I know a lot of video game bitches that would think that's possible.

  • Nice :)

  • Stop worrying about the J20. If China needed footage from Top Gun and claim it was a J20 test then the plane is clearly underperforming.

  • looooooooooooool

  • That thing could take off in my driveway!

  • when are we gonna invest in education etc instead of this fighter jets we don't need and are expensive.......o

  • @Tha89Kid when education becomes cool

  • @AviationHD1 hahahaha i guess so,this f-35 is just too cool

  • Sweet!

  • EXCELENTE.

    MUCHAS GRACIAS POR COMPARTIRLO.

    SALUDOS.

  • 0 views 33 likes WTF!

  • @bobsurgranny you didn't know that the likes process faster than the views? ....

  • @omarbadr36 nope but i do know lol

  • @bobsurgranny but i do now

  • @bobsurgranny The views are stealth like the F-35C haha

  • Perhaps I'll fly this in the Marines.

  • That was excellent!!

  • Awesome...... its about time!... looks really stable the added wing area seems perfect..Now landing should be fun to watch this fall!

  • Great!

  • 'tis a momentous day!

  • great vid mate!

  • F-22 cancelled and navy F-35 program still continues..... i really wish i had gone to the naval academy instead of air force xD

  • @Rijelthelovefool no be glad you went to air force, USAFA > USNA and air force has cooler jets

  • @Rijelthelovefool probably F-22 will resume again due to the J-20 threat...

  • @Rijelthelovefool The air force is getting F-35s as well, and a lot more of them than the navy.

  • Awesome footage!

  • Awesome performance
