We're actually not Indian at all. We're Hmong. Our parents were born in Laos and immigrated to the USA. So I guess we can be called NRL's. :)

Why do they like Bollywood so much ?

Well...not all of us like Bollywood, it's just some people. Not all of the dancers like bollywood a lot. They just dance to it.

Here's the scoop. A lot of Bollywood films (along with all sorts of Asian movies) have been dubbed into Hmong since the early 90's. From that, a lot of the Hmong communinity in this generation have really just been into it. I started dancing to Bollywood songs in 1995. Some of the dancers (the boys) are not really into it for the Bollywood-ness, but just for the sake of having a good time together. All the dancers here are from one very large family.
