Troy pool was the nicest guy you ever would meet, ive known him for several years and in alot of ways i looked up to him,i know for a fact that he was no "thug" . he was many things a husband,a father, and a great friend. the world has truly lost one of its greatest people. rest in peace. Troy Van Pool. --Kareem--
Anyone from our area knows the less than stellar reputation of the garland police department(I'm being real nice here) If in doubt tho head over to google and search for "garland police excessive force" WOW!!! huh?
Was anyone other than the 3 people directly involved really close enough to see what happened? or hear what the cop said if anything? Are the only two real witnesses left buddys? Is the cop an otherwise good cop? or known to use excessive force? Was the cop really forced to shoot to defend himself or the other guy? or was this cop looking to shoot? Lots of questions. Hope someone gets some answers :(
If Troy was pointing his gun at the guy(who turned out to be a cop but how could anyone know) how is it that guy pulled his pistol and fired "several" times without Troy reacting, firing himself, or driving away? Is it more likely the guy already had is gun out? what for? and did that guy have the gun on his person at basketball practice? or did he go get it from the car? was that guy already in the parking lot? just happened to be there or did the guy in the other car call him?
Troy is my second cousin, he is my fathers first. I am 33 and have not seen him since I was 6 years old. These actions should not go unquestioned, I feel this should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law, and then farther. Tracy, I am in Charlotte, and I am DW's son. Please contact me if there is anything I can do. Tracy, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. TW's
my father is troy's cousin, he is 63 and i am 33, the last time i saw troy, i was 6 years old. Tracy, you and your wife both thought I was Troy's splittin image. I live in Charlotte, so I hope you know who I am. Tracy, please contact me, get my number thru DW. My thoughts and prayers
I hope this officer feels extreme pain and sorrow knowing he could have easily prevented this tragedy and that he killed a father, a brother, a friend, a former South Garland High School student and resident of the very city you swore to protect. If you were a man Officer Hernandez, you would take the opportunity to publicly apologize to Troy's family for not following protocol in a potentially violent situation and resign at once.
Troy is my boy from back in high-school, and beyond. Though we haven't spoken much over the last few years, we always seemed to run back into each other, though I wish this time hadn't been so long. I still think about him often when remembering the good people I have met over the years. All I can do is offer my sincerest condolences to your family Troy, and remember you for all time and make sure that justice prevails.
and i sincerely hope that corrupt pig gets whats coming to him

Until then, may you rot in hell on earth.
