when i saw the other comments about how Rivers screamed at one part, the first thought was "oh crap, are they going to turn into bands like 'Bring me the Horizon' or 'I Set My Friends on Fire' what is going to happen w/ weezer signing w/ epitaph??? for anyone complaining about the strictly old school weezer fans i believe i can provide some insight. it's not that we expect new weezer to sound like old weezer. all the bands i love sound very different with each album they put out, but each album they put out i like for a different reason. with weezer, i loved the first three albums but only liked a few songs after that. it's not that i expect new stuff to sound like the old, i just expect it to be good.

Yeah I'm sure this album will have some good ones. I actually like this chorus a lot, the simplicity of it, but the verses take some getting used to. I initially wasn't a fan of Rivers newer lyrics using so many damned pop culture references but I'm getting used to it.

wow, this songs actually good. Out of their last two albums the only song i liked was "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" because it reminded me of Bohemian Rhapsody. I thought they were slacking big time for a while there, though, with repetition, safe beats, easy rhymes ...but this is definitely a reassuring song to hear. Back to the roots with quality stuff. I like it!

I think Rivers' vocals are the standout on this song - they remind me of the Kitchen Tape, especially the bridge. I'll have to get used to the chorus melody, to be honest. But the old school raw sound is awesome!

i really dig rivers' vocals on this song. kinda reminds me of "paperface" to some extent especially when he screams :D but what really does it for me is the uber-majestic chorus, with the bell/chime-like keyboard line doubling the vocal melody. it's almost reminiscent of old classical church songs, but set to a punk rock pace :)
