Hmmm, tips... well, start with a feeling, what's something in your heart you want to express? go from there, and try to put the feeling into words. Sometimes I start with the music, and let the chords tell me their mood, and pull that mood from my heart... sometimes I write my words first and find the music that fits... hope that helps.. if you have any more questions, let me know :)

The beautiful voice/harmonies/guitar aside, I love the structure of your songs. The word usage, and phrasing, I think, is part of the reason your songs are so emotional. I think that's also why it is so hard to describe your music. I believe few of us are as eloquent as you seem to be.

Ok, this is definitely one of my favorites of yours.

You have such a distinct style - it has a timeless quality to it - as if it were written in some magical time long ago (medievalish feel (or Irish as someone said on one of your other songs)). It just brings up strong feelings of emotion/moods within me through your melodies...hard to describe, but it's awesome!
