The speed at which this girl has achieved master-level class playing is truly incredible. Some people study guitar for a lifetime and never reach the skill level this girl had at the age of 8 or 9 years old. She is really an inspiring spirit and i have no doubt she'll go down in the history books as one of the best players that have ever been. A true prodigy, the gifted among the gifted.
Anna Likhacheva is a remarkable player, but she is not 'gifted'. Calling someone 'gifted', although a well-meaning statement, instantly takes any credit away from them, as though they were simply given their talent for free. A player like Anna Likhacheva has earned her talent as the result of serious hard work - countless hours of dedicated daily practice - not by some 'gift'.
Over 28000 veiwing and only so few people could be bothered the comment or indicate a 'like'on this marvel of the universe. The six dislikes are just silly insecure people who can only ever be noticed by doing things like this. They are to be pitied. When I see talent like this I feel compelled to react and hail, celebrate and salute her incredible talent. Its so important to express appreciation, respect and reverence. Never heard or seen her before. so very glad I have now!
@arfurlife you are so right she's been working hard since childhood as a very serious guitarrist, anyone who would say negative things about her playing is probably jealous....Viva Anna ! you can see videos of her playing at six years and nine years of age also on you tube !
@arfurlife when i like something as much as i like this it might not show because mostly i just add it to my Favourites :) so i can easily find it again and again

Amazing! This piece contrasts the calm of the inside of a South American Cathedral to the craziness of the streets outside. She plays first two movents with such feeling, then blazes through the third. This is how I believe the piece SHOULD be played. Факинг awesome!!
I play it more slowly because i find it looses richness if played too fast. The last movement's notes seem to merge and superpose themselves, you can't hear them clearly. in any case i admire the capability to speed so much, the last movement it very technical.
You've got a point tesla1981 but don't forget that 'none' stands for 'not one' so your statement should read 'none of here has a right.....' We don't want modern day BBC standards around her, do we?
I agree with bluefelix5's post, and will add that none of us here have a right to declare what the appropriate tempo should be for any of it. That is subjective to the performer, and one can agree or disagree. Watching a dozen people play it at one tempo does not mean they are all "right" either. Barrios' own recording of the second and third movements are varied (his second mvt. is much slower and and the third is quite fast). The performer should choose what they rhythmically feel inside.
Some of you are pretty harsh. I wonder you guys can play it this well, fast or slow? :/ She's 13! What a talent.. imagine what another 20 years of hard practice will produce. Wonderful. :)
@aleksandra901 I agree and disagree with you; if the performer does not match the intended tempo of the composer, (first section is andante, and she nails it) as well as the implied or specifically designated emotional character of the piece, then it would not be quite so wonderful as Ms. Likhacheva's present performance. However, I think @SaiyanCHW may have had a point that everyone missed. She may be playing the piece slightly too fast, particularly the second movement, though it is still good
@SaiyanCHW Yeah i agree. its not suppose to be played this fast. After watching over a dozen people play this , the all play the same speed, except little miss sunshine that wants to be different.
I have a recording of Barrios playing this, and I've heard some great performances of it but have never heard any with quite the fire he had on that old recording - until now. Your performance is astounding. I think Barrios would bow before you if he were alive today.
May you live long and happy and continue spreading your gifts to the world.
I love her ... wanna married me ??

@ximenalaudista

Usually people has an opinion, and that is respectable from any point of view.
