  • Unfortunately, Brian Billick faced many "zip-to-zip" situations with the Ravens.

  • Billick looking buff in his brown leather jacket

  • I wish they still used microphones like that.

  • Gotta love Gene's microphone. Looks phallic.

  • @johned56: Ummm, only to you.

  • " i spent the whole two weeks shucking oysters" i knew there was a reason why i loved this show!

  • OMG "before they were stars" Brian Billick!!!

  • traded in rice-a-roni for the vince lombardi trophy in 2001

  • What's the moniker PM stand for?

  • @NilsMcCloud post meridiem

  • @NilsMcCloud This was the syndicated version that aired right before prime time, in the "PM" in most cities, it was same concept as the daytime version which had the last two digits of the year, like "Match Game 76" and so on. In my hometown market of the Bay Area the daytime version was on CBS and the PM was on the ABC station.

  • fannie flag is like the red-head version of ellen degeneres

  • @nurula007 never thought of that before, but it's true!

  • What year did this first air?

  • Polly Holliday (Flo) should have said, "Why did you have to make him look like Mel?" Of course, Mel (Vic Tayback) from Alice.

  • I always loved how Gene would recite the rules. "Each of you will have three opportunities to match as many of our celebrities; the dingalings; the dingbats; the creatures from the dark lagoon; 'them'; as you possibly can."

  • I love the PM episodes. They were always the last ones taped of a particular session, and were always the wildest! Also, the extra head-to-head match was perfect - much better than the star wheel that came later, IMHO.

  • I would've answered "sleeping" on the first question! I would've matched three of them, then it would be 3-0! :)

  • Good thing Billick was a better coach than he was a match game player, he sucked

  • I just love when they make fun of howard cossell

  • Who would've thought that Billick was going to be a Super Bowl winning coach? He looks way too young :)

  • Flo (Polly Holliday) looks pretty good here...I would "Kiss her Grits"

  • What was with "Howard Cossell"?

  • I've never told anyone this, because I was baby when this show was at its prime, but "Match Game" was the shite.

  • Billick now works as an NFL on FOX analyst.

  • Gene Rayburn is hilarious! I luv his introduction to this episode, reading the newspaper and so on... :)

  • Unfortunately, Gene Rayburn, Brett Sommers, Charles Nelson Reilly and Johnny Olsen have all passed away. Dawson is still alive.

  • @fannywiper Dick Martin has also passed away.

  • I wonder if he was making whoopie with charles nelson reilly backstage

  • hey he actually looks the same without the hair

  • Brian Billick was on this????? everyone can poop on this if they want, but Brian wasnt very good on this show

  • Polly Holliday Rocks!!!!!!

  • LMAO that was awesome

  • was it possible for this show to have too many jokes?

  • GO RAVENS!!!

  • Go Ravens

  • Sweet leather jacket. *LOL*

  • lol good one

  • too bad Brian Billick could not find a perfect match when it comes to QB's. Boller,Grbac,Dilfer,Banks,Smith,Mitchell,Redman, and Case.

  • He found it in Dilfer but let it go for the more flashy but soft and stupid Grbac.

  • hahaha nice zinger!

  • Ahhh, my beloved match game. Thanks for putting this up. It really takes me back. Lots of good memories around this time. I always love the match game for giving me a vibe up, it's so funny.

  • have you any idea what yr this was broadcast? even tho i'm from chicago not baltimore i know this brian billick guy very well!!

  • who would have thought that fannie flagg would become a famous author

  • kingsfrlf, Howard Cosell is an ABC sports announcer

  • whos howard cosell

  • The sped up era of Match Game PM from 2003-2004. I hated this when GSN did this.

  • They still ARE - it bugs the hell out of me!

  • They still do? I never noticed. Except for the Dawson Family Feud opening.

Must've slowed the speed a bit since 2004, becuse here, it's pretty noticeable.

  • Watch "MG '76" during the daytime - it is especially noticeable during the 'think musics!'

  • GSN went back to 1974.

  • Also, it makes you wonder if their tapes are in PAL format.

  • That's because Jimmie Walker was a guest on "GSN Live" this week - it should go back to "MG '76" after that.

  • Who really knew that former Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick was on Match game? Amazing!!!

  • Too bad he didn't win though...
