What a terrible idea, I admit FFVII was okay but it is nowhere near the superiority of linear games like Uncharted, Halo, Killzone or Gears of War. Minigames like this are pointless and do nothing but distract from the main narrative. Its obvious that the only people who support and obsess over things like open-world, use minigames and sidestories are Japanophiles and EDGE readers. FFXIII was a brilliant step in the right direction and its undoubted that linear games are the future of gaming.
