As for the 40's and 50's being the best decade we may ever know? Hmmm. Depends. I'm African American. I doubt things would have been the same for me as they were for Dean and Jerry. More like it was for Sammy Davis Jr or worse. I would have had good friends that stood up for me the best they could, like Frank Sinatra.

The other guy, that is Jerry Lewis did really have that kind of voice when he made his film and he was one of the greatest comic artists during that period and made a lot of films with Dean Martin, who is absolutely fantastic with his voice of honey, and I can tell you that it's really worth while go and check one of his films, you'll understand who was Jim Carrey's idol when he was a kid and from who he has learned a lot of things. Anyway, they were both great artists!!
