Beautiful job, this is a all time favorite of mine. You have a great Eva Cassidy sound when you sing, you space vocal rhythm like her, very beautiful. Might I give a little coaching, and when you hold a note stay on the vowel, otherwise don't change that sweetness that you have. You are very talented, and even more considering your age.

when you reach the high notes, drop your jaw, support your voice by tightening your stomach muscles and don't let your chin rise, as this will straign your voice and won't let the sound come out better. keep your head and chin at eye level all the way through the piece to improve on the high notes. I sing this song and i know it is a little high, but doing these techniques my singing teacher taught me, will help you project and present the notes comfortably and properly. well done!

You play very well and have a tuneful voice yet the key seems a little high. You are currently singing the song in G major. Have you ever tried to sing this song a tone or a tone & 1/2 lower (i.e. in F major - capo on 3rd or E major -2nd fret )? You would use utilise your lower 'chest' voice more and achieve a warmer tone. Just a thought. Keep up the good work :)

Well, hehe. I played blackbird too fast back then. The song really is supposed to be played slower. To be smooth . . . you just need to be confident about the notes and the picking. Smooth transitions. I bet you could learn more by watching Paul McCartney play it. Now that is how it is really supposed to sound. I have his video saved under my favorites.
