  • @jwhensley100 please don't spam my videos

  • OMG, is that an ash tray sitting just above your keyboard? Shame on you!!! j/k

    Thanks for the vid man.

  • GrimmGreen, big fan!, i got my prodigy v2 last week, having trouble with vapor production. and I saw somewhere to removed the fiber threads or the wick. Is that a good idea or dangerous?

  • @oldspice4444 dude nice job on the V2 , so i have not had much success with removing the fibers from the atty , but some people swear by it. i don't think it's "dangerous" but it gave me a pretty bad burnt flavor when i tried it.

  • @4:25 "Pro Tip" eh? LoL! That was very funny and good info, keep up the good work and of course Keep On Vaping!

  • I'm glad most of the posts here have had good luck with the V2, but that has not been my experience. The switch started failing within hours, getting to 10-12 pushes before it would work. Held out for and installed the switch upgrade and had the same issues again. Also went through as many as 5 atomizers within 24 hours - Never overtightened, never held the button down longer than 3 seconds and never ran it dry. Unit is in for repair with Steve right now. If the unit is fixed will update.

  • @unclepervy666 yeah keep me posted , i know Steve and the puresmoker crew are working hard on fixing the switch issues. i have never had a problem with mine , still using the original switch

  • I put down my 901 when I was laid off from my job last april. Now I'm back to work at a non smoking allowed job and need to start vaping again. I had gotten out of touch with new models and was going to get a 501 until I saw this video, now I'm going to get one of these V2 units instead. Thanks for the review and the cool logo ;)

  • Today's the day. Batteries charging. Soon I will enter that "creamy center of vaping" that I have been longing for.

  • WELL!! what's the verdict! ?

  • Kicked my ass from here to vaping bliss. Very satisfied, although now I have to perfect my dripping technique. Started to melt a cart before realizing how hot the atty was getting. T-tips should help on that front. (this thing had me feeling like such a novice for the first hour or so.) Now that I got past the learning curve, I can't see going back to 3.7 volt vaping. I'VE BEEN COMPLETELY SPOILED!

  • Got the V2 on your recommendation. absolutely love it. Keep up the good work man, you're the voice of vaping Nick!!!

  • AWESOME! glad you like it , i love mine for sure. Keep vaping buddy!

  • Excellent vavor.

  • Hoping my V2 ships soon, nice that they are swapping out the switches first. Hey, if you need a laugh, watch this video with the new google captions. Weird as hell translations such as "Barney with an unusual mantra all day!" Nice review, looking forward to getting mine.

  • HEY RICH! good choice on the V2 , i friggin love mine.

  • Just received confirmation that my two V2s are on the way! My wife and I can't wait. Thanks again for sharing so much info on all these devices, really helps one feel more confident when spending such amounts on a single device. Another great quote from YouTube's closed captioning of this review: "They're still not just country like a normal flight attendant." Seriously, you have to check out the transcription, priceless.

  • Can u make a short vid of what you did with the dental pic and the center post? Not sure exactly what you mean with that. I may have thrown 3 attys away that were still good cuz they didn't fire at all.

  • i will do my best good sir , might not be for a week or 2 as i am pretty backed up right now lol

  • Your vid here sold me on this mod, i have a black silver bullet that i love but it's more of a "table top" device for me and not very "pocket friendly", it's like a boat anchor compared to the V2...lol.

puresmoker kicked ass and included some freebies, very impressed!!

this V2 is perfect for me, i have no need to go back to 3.7 volts.

right now i am direct dripping a modded cartomizer, i took it apart and drilled out the white cap, tossed the rubber ring and put the cap back in...works great!!.

  • Im considering ordering this or the Silver Bullet..

Im really looking for a high voltage device to give me an extra kick..

I still smoke some analoges because of cravings, so i need a device that really can kick theese cravings away...

The Prodigy is cheaper in EU, and it is smaller and i quite like that...

Would the Prodigy be able to provide a really good warm kick...or is the Silvet Bullet just better in providing an analoge crave-killing kick? :)

  • the V2 provides plenty of kick lol. Nice thick warm vapor , at least with a 510 which is all i have for it. The silver bullet is also great , i can honestly hardly tell a difference between the 2. I have heard Rob from altsmoke say that the SB runs closer to 5v anyway.

  • Thanks a lot for the reply!, That got rid og some prodigy V2 doubts :)

The Prodigy V2 is a bit cheaper here in EU, and it really looks super sleek...

Love your reviews btw, keep up the good work!

    Keep on Toot'in ;-)

  • the advantages of the V2 over the silver bullet is less size and weight, slightly less cost, if you drip and drip too much juice sometimes like i do the V2 has a recess or well that will keep juice from running down the side and onto your hands.

i like the switch on both mods.

  • Nick could you please elaborate a little more on the adapter for the 510, I drip a lot but would like to

be able to use a cart for school. I trust your videos and appreciate your time.

  • what would you like to know ? the adapter doesn't affect the cart at all. it's no different that any other PV in that sense.

  • Nick, I want to buy a V2 eventually, the ONLY thing holding me back is what I've heard about the switch. On the ECF Puresmoker forum there are several people complaining about the switch not firing every time. Have you had any problems with your switch?

  • i can only speak for myself ,but i have has zero issues with the switch , from the very begining it has fired every time. i mentioned this on vaporcast , but sometimes i have problems with the center post on the V2 adapter not making contact with the atomizer. I will usually have to wiggle the center post down a bit on the atomizer and then it will make perfect contact. But the switch? mine works every time.

  • @GrimmGreen Thanks man, good to know. Looks like a solid device and 5 volts is great for me.

  • I had the same problem after reading several posts, I switched the contacts to the round side.

Its a mean machine now and hardly leaves my hand. Fires around 95 % of the time. Hope this helps you-vape on!

  • @5n34k my switch had machining debris (pieces of delrin) left inside from manufacturing...i did have misfires, i did a good cleaning on the entire V2 and it has been rock solid since.

the post manufacture cleaning and deburring was good but could have been better. to have a human go over every single unit with a magnifier for perfection would increase the cost and delivery time...cleaning was easy and only took a few minutes plus i got to see how the switch is designed and built....SOLID!!

  • sorry for the late reply , what Chad said makes a lot of sense , the V2 and the SB feel very similar voltage wise. The V2 might be a touch more mellow with the 510 atty , and about the same with a 901 atty.

  • Well, it better be good, because I ordered one of these based on this review! I have only done 3.7v thus far, so I'm very excited to try higher voltage!

I have gone back through just about all of your vids and learned most of what I know about the vaping world from you. Thanks for all your reviews, man!

I just wish they had waffle juice in stock... :(

  • well thank you for the support buddy. Let me know what you think of the V2 , i love this thing.

  • I just tried it for the first time, and my first time at high voltage on any device, and its awesome! Nice construction, weight... man, I am looking forward to using this one with some different juices. I got a free sample of their grape, which was good, but not super flavorful. I just put some Johnson Creek Peach in there, and its awesome! Still waiting on waffle juice...(!) I have to try old my old juices on high voltage now!

  • Hi Nick, nice review as always. I really like the new photo addition to your videos, it add a nice Pro Touch to your vid and help people get a better idea. By your recommendation, I was going to your order a Prodigy or Protege (can't remember which one right now), but, because I spend most part of my time in from of a PC (at home and at work), I ordered a VP PT (I hope it get here tomorrow). Next time I will order a new Prodigy V2 with that awesome logo (congrats by the way).

    Ruben.

  • Hey, I liked how you incorporated pics into the review. Nice additions.

  • Be careful with your adaptor because mine fell apart on me when I was unscrewing the atomizer. The center brass part is pressed in there and the stainless doesn't hold on to it well. And yes the logo is bad ass!

  • wow , that sucks... i kind of noticed that every once and a while it feels very slightly wiggly. Not all the time , just sometimes , and i can never reproduce it.. it seems so random.

  • @vapnaway Damn!!! My 510 adapter did the same thing yesterday! Only used it for 1 day and the next day i screwed on my atty and it kept turning and turning, I take the atty off and the brass fitting inside the actual adapter housing just pops right out........The damn thing just fell apart!!!!

  • YEP... looks like PS has another mass recall on their hands.... You get what you pay for....

  • hmmm , i have been trying to reproduce what is happening to you but i can't. Mine wont even wiggle anymore. I wonder who else this is happening to? sucks for Steve....

  • Grimm, great vid as always. Using photos is a new twist that really works. I see a new trend in video reviews coming. Keep it up, rocker!

  • Damn, just ordered one...I swear Nick...you're not helping me man with the wife aggro. Oh shit, just listened to the candy man song, gotta go!

  • The V2 has made me a dripper! Never was before. Modded a normal 510 cart to be shorter and a larger hole to be drip-friendly (like a plastic version of the Super-T-tip). I'm so done with polyfill. The V2 rules!

  • Awesome video like usual Grimm. I can't wait for your website. You keep making videos, I'll keep watching them!!!

  • Hey Nick: Ya, with such a nice looking device I think the switch is hoakie, Its too bad its not a nicer switch like the Silver Bullet has. Oh well... Once again great vid as usuall!

  • "And if you know me... And none of you do."

  • ha ha.. yhea , i realize that sounded kind of "dick-ish" when i re-watched it..

  • No it was just funny how it all came out.

Anyways, great video again. I like that picture thing you did too, it's nicer than putting up to the camera haha.

If I had money to dish out on a high volt device, I'd probably get this one. Too bad I don't :(

  • looks like a pretty sweet device, I may have to put this on the list of ones to try out down the road

  • Hello Grimminator, I have a bit of a gripe my friend. It seems that most of the PV's that are coming out are all alike. They have different shapes but they all taste the same. I think I am buying them expecting something new and after a day or two I want something new again? I think the ultimate one will be the PV that holds about a milligram or two of liquid at once so you don't have to keep dripping. I am still digging your videos though because you do them HONESTLY. Quincy Vapor, Paneeks

  • @Paneeks1960 2 words..... The Juicebox :)

  • I love my V2, I Turtle waxed it for an even smoother feel. The logo looks awesome on it, I voted for it!

  • whoo hoo! thanks buddy , turtle wax is a great idea , i'll have to give mine a shine up.

  • Great vid as usual Grimm!

  • thanks Mace!

  • my usps iphone app says mine arrived today but i dont see it anywhere...we will see if its here on monday...i was so excited to get home from work at almost 4am and vape on it too, but no :(

my kick ass menthol juice from MFS was supposed to be here today too now that i look at this app again, so maybe my postman took a half day to get drunk

    great vis once again Grimm!

  • Great review as always but i have a question, if i get a protege or a prodigy will my attys from my 2012 solarflair work with either device or would i need new attys for all my flavors. Thanks as always grimm you changed my life with vaping!!!!!!

  • i don't think that puresmoker sells a DSE-103 adapter for any of their devices , if you look around the forums there may be a modder willing to make you an adapter.

  • Hey, I was thinking about buying one of these devices after watching your reviews. Now, I have a question about juices. I have quite a few juices now and they're not specifically "high volt juices". I was curious as to what the differences are between so-called regular juices and high-volt juices.

  • the only thing i have noticed in "high voltage" juices is that they are usually lower MG nicotine and are much thicker than normal juice.

  • very nice vid...been waiting for your follow-up...

since getting the v2...its all i ever use

soon...i got a reply from puresmoker that they will be offering a switch to go 6v

  • im sure gonna love it just another great item from puresmoker, just have to see if it takes 6 weeks for it to show up like my protege did. keep up the good work

  • haha, i wish this video was made about 3 weeks ago, lol... i was using the VP PT with the 510 adapter and when i took the atty off to put on my spade BOOM.. no fire.. i started freaking out thinking that the PT with its 5v goodness was an atty destroyer!! Took me about 3 days to realize that the "post (nub)" in the atty had been pressed down from the adapter and that all i had to do was pull it back up a bit with a knife!! I felt pretty stupid and extremely relieved :)

  • AS far as waiting for batts for the GLV, it still works fine on the Tenergy for the V2.

  • Thanks Grimm, I was feeling "ify" about purchasing from Puresmoker because they sell Dekang. Do you know the origin of the V2, where its made?

  • the V2 is %100 made in the USA bud , no fake. Steve often post pictures of them being made and machined out.

  • I'm not your bud..... friend :P Its good to know its made with quality items and lead free lol.

  • who you callin friend pal? hah. and yeah , i much prefer supporting USA made stuff... it doesn't always mean that it's made better , but i feel better about it.

  • Saturday night and I'm still waiting on my prodigy v2. :(

    I'm getting drunk.

  • OH NO!!! , sorry boss... well now at least you know it will be there Monday..

  • Nice job with the close-up pics. Really helps illustrate what you are telling us about the button size and how the batteries fit. Looks like a great mod at a great price.

  • YO! thanks boss , i'm hoping to be able to add some close up pictures to the reviews.. instead of just trying to hold it close up to the camera ha ha

  • 1) do you ever find that vapeing has an effect on the digestion, not the appetite, but the digestion?

    2) i had a passthrough that i powered of a 1000ma adapter. It burned my liquids and make nasty tastes in the atomisers. Are there any 3v passthrough type devices or 3v USB mains adapters, or 5v - 3v converters?

  • 1) .. no ... i'm pretty sure vaping only delivers nicotine... as it should.

    2) I know that traditional Chinese made passthroughs run at 3.7v maybe 4v out of a computer

  • It's a bit more for the full kit. The $70 gets you the device minus batteries, charger and atomizer. It's closer to $100 if this is your first mod. But still an excellent deal. You'll pay just as much getting the atomizer, charger and batteries separately once you add up all the shipping. Awesome review and logo Nick!

  • ahh , thanks for clarifying buddy... i'll have to made a note in the sidebar.. doh!

  • grimm like always ur reviews are well done and i listen to ur advice and opinion on juices and devices. and with this follow up i am sure to get the V2 for sure as my next device.

  • Nice Grim,

Your production values are getting really solid. Loving the detail pictures.

  • nice grimm that logo does look cherry on there man now you got me wanting one over a SB

  • i think right now ... i would choose the V2 over the SB... same batteries... but a much smaller size.. touch choice though JL ha ha..

  • Man. got me wondering if I should rethink my first HV device when I can get one.

    Great review as usual.

And now back to the last 4 episodes of this season of Dexter.

  • holy crap i love Dexter ha ha... the V2 is bad ass , but any HV device should perform pretty well for you. Let me know what you decide.

  • damn I wasn't expecting that end to the season lol

Yeah I've been thinking a Chuck for its versatility but that V2 is pretty sweet by the sounds of it. But then again by the time I'm in a position to buy one there will probably be half a dozen or more new choices out there lol

  • So now I want a 5v device too. Great review...

  • Thanks Andy! the V2 is super solid , it uses the same batteries that the SilverBullet you have uses.... it's just a touch more mellow in my opinion. Cheers!

  • "Whats in the news Robin" exactly what is the meaning behind that?

  • ha ha... that's a reference to both Penn Jillette and Howard Stern.

  • Damn you Grimm! I knew you would come back with a solid follow up on this thing. I love 5v on my PS passthrough. Now I have to get this portable version... Yeah, I'm blaming you. =Þ

    Excellent review as always.

Oh... question - Is that adapter aluminum or stainless steel?

  • lol , blame me all you want.. i'm ok with it. The adapters are stainless , same as the body.

  • Cool vid! I think you just made a new pv term, flapor, flavor vapor combo! hmm well see if it catches on.

  • yeah the 510 V2 has great "FLAPOR" ha ha.

  • i have a volcano e cig can some1 tell me were i can buy empty cartridges so i can drip?

  • if you pull the polyester batting out of a cartridge , you can use it to drip

  • Just got the V2 and I love it! Very well made, smooth device. I have to get the kinks out with my other devices but this one has worked exceptionally well from the start. My issue with the button has been the pointy corners being slightly annoying, but that's a minor thing to me. The GLV's new button is the best the I've come across so far. Thanks for the review.

  • funny you say that , i have a GLV waiting to be reviewed... need batteries first... but i was just commenting today on how i love the way the button feels on it.

  • Dude, bad ass logo on the V2, i gotta get that thing. and for 70 bucks?! thats a fucking steal.

  • yeah , it's a screaming deal... with batteries and a charger.. you can't go wrong.
