I've been listening to AFI for 14 years, and I really REALLY have to wonder why the heck you annunciate so dang much.

AFI's songs aren't MEANT to be sung that way.

You have an ok voice for like Glee or Broadway or something. But most definitely NOT for genres like AFI, Blaqk Audio, things like that. They are meant to be rougher. Not clean and show-tune sounding.

@KateLaWate Listening to AFI for 14 years doesn't suddenly make you the authority on how a song is "meant" to be sung. Every voice is different, and mine is a little cleaner (ESPECIALLY here) because at the time, I was in a group that definitely required that kind of singing. But either way, it shouldn't matter. I'd rather sound like myself, than anyone else.

@KateLaWate I call bullshit. If you've been listening to AFI for fourteen years you would have been five originally, since you're nineteen.

Now, AFI first formed in ninety one, when you were born, and their first album was released the year you were born.

These first albums had, I'll agree, very little enunciation, but notice the style of their singing with their current lineup which was in ninety eight. The style has changed to a great degree, and Blaqk Audio CERTAINLY uses proper ennunciation

You have a really nice voice.I rarely like female singers and you are an exception to that.I think you did an excellent job.And this is one of the first songs I heard by them...havent been a fan for long , since like 7th grade and I'm now a Junior in H/S...But the vocals and words on this song(or any of their Sing The Sorrow song) is so much darker and heavier(excluding newest album) compared to their older stuff(though Davey is a lyrical genius)and I think you captured that feel.Good job.
