first of dont get a compaq presario ive personally had bad experienes with them and 6 cell battery not so great.... it will only last around a year and a half and probably one session will be around an hour and a half although thats when its new when its old its battery will only last like 20 mins what im trying to say is GET A 9 CELL BATTERY costs a little more but in the end your battery will last years to come

what would a good laptop be for college? i need something that is good for games, has a nice keyboard, is fast and is not a mac(i dont like macs). Price and weight don't really matter although under $1500 would be great.

Call some mom/pop Computer places, and ask if they carry refurbushed laptops, and explain what you want it for. Don't go lookin for a laptop at bestbuy, because all the ones there use vista as the operating system, and vista sucks.

you can still get 'black bars' on movies shot in a super-widescreen format. BTW I don't think you can buy a luxury laptop for an un-luxury price. A MacBook would be considered luxury. IMO any laptop under $500 is a complete POS.

macbook. it has all of that and it is way quicker than all those other computer that have a 3 gig ram. i have a mac mini with 1 gig ram and it runs faster and better than my sisters brand new dell inspiron notebook with 3 gigs of ram. might be a little more expencive but its worth the money
