  • There is another Artesian Well behind Turner Field. It's not easily seen, so they can't make anyone cap it as they did the one on First street. And the police are not corrupt.

  • That is not correct about the owner of the Artesian Well in Humble. The owner was forced by the subsidence board to put a cap on the Artesian Well because they said it was causing subsidence. He didn't want to, but he was forced to. He knew that if he put a cap on it, it would probably quit flowing...and he was right. The city of Humble took it upon themselves to at least keep it going as a fountain. What the water subsidence board doesn't know is that there is another artesian well.

  • I found this by accident, its lovely. I was married to my husband by Judge Tom Lawrence in the County Court Humble in 1998 and so Humble is very special to two Brits!

  • Just like the old well on the corner of South Houston which the City decided to charge the owner for the water coming naturally out of the ground so he shut it down....

  • And BEWARE they have the most corrupt Police Department you will ever see...yes I have the proof

  • And BEWARE they have the most corrupt POlice Department you will ever see...yes I have the proof

  • @shizabot

Township and The Pines are nothing but drugs now. Little Latino thugs on bikes starting fights and slinging.

  • This songs needs updated. For who else will chronicle the plight of the illegals who piss in the grass, litter the bushes with their empties, and sit 30 to a curb?

  • you dont have to believe me. but i would advise against buying property there anymore. no, im not from humble but i grew up there, and i know better than to enroll my kids in school there now, so i moved away. look into gary, indiana. they never believed it would end like it did either, and couldnt believe how fast it went. its the midwest right now, but it spreads.

  • its a one industry town whose industry "moved on" years ago. (actually it was oil and the greedy owners of those old oil wells didnt take it slow like they were supposed to and instead pulled so hard they drew water into the oil from the water table, and ruined those wells, and drove Humble Oil right out of business.) so now all thats there is the airport. thats only going to sustain for a short period of time. sorry, but it will go down like gary and detroit only smaller.

  • That is a little exaggerated. It's not near that bad. I have lots of friends who still live in old Humble and they walk the streets all the time. I work in Baytown and it's a lot worse there.

  • kingwood rocks, but i would much sooner live in humble

  • I agree with you.

  • hahahaha this is a pathetic ode to a patheticly arrogant town

  • You obviously are not from Humble. We don't need people like you in Humble. Just keep moving up the road.

  • hahaha not from humble...hahaha wow your something else...born and raised, but i stand by wht i've said...though...it does have its good parts...needs a guitar center though

  • its gone down fast.. want to see how it ends? look-up gary indiana. i dont know why but when a town goes dark... it becomes unsafe.

  • I don't think it will ever get that bad. It's not any worse that Baytown, Conroe, etc.

  • Humble has been around since the turn of the century. It's going to go down now? I don't think so. People from my generation are starting to move back there. It will never be like you describe. Too many people love it and care about it. You must not be from Humble or you would know this.

  • I also grew up in Humble. HHS class of 1997. I go back to visit my family on the major dates such as xmas and thanksgiving and it saddens me to see how the town has changed for the worst. Already expressed by most of you here.

  • It's changed, but still nice. Not as bad as a lot of other places, Houston, Conroe, Baytown.

  • i live in humble lol nice music

  • Too bad humble decided to embrace government housing it really could of been a nice place to live but now its way tooooo dark

  • They did not embrace government housing, I can assure you. It was forced on them like they force on every community. It is a lot less in Humble than say, Houston.

  • Was born and raised in Humble back in the 1970's and 80's. Enjoyed the video and some good memories of the town. Sorry to hear Humble finally got consumed by Houston. I hope it still has some of it's charm left.

  • There is plenty of charm left. Lot of old timers are moving back.

  • I have lived in Humble area since 1979. It has grown a lot and traffic is getting bad! But is has some of a small town charm left. I enjoyed the music in this video!

  • Exactly.

  • I was born and raised in Humble, and I do agree with the third comment, and when I grew up, it was a small town, but now? It's a hellhole! I just wish it didn't have to grow!

  • I would not call it a hellhole. There are a lot worse places. Conroe, Houston, Baytown.

  • nice video.

  • It's still a nice place. I wouldn't call it a hellhole.

  • nice video. i remember when humble was a small town not a hell hole like it is today.

  • You must be thinking of Houston.

The only part of Humble that could be considered a hell hole would be the area around the Township apartments, across from the police department. That place is a crime-ridden barrio now.

  • I agree.
