I'm a born again Christian; I believe in the holy bible as the only and final authority. God has put it on my heart to reach out to people and I like to take advantage of the opportunities that I am given. Jesus is the Answer! The Bible says, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened. If your not saved, God wants you to be. God Bless! We never know when it's too late. Jesus is the way, the only way to God. God Bless You & Yours!

Thanks for responding!!! This was so motivating and inspiring to watch. I came out of the 'atheist' closet about two years ago and feel so much more liberated. I would definitely love to share my story and experiences with you.
OMG The Bible, The Talmud, the Koran... it doesn't matter.. they are all BULLSHIT!!! None of them are true or real. They are all written by men who were all out to prove that "My god is bettar than yours!" It's all horse CRAP!!! Give it a fucking rest!
@DevaWolfe "(blasphemy deleted) The Bible, The Talmud, the Koran... it doesn't matter.. they are all (expletive deleted) None of them are true or real." Sorry but the hard evidence totally blows your contention completely out of the water in the case of the Bible. Then Bible has been demonstrated to be correct when tested historically, scientifically, archaeologically, prophetically, and through faithful reproduction of its manuscripts. Your accusation is completely baseless.
@daswann14 Also, Don't Atheist Know that if there were no God, that would mean, You Atheist, by definition would not seem to exist? That's one more reason why, Without God, one is Spiritually non-existent. We are spiritual being as you know. 3 bodies, Flesh Soul Spirit. We communicate with God in Spirit. Born again means Spiritual birth. Which allows you to have communion with the Holy spirit, your inner witness, which will guide you through the ups and downs in this temporary world.
@faithw02 Atheists do not believe in a God. They do not claim knowledge of any kind, and certainly not that they know there is no God. "We are spiritual being as you know." I know no such thing, as I told you I think spiritual is an empty meaningless term. Friends, family, will power, etc are what guide you through the ups and downs of this world; not some imaginary being.
@daswann14 "Then by definition you are a fraud. You are no atheist. You don't even know if there's no God. What is an Atheist?
An atheist is a person who does not believe that any gods exist." Richard Carrerr 1996.
"Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities" Wikipedia ATHEISM
Bruh do you even know who you are? I'm over here telling you who an atheist is. Now thats ownage. Now that you've been owned, Show me the proof that God does not Exist.
@faithw02 "An atheist is a person who does not believe that any gods exist." Richard Carrerr 1996" Yes they don't believe any Gods exist, if they believed that a god or gods exist then they by definition couldn't be atheist. Atheists do not claim to know anything about God, and you asserting differently doesn't change that fact. I happen to believe there aren't any gods, and know 100% that a good deal of them like yours (Yahweh) don't exist. But that is just me not all atheists.
@faithw02 ""Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities" Yes the rejection as opposed to the acceptance of belief in existence of deities. Nowhere in there does it say anything about knowledge or make a knowledge claim. "Bruh do you even know who you are? I'm over here telling you who an atheist is. Now thats ownage. Now that you've been owned, Show me the proof that God does not Exist." Beyond laughable. You made yourself look ignorant, that's not pownage.
@faithw02 You clearly don't know what atheist means, nor are you interested in finding out. You're only concerned with your ignorant pre-suppositions that serve as propaganda/ talking points for religion so as to discount people who actually think for themselves.
Pretty sad to rely on only friends family and will power to guide you thru the ups and down, Whereas God almighty who loves you and has a perfect plan to guide you thru the rigors of this world. Ofcourse you wouldn't know we're spiritual beings, BECAUSE you are spiritually DEAD. See why I told you Christians are not sent to convince anyone, God chooses who he wants to bring to him. It's his creation, he can trash the person(s) if he feels. Frankenstein. You can choose to live in ignorance.
@faithw02 "Pretty sad to rely on only friends family and will power to guide you thru the ups and down" No that statement is sad. I asked you to define spiritual multiple times but you just keep on ahead using that word like it has a real meaning. I told you it is meaningless unless defined and asked you what you mean by it. "It's his creation, he can trash the person(s) if he feels" Again is this a being deserving of worship? Sound like a prick to me.
@daswann14 See man, I've seen blind see, and dead being raised from the slab in the morgue. I've seen cripple walk, and cancer completely cured after the same doctor diagnosed and confirmed. I've seen these things in my local small but growing church. I've seen people go from losing a job, feeling a bit depressed one day, to praying to God earnestly, and God using that as opportunity to drop a business idea and perfectly line the cosmos for the idea to come to fruition. There's God bruh
@faithw02 "See man, I've seen blind see, and dead being raised from the slab in the morgue. I've seen cripple walk, and cancer completely cured after the same doctor diagnosed and confirmed" So you've seen a zombie rise? You're kidding right? Visual impairments can come and go, as can cancer. The rest of your claim is perfectly mundane actually. But you saw a dead man rise at the morgue? LOL, that's a new one. Why was this amazing occurrence undocumented? Should be front page news.
@daswann14 See bruh, I guess what i'm trying to say is, The fact that I can't prove that God exist, doesn't mean he doesn't exist. Just like You can't prove that God does not exist does not mean he exist, right? So there's still a chance that God does exist beyond what you or I could prove. And if that chance is still out there, Shouldn't most Atheist watch how they have insulted God and degraded him through out the years, I mean he could be Creator, God Almighty, Judge of all the earth?
@faithw02 "See bruh, I guess what i'm trying to say is, The fact that I can't prove that God exist, doesn't mean he doesn't exist." True. It is the propositions of God contained in the Bible, Torah, Quran, etc. that proves that those specific Gods do not exist. The Bible is a book of demonstrably false propositions, and of well understood human origin. An omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent God is also logically impossible. So yes I can prove your God doesn't exist.
@faithw02 "And if that chance is still out there, Shouldn't most Atheist watch how they have insulted God and degraded him through out the years, I mean he could be Creator, God Almighty, Judge of all the earth? " This is called Pascals wager, and is one of the most ridiculous and absurd arguments in all of history. Just because you can't see Bruno the talking elephant doesn't mean he doesn't exist, and your salvation depends on it so believe just in case. RIDICULOUS.
See Bruh, I'll be the 1st to tell you that i'm not very versed in the area of higher or critical thinking. That's not my area. I'm a CPA and that's as far as my higher critical thinking goes lol. I applaud you though, because you along with most other atheist are some very smart people. But I'm telling you are smart, regarding earthly things, when there could be a whole spiritual world out there that you know zero about. So, to me, you atheist are not very smart overall.
@faithw02 I appreciate everything you are saying (can you do my taxes? lol) really. I suppose the question to ask is why do you believe there is a spiritual world at all? Why do you think there is something that should have that label? Spiritual to me is a meaningless term unless defined by the user.
Christians are not called to convince anyone of the Good news of Christ. We are called to spread the Goodnews, that the lord loves everyone and came to die for our sins, so that we can part take in a sweet eternity, instead of the burning fire of torture. We are not God to prove anything to you Atheist. Our religion is based on Faith, and having child like faith. Goodluck with everything tho guys.
@faithw02 Well that is pretty sad, enjoy your childlike naivety. Obviously you've never seen 1 Peter 3:15 or the other many verses that do call for you to be able to defend your faith, perhaps you should re-read the book of torture, murder, and nonsense that you call the Bible.
@daswann14 You obviously don't understand 1 peter 3:15 bruh, because if you did, it says, Worship Christ as Lord and Savior", which I do. "...And if someone asks about your christian hope, be ready to EXPLAIN it" Not convince them. Explain to them. Which I've done. My job is not to convince you man, You have good solid points about your Atheist position. It's your job to be very knowledgeable about what goes on in this world, my conviction lies in a better place after we all leave here.
@daswann14 Bruh, it's not my job to proof anything in the confines of this world to you, God is the one that does the convincing. He controls the heart of men. He can decide which unbeliever he wants to save and which one he wants to trash. Jesus said in John 6:44 "No one comes to Jesus, unless God draws them to him.." See the onus is on God to convert you.
@faithw02 "Bruh, it's not my job to proof anything in the confines of this world to you, God is the one that does the convincing. He controls the heart of men. He can decide which unbeliever he wants to save and which one he wants to trash." I appreciate your honesty. Now please answer this honestly... Is a God like the one you just defined one deserving of worship?
@daswann14 ofcourse I believe God is deserving of worship. People who think otherwise don't understand to any extent the purpose and reason why does what he does. I'm not saying its possible to understand God in FULL, bcuz Its not like we can just dial up to heaven and ask him questions. But he left his holy spirit, with us, and it guides us through understanding God, if we seek him earnestly.
Let me tell you why christians are well regarded in heaven as oppose to old testament believers, Bcuz we worship God despite the fact that we haven't seen any of the great signs he displayed to the Israelites.. Those people saw God Part the red sea, saw Jericho walls fall, etc, yet they still questioned God and worshipped Idols. Faith less. Hebrew 11:6 Without Faith it's impossible to please God. He that comes lookn for God must believe that he is and that he reward those who seek him.."
@faithw02 The Red Sea was never parted, and there is 0 evidence the exodus ever happened. You say you guys are regarded highly in heaven because you don't see things like the red sea being parted, etc... and yet you use your own experience as necessary evidence for God (presumably you think its miraculous).
@faithw02 Like I said there is 0 evidence that the exodus ever happened. It doesn't matter how many people you name, they are in the tiny minority and have a stake in their claim. Secondly it wouldn't matter if there a much larger and more respected list, because the evidence simply isn't there. The Egyptians would have written about such a thing for sure, and they didn't. There are no extra-biblical accounts of the exodus.
@faithw02 "Type in youtube Exodus Revealed. Your evidence is right there." I watched the video and I've seen many similar specials; the naked archaeologist, exodus decoded, and other such discovery channel and TLC specials.
That is not evidence it is faith based speculation, there is no evidence and they admit this in the first couple minutes of the video; well they say 'tiny' rather than none as to not offend the people that count certain religious claims as evidence.
@daswann14 Answer these questions for me 1) Where's your fact or evidence that Atheism is Accurate? 2) Can you prove that God doesn't exist? See there's only 3 possible position one can take on this subject ie a) God exist (believer) or b) God doesn't exist (Athiest) c) I don't know if God exist or not, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't (Agnostic).. See you're an atheist, So prove to me that God doesn't exist. Tell me where that Initial Species come from which propelled the Speciation theory.
@faithw02 1. Atheism is a disbelief in God propositions it does not present facts. 2. Depends how you define God/ which God. I can prove that the God of the Bible Yahweh does not exist yes. Same with Allah, Thor, Loki, etc. There are only 2 positions either one believes or one does not (including I don't know). The burden of proof is on the person making the claim (theist). My position God does not exist is not atheism, it is anti-theism or strong atheism. Check out my vid 'square circle'.
@faithw02 "Tell me where that Initial Species come from which propelled the Speciation theory. " The initial reproducing lifeforms were simple single-celled organisms. That is all that is required for natural selection. That plus time (environmental changes included) is the explanation for all the species on Earth. Evolution is an irrefutable fact. It wasn't propelled by anything, that is a categorical error.
@daswann14 And how were these single-celled organism formed? How did they come into existence? Science takes God's creation is explain how it has evolved, but that does not show how these species came into being. Does it?
@daswann14 "God did it is a worse answer than abiogenesis"
So "God did it" is irrational, but "IT DID ITSELF" is perfectly legit? We know intelligence has the potential
to create life (and an infinite regression of intelligence coming from a prior intelligence is logically impossible. Hence, a self existent intelligence or "God"). There are no inherent properties of chemistry that would cause lifeless chemicals to self organize into a single protein (nevermind DNA or a living cell).
@CasperTheMeanieGhost So which one is ad hoc? I`m appealing to something we KNOW has the potential to create life (namely, intelligence) whereas you`re appealing to something for which there is absoluterly zero evidence (and if you did have evidence, you`d be a millionaire).
@CasperTheMeanieGhost Your assertion is ad hoc. You have no reason to appeal to intelligence as the 'creator of life' and no reason to then assert that intelligence is god. What am I appealing to that has zero evidence? Abiogenisis is supported by almost every PhD in the country the multitude of peer reviewed published papers and the data and evidence they are based on are overwhelming. Your God creation story is the one that has 0 and I mean 0 evidence; and tons of counter evidence.
@daswann14 I just gave you evidence, but you`re too dumb to catch it.
Abiogenesis has *ZERO* evidence. In fact, the origins of life foundation has an offer of 1 million dollars to anyone who can provide a workable theory for how life could have originated on its own.
"Abiogenesis is supported by almost every PhD in the country"
If you think its because of "evidence", than you`re a dummy. Aren`t you a Christ Mythicist? Nearly all historians shit on that idea, but you`re fine with that.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Abiogenesis has *ZERO* evidence" This is laughably stupid. "Abiogenesis is supported by almost every PhD in the country" If you think its because of "evidence", than you`re a dummy."
I know it is hard for religious people to understand but I do not defer unto authority their word is not gospel. It is the evidence they examine that leads them to believe which is the reason I believe it, not because they said so.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Aren`t you a Christ Mythicist? Nearly all historians shit on that idea, but you`re fine with that." Yes. To me the historicity of Jesus is not even a question if you mean a being who was born of a virgin, walked on water, healed people, was crucified, resurrected, etc. That certainly never happened and there is 0 evidence to support it. If you're asking if there was a man(someone crucified maybe on who these myths were based it is possible. But I see no reason to think so
@daswann14 I only bring up the fact that nearly all historians affirm the historicity of Christ because you appealed to the claim that nearly every PhD supports abiogenesis and I mistakenly thought you were a Christ Mythicist.
Of course, nearly all those PhD`s you`re appealing to will tell you flat out that we have no workable theory for *how* lifeless chemicals could self organize (or create itself) into a living cell.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost I am a christ mythicist. I do not believe he existed nor even that he was based on a person, though I accept I'm in the minority and deviate from scholars here. However there reasons for believing he existed are crappy IMO, and the fact that no one bothered to write about God on earth (until 70 years after he died) suggests to me that there was no such person.
LMFAO! You have the nerve to appeal to what the majority of scientists *supposedly* claim regarding abiogenesis while at the same time rejecting what nearly all historians hold regarding the historicity of Jesus??? Now thats funny.
Btw, can you point me to a single mythical figure of ancient history that was said to have a brother?
Against God??? You just put your foot in your mouth. Why would someone who simply "lacks a belief" in God appeal to any kind of supposed counter evidence against God? The mere fact that you would even mention that proves you actually BELIEVE there is no God. You only present evidence against a given entity if you actually believe that entity doesn`t exist.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost I personally don't simply lack the belief in God(s), that is the definition of atheism. I believe there are no God or God(s) (which is not something I try to convince people of) and I know that certain Gods; Yahweh, Allah, Thor, Zues, Amon-Ra, etc. do not exist as a matter of fact and logic(and I do try to convince people of this). I obviously don't believe there is a God; it's outright absurd of you to act like you caught me in some sort of hypocrisy.
@daswann14 It would be hypocritical of you to claim you lack a belief in God and then turn around and present arguments AGAINST God. Since you say you have arguments AGAINST God, then I don`t charge you with hypocrisy in this particular case.
Can you PM me with your favorite argument against God. I really like the argument from hiddenness. Its so much fun refuting that one (easier than taking candy from a baby). In fact, its literaly IMPOSSIBLE to even serve as an argument against God.
My favorite arguement against god is in a video. Check your god is square circle, and perfect god. The rest of my vids touch on this a bit; the bible is a book of woven together and dependent propositions. Because of the way they are constructed if there are contradictions or certain falsehoods make the enitre bible, quran, vedas, etc. moot. Religion is also obviously man made. Those are 2 of my 3 things that I think best support that there is no God.
@daswann14 "Certain falsehoods make the entire bible; moot"
No it doesn`t. It would only refute the doctrine of infallibility (if that). I don`t even need the bible to prove to you that the biblical God exists. I can prove to you that the biblical God exists by using the Talmud alone (and I`m not even a Jew).
@daswann14 "Abiogenesis is supported by almost every PhD in the country"
Which is why if you ask nearly ANY professional scientist how life could have originated from lifeless chemicals, you get something to the effect of "who the fuck knows". Of course, thats your golden ticket. Thats where you come in and say "see, we don`t know. Therefore, it dun did itself". I`m appealing to something we KNOW has the potential to form life from lifeless matter (intelligence).
@CasperTheMeanieGhost If you push anyone enough on anything eventually they will say I don't know. And they don't have no fucking idea on the subject as a whole, be honest buttlicker. They know quite a bit. "I`m appealing to something we KNOW has the potential to form life from lifeless matter (intelligence)" We don't know this you fucking idiot. And repeating it does not change that. By the way intelligence is something that arose out of evolution. Your whole statement literally makes no sense.
@daswann14 "If you push anyone enough on anything eventually they will say I don`t know"
LMAO ... what a cop out. Why would nearly all the leading scientists who study the origins of life say WE DON`T KNOW HOW LIFE COULD HAVE ORIGINATED when some random YouTube kid (you) says there is *overwhelming evidence* that abiogenesis happened? Didn`t they get the memo?
Pull your head out of your ass kid. Seriously. We OBSERVE intelligent beings creating complex codes all the time.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "LMAO ... what a cop out. Why would nearly all the leading scientists who study the origins of life say WE DON`T KNOW HOW LIFE COULD HAVE ORIGINATED" They don't say that. Your dumb dishonest ass just makes this up. People in the field dont just throw up there hand and say "uhuhuh." Abiogenisis is still developing, they don't know everything and I know that makes theists like you cum in their pants 'OMG they said I dont know, I win, God did it' Childish.
Ugh ... Yes. They do. Do you need me to pull out a shitload of quotes from leading scientists who study the origin of life?
I`m not saying I don`t know. I *DO* know. I *KNOW* that intelligence has the potential to create life from lifeless chemicals. *YOU* are the one who doesn`t know! You don`t know how lifeless chemicals could behave in an imaginary unobserved (and ad hoc) way to create life. Therefore, it did. Thats literally your argument.
@daswann14 "The data and evidence they are based on are overwhelming"
Really? So then why does the origins of life foundation (a secular group btw) STILL have its 1 million dollar offer for anyone who can produce a workable theory for how lifeless chemicals could have produced life? Why haven`t you presented this "overwhelming evidence" to them?
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Really? So then why does the origins of life foundation (a secular group btw) STILL have its 1 million dollar offer for anyone who can produce a workable theory for how lifeless chemicals could have produced life? Why haven`t you presented this "overwhelming evidence" to them?" I can think of many reasons but the fact they clearly have a slant and don't accept evolution. This prize 'trick' is thousands of years old. Fucking bitch ass clown.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost On the surface they are more sophisticated by Hovind but if you look at how they word things and the links they give to recommended readings it's pretty obvious.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost It (I'm assuming you mean abiogenisis) didn't do anything by itself. It is not a thing it is a concept that describes the evidence we have about how the first reproducing lifeforms came to be organized. "We know intelligence has the potential to create life" No we don't, not in the ex-nihlo way that you are asserting. You are asserting that God bampfed stuff and life into existence. I am asserting that stuff always existed; we would not exist in a 'void' universe.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "It didn`t do anything by itself" Of course it did (per your scenario). You`re arguing that lifeless chemicals self organized by itself (which is completely ad hoc). Stop putting intentionality behind everything! There is no entity or concept to describe the it you're using. Stuff exists. To me the most reasonable conclusion given the evidence is that stuff (the universe) always existed. And since you just denied ex-nihlo creation you must believe it too.
Everything??? No, not "everything". We`re talking about the origin of life. Again, we KNOW intelligence has the potential to create life from lifeless chemicals. You can stick your head in your ass and play dumb but it is what it is.
I never denied creation ex nihilo you unrestrained dingbat. The origin of life has NOTHING to do with the origin of the universe.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "I never denied creation ex nihilo you unrestrained dingbat. The origin of life has NOTHING to do with the origin of the universe." For you they do, they are both gods creation.
@daswann14 So what? Whether or not the universe had a beginning (which it most certainly did) is completely irrelevent to whether or not life could have originated without an intelligence. Two separate arguments entirely.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "So what? Whether or not the universe had a beginning (which it most certainly did) is completely irrelevent to whether or not life could have originated without an intelligence. Two separate arguments entirely." I agree. Evolution and abiogenisis are separate deals. But I assume that you believe God created the universe specifically to do his thing with humans on earth so I still think for you theyre tied. And you still have no reason to appeal to intelligence or creation
@daswann14 "I agree. Evolution and abiogenesis are separate deals"
Wow. You done fucked up again playa. Not only does abiogenesis have nothing to do with the origin of the universe, evolution has nothing to do with the origin of the universe (which you just implied by equivocating the two).
@daswann14 See I'm Liberian, I was in the midst of a 14year civil war, and lost tons of family members in circumstances where I shouldn't be here today blogging with you. Bullets flying for 6months str8, yet bcuz of the Lord almighty, I was able to move by foot over 2000 miles from my crib to the next country, Ivory Coast for refuge, by Foot. Prayer & God got me through, no other way. This was 1998. Today I'm a CPA, a beautiful wife, two kids.. So please don't tell me God does not exist.
@faithw02 "See I'm Liberian, I was in the midst of a 14year civil war, and lost tons of family members in circumstances where I shouldn't be here today blogging with you. Bullets flying for 6months str8, yet bcuz of the Lord almighty, I was able to move by foot over 2000 miles from my crib to the next country, Ivory Coast for refuge, by Foot. Prayer & God got me through, no other way." Uhh, you got yourself through it and deserve mad props. So did God not care about your dead relatives?
@daswann14 My dead relatives, it was their time to go. Why must you think when someone dies it must mean that God didn't care about them.? My relatives are happy in heaven. Thanks for asking. Heaven is a far better place than your earth. If you ever saw a glimpse of Heaven today, You would be happy that God took you out of this living-day-hell...but ofcourse that's a big IF as we know. God saved me bcuz he still has a purpose for me on this planet. Only an atheist looks at death as "Bad"
@faithw02 "My dead relatives, it was their time to go. Why must you think when someone dies it must mean that God didn't care about them.?" Wow, that is callous to say the least. You used the fact that you were alive through all the war in your country as evidence that God was watching over you, you are the one who suggested such a thing. I don't believe in God. I'm sorry that christians can't deal with death or reality which is why you make up heaven to feel better, it doesn't exist.
@faithw02 "You would be happy that God took you out of this living-day-hell" No, I love life and I wish theists did too. "Only an atheist looks at death as "Bad" Only an atheist says life is awesome.
Huh? Is that why atheists have the highest suicide rates? If life is so "awesome" for atheists, then why do they keep jumping off bridges? At least Muslim terrorists are blowing themselves up to inflict pain on a perceived enemy. Atheists kill themselves because their social lives suck. In fact, I believe not having a social life is a pretty good catalyst for becoming an atheist in the first place. All the atheists I know are str8 up nerds.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Is that why atheists have the highest suicide rates?" Please cite this, because every study I've seen has mormons, gays, and asians (all US stats) respectively with the highest suicide rates; with atheists well below the national average. Most atheists whose social lives suck owe it completely to the religious family members and friends who torment them.
@daswann14 Look up the nations with the highest suicide rates.
Gays and Asians? We`re not talking about ethnicity or sexual orientation (although atheists are MUCH more likely to be and support the homosexual lifestyle). We`re talking about atheist versus theist (or religious if you will). ALL studies show that less religious (which includes atheists) people are more prone to depression and suicide. So much for life being "awesome" for atheists.
"There are only 2 positions either one believes or one does not (including I don't know). The burden of proof is on the person making the claim (theist)."
1) WRONG.. There are 3 positions on this issue. The agnostic position, maybe he exist, or not
2)By saying I don't believe in God existence is saying God is not in existence. Simply english. Now where's you absolute proof that God is not in existence. Burden of proof lol...Atheist picks a position, the 1 that says God doesn't exist.
@faithw02 You are wrong. Agnostic is not a middle ground between atheism and theism. I explained this to you. If you say I don't know which agnostics do it says nothing about belief. You can be an agnostic theist (wierd and rare) or an agnostic atheist (most i agnostics). I just made a deity up in my head. You are completely agnostic about this deity (you definitely don't know I just made it up) nor could you possibly believe. Agnostic theism.
@daswann14 "Agnostic is not a middle ground between atheism and theism"
Really? Then how do you explain the fact that Thomas Huxley COINED the word "agnostic" in order to distinguish between people who believe there is no God and people who are undecided? I`m supposed to accept *your* version of what agnosticism entails over the man who coined the fucking word?
Btw, you realize that all standard philosophical dictionaries define atheism as a positive rejection of theism, right?
@CasperTheMeanieGhost 1. I really could give two shits what Thomas Huxley said. He could easily be wrong, I do not follow anyone or anything as gospel which is a difference in the frameworks in our brains. 2. He coined the word because it does describe something; it describes ones position in regards to knowability. An agnostic atheist is different than a strong atheist but both answer the God belief question the same. Agnostic answers the question of know-ability a(theism) is about belief.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Btw, you realize that all standard philosophical dictionaries define atheism as a positive rejection of theism, right?" Ummm.... as a philosophy graduate of the number one philosophy program in the country I can assure you they do not. Please update your reading material from the 19th century. I promise it will make you less ignorant.
@faithw02 "2)By saying I don't believe in God existence is saying God is not in existence. Simply english. Now where's you absolute proof that God is not in existence. Burden of proof lol...Atheist picks a position, the 1 that says God doesn't exist. " Certainly not. I'm sorry but you're simply wrong here yet you keep plugging your ears and insisting you're right. I don't believe any claims about aliens, but that does not mean I assert that they do not exist. YOU ARE WRONG.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. You atheist don't fear God, so you knowledge is based on Canal things...In my opinion you are just empty brass running your mouths, Nothing of substance is coming out. May your soul rest in peace. You want prove that God exist, look at the countless miraculous stories shared by many around the world. Look at all the species of animals, tell me big bang evolution designed that.
@faithw02 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" Man you are sad. "You want prove that God exist, look at the countless miraculous stories shared by many around the world" You mean the many contradictory stories that have had people killing each other for thousands of years? Not to mention to self-contradictory nature of the texts themselves. "Look at all the species of animals, tell me big bang evolution designed that" Evolution is the cause of speciation yes. It was not designed.
@daswann14 "Not to mention to self-contradictory nature of the texts themselves" how's the Text contradictory, what's your basis for this argument? You don't understand or discern biblical things, so it seems like foolishness to you,..Have you really asked knowledgeable christians about some of these so-called contradictions, and were they unable to explain things to you? Chances are you didn't seek to find God, therefore you wouldn't know him.
@faithw02 I understand the Bible better than most, and the Bible has many dozens if not hundreds of contradictions and many hundreds of other damning fallacies (some of which make the existence of the God proposed within those same texts impossible). I would put my biblical knowledge up against 95% of Christians at least, and I've spoken to very devout Christians yes. I was a member of the CS Lewis society at RU and all they is study God.
@faithw02 "Chances are you didn't seek to find God, therefore you wouldn't know him" This is a very bad argument in many ways, but #1: I've met many people that I didn't seek, and I've engaged perfect strangers thus they met me, and some of us have long lasting relationships and know each other very well. What kind of arrogant being needs people to seek them just for the privilege of meeting/ knowing them? And I have asked "God please show yourself now?" and he didn't. Just did it again. Nada.
@daswann14....ay bro checkout the black atheist of atlanta..i ususally dont call talkshows but these morons are gonna have to talk to me on there next show....picture pseudo-mock revolutionary versions of fred phelps
@ganttkc Exactly. If he was supposedly fulfilling the prophecy wouldn't contemporary followers have found it important enough to record. It's so absurd.
The audio is really low, I don't know how to fix it but maybe someone out there does? if you do contact the uploader and help them fix it or maybe fix it yourself and mirror it?
Whether it's black, white, latin, asian, middle eastern, etc. atheist, at the end of the day.....we're all simply atheists. Do we really need to be labeled, and divided into racial clubs......(i.e......black atheists, white atheists, asian atheists, etc.)?
@GMunny5 We are what we are. For many reasons blacks are excluded from the atheist movement (not maliciously in this case)... just like they were from the feminist movement, and mostly are from the queer movements. And yes we face different issues because of our different backgrounds. Our lived experiences and application of theory and philosophy to our lives are different. And it is also an issue that varies by class (upper, middle, etc.). Why should we expect atheists to be homogeneous?
@daswann14 "Why should we expect atheists to be homogeneous?"
Because we all seem to be in mutual agreement, at least, as far as God(s) are concerned. Additional to that, we are all of the same species, regardless of skin pigment. Ultimately, we are of the same nature.
All I'm saying is, if I were to open a club for atheists....it would be a club for "atheists". Not black atheist, white atheist, asian atheist, etc. Just Atheists.
Surely, those (race) types of clubs would only promote classism.
@GMunny5 I don't understand what you mean by classism? Certainly not the normal definition. You obviously don't understand... I just gave you many reasons why different perspectives are important and you simply ignored it.
@daswann14 "many reasons why different perspectives are important and you simply ignored it"
Different perspectives of what exactly? Atheism?
Atheism merely relates to a single position, on a single claim; nothing more. That's what it is. Why would we need different perspectives to come to the conclusion of no God(s)? There is no evidence. That is all.
Or do you mean different perspectives of something else?
@GMunny5 its not a 'black thing' at all, yes 'black' is in the title of the group... and I hope other races are not deterred from commenting/attending or just simply being involved in this movement...
daswann14, I promise im gonna make it to a meeting(actually i cant wait to get to one), lol... i coach football on the weekends tho
@GMunny5 it's needed. i hate to sound bigoted, but I think black folks seem overly nutty abut religion. I don't think any celebrity honky would have got the pass Steve Harvey got by the liberal set either...
@GMunny5 Seeing how the Black community lies so heavily on religion as a central and integral part of our newly created cultural fabric post-slavery and colonialism (past and present), many Atheists within our community are afraid to come out because we are so severely ostracised as if by our very existence we are betraying them and all that we have been through. There is this idea that all of our successes and triumphs, our support, our very morals come from a god...
@GMunny5 ...They lie so heavily on that as a central part of life that they will quickly put you down or disown you if you are open about it. It's a different experience. All we're doing is shining a beacon of light to other Black Atheists in the closet that it's okay to come out!
I would love to participate in dialogues such as this with other Black Atheists. I know some, but good luck getting them all together in one spot in any number. I do know people around me who are open-minded, but they still hold on to the concept of a god in some regard. I think I'll make another video soon to address this. It's about time.
@rleeermy Nice. I love deep statements like that too. I also feel that if I was a theist I would be deluded and purposefully ignorant of many things which would impact my happiness and ultimately life satisfaction. Coming out of the dark ages so to speak feels wonderful when a world of seemingly untenable things and ideas becomes possible. But theists also say similar things aka 'Jesus saved my life.'
@daswann14 Exactly. Well said. I know 'saved my life' is a bit dramatic but his words have had a profound effect on me. It's like reading his books and watching his videos have done so much to enlighten my view of things.
I loved the part about prayer. I always do the same thing - checking people out and "catching" the people with their eyes open. It made me laugh. Good stuff guys. Nice to see you see through it all too, even with the heavy influence of a black community. Much respect.
Just get a couple mics next time and place them on either end of the table, or perhaps a more casual couch-setting, where you guys can chill and make it easier to film everyone with two cameras.
A sharper angle from the side or behind can line everyone up very well in a shot, with the second cam maybe being an artistic back-of-the-head overview shot of the table/couch setting.
Overall, this was an excellent discussion. I really enjoyed it and would like to see more of our people engage in logical discussion in regards to religion, poltiricks, homophobia, sexism & racism
Black people are always complaining about the issues we face in our community as whole but no one wants to look at the root of the problem; these RELIGIONS we cling onto so defensively which teach us to be submissive and passive while we bicker with each other over trivial differences & biblical lies.
@keshawn888 We're going to do another one soon. I couldn't agree more; quite a few of our issues are tied directly to our absurdly high levels of religiosity.
I'm listening to the whole discussion now. Thank you for sharing this. I just wish the sound quality was a bit better as "Sabohaque" mentioned- Thats why I'm searching for the best converter that will give me the best results before I upload the Afrikan LGBT conference on my page.
At least, I CAN hear what these brothers are saying though.
Make a Facebook fan page (if you don't already have one) and upload your videos there too, you may get more traffic. This is very original and inspiring. (audio is low btw)
The sound is horrible, but Christopher hicthens?? Really?? Mostly all hicthens arguments (or rants) have been crush by william lane criag, the same with dawkins! So Christians are not critical thinkers?? How did they come to that conclusion? If I was sitting at this table, as a believer, I will leave as a believer. All they are doing is making fun of God and Christians with no arguments.

Which allows you to have communion with the Holy spirit, your inner witness, which will guide you through the ups and downs in this temporary world.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 Atheists do not believe in a God. They do not claim knowledge of any kind, and certainly not that they know there is no God. "We are spiritual being as you know." I know no such thing, as I told you I think spiritual is an empty meaningless term. Friends, family, will power, etc are what guide you through the ups and downs of this world; not some imaginary being.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "Then by definition you are a fraud. You are no atheist. You don't even know if there's no God. What is an Atheist?
An atheist is a person who does not believe that any gods exist." Richard Carrerr 1996.
"Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities" Wikipedia ATHEISM
Bruh do you even know who you are? I'm over here telling you who an atheist is. Now thats ownage. Now that you've been owned, Show me the proof that God does not Exist.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 "An atheist is a person who does not believe that any gods exist." Richard Carrerr 1996" Yes they don't believe any Gods exist, if they believed that a god or gods exist then they by definition couldn't be atheist. Atheists do not claim to know anything about God, and you asserting differently doesn't change that fact. I happen to believe there aren't any gods, and know 100% that a good deal of them like yours (Yahweh) don't exist. But that is just me not all atheists.
daswann14 6 months ago
@faithw02 ""Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities" Yes the rejection as opposed to the acceptance of belief in existence of deities. Nowhere in there does it say anything about knowledge or make a knowledge claim. "Bruh do you even know who you are? I'm over here telling you who an atheist is. Now thats ownage. Now that you've been owned, Show me the proof that God does not Exist." Beyond laughable. You made yourself look ignorant, that's not pownage.
daswann14 6 months ago

You can choose to live in ignorance.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 "Pretty sad to rely on only friends family and will power to guide you thru the ups and down" No that statement is sad. I asked you to define spiritual multiple times but you just keep on ahead using that word like it has a real meaning. I told you it is meaningless unless defined and asked you what you mean by it. "It's his creation, he can trash the person(s) if he feels" Again is this a being deserving of worship? Sound like a prick to me.

And if that chance is still out there, Shouldn't most Atheist watch how they have insulted God and degraded him through out the years, I mean he could be Creator, God Almighty, Judge of all the earth?
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 "See bruh, I guess what i'm trying to say is, The fact that I can't prove that God exist, doesn't mean he doesn't exist." True. It is the propositions of God contained in the Bible, Torah, Quran, etc. that proves that those specific Gods do not exist. The Bible is a book of demonstrably false propositions, and of well understood human origin. An omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent God is also logically impossible. So yes I can prove your God doesn't exist.
daswann14 6 months ago
@faithw02 "And if that chance is still out there, Shouldn't most Atheist watch how they have insulted God and degraded him through out the years, I mean he could be Creator, God Almighty, Judge of all the earth? " This is called Pascals wager, and is one of the most ridiculous and absurd arguments in all of history. faithw02 6 months ago

Goodluck with everything tho guys.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 Well that is pretty sad, enjoy your childlike naivety. Obviously you've never seen 1 Peter 3:15 or the other many verses that do call for you to be able to defend your faith, perhaps you should re-read the book of torture, murder, and nonsense that you call the Bible.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 You obviously don't understand 1 peter 3:15 bruh, because if you did, it says, Worship Christ as Lord and Savior", which I do. "...And if someone asks about your christian hope, be ready to EXPLAIN it" Not convince them. Explain to them. Which I've done. My job is not to convince you man, You have good solid points about your Atheist position. It's your job to be very knowledgeable about what goes on in this world, my conviction lies in a better place after we all leave here.
faithw02 6 months ago
@daswann14 Bruh, it's not my job to proof anything in the confines of this world to you, God is the one that does the convincing. He controls the heart of men. He can decide which unbeliever he wants to save and which one he wants to trash. Jesus said in John 6:44 "No one comes to Jesus, unless God draws them to him.." See the onus is on God to convert you.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 "Bruh, it's not my job to proof anything in the confines of this world to you, God is the one that does the convincing. He controls the heart of men. He can decide which unbeliever he wants to save and which one he wants to trash." I appreciate your honesty. Now please answer this honestly... Is a God like the one you just defined one deserving of worship?
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 ofcourse I believe God is deserving of worship. People who think otherwise don't understand to any extent the purpose and reason why does what he does. I'm not saying its possible to understand God in FULL, bcuz Its not like we can just dial up to heaven and ask him questions. But he left his holy spirit, with us, and it guides us through understanding God, if we seek him earnestly.
faithw02 6 months ago
Let me tell you why christians are well regarded in heaven as oppose to old testament believers, Bcuz we worship God despite the fact that we haven't seen any of the great signs he displayed to the Israelites.. Those people saw God Part the red sea, saw Jericho walls fall, etc, yet they still questioned God and worshipped Idols. Faith less. Hebrew 11:6 Without Faith it's impossible to please God. He that comes lookn for God must believe that he is and that he reward those who seek him.."
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 The Red Sea was never parted, and there is 0 evidence the exodus ever happened. You say you guys are regarded highly in heaven because you don't see things like the red sea being parted, etc... and yet you use your own experience as necessary evidence for God (presumably you think its miraculous).
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "The red sea was never parted, ..0 evidence that exodus happened" Says who? You?.
WRONG.
There are a total of 7 highly respectable academic researchers who have contributed to the exodus case. They are as follows:
Dr. Lennart Moller Medical Research Scientist,
Dr. Manfred Bietak Egyptologist, Professor, University of Vienna
Professor Ken Kitchen
Egyptologist, Emeritus Professor, University of Liverpool, etc
Type in youtube Exodus Revealed. Your evidence is right there.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 Like I said there is 0 evidence that the exodus ever happened. It doesn't matter how many people you name, they are in the tiny minority and have a stake in their claim. Secondly it wouldn't matter if there a much larger and more respected list, because the evidence simply isn't there. The Egyptians would have written about such a thing for sure, and they didn't. There are no extra-biblical accounts of the exodus.
daswann14 6 months ago
@faithw02 "Type in youtube Exodus Revealed. Your evidence is right there." I watched the video and I've seen many similar specials; the naked archaeologist, exodus decoded, and other such discovery channel and TLC specials.
That is not evidence it is faith based speculation, there is no evidence and they admit this in the first couple minutes of the video; well they say 'tiny' rather than none as to not offend the people that count certain religious claims as evidence.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 Answer these questions for me 1) Where's your fact or evidence that Atheism is Accurate? 2) Can you prove that God doesn't exist? See there's only 3 possible position one can take on this subject ie a) God exist (believer) or b) God doesn't exist (Athiest) c) I don't know if God exist or not, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't (Agnostic).. See you're an atheist, So prove to me that God doesn't exist. Tell me where that Initial Species come from which propelled the Speciation theory.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 1. Atheism is a disbelief in God propositions it does not present facts. 2. Depends how you define God/ which God. I can prove that the God of the Bible Yahweh does not exist yes. Same with Allah, Thor, Loki, etc. There are only 2 positions either one believes or one does not (including I don't know). The burden of proof is on the person making the claim (theist). My position God does not exist is not atheism, it is anti-theism or strong atheism. Check out my vid 'square circle'.
daswann14 6 months ago
@faithw02 "Tell me where that Initial Species come from which propelled the Speciation theory. " The initial reproducing lifeforms were simple single-celled organisms. That is all that is required for natural selection. That plus time (environmental changes included) is the explanation for all the species on Earth. Evolution is an irrefutable fact. It wasn't propelled by anything, that is a categorical error.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 And how were these single-celled organism formed? How did they come into existence? Science takes God's creation is explain how it has evolved, but that does not show how these species came into being. Does it?
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 God did it is a worse answer than abiogenisis.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "God did it is a worse answer than abiogenesis"
So "God did it" is irrational, but "IT DID ITSELF" is perfectly legit? We know intelligence has the potential
to create life (and an infinite regression of intelligence coming from a prior intelligence is logically impossible. Hence, a self existent intelligence or "God"). There are no inherent properties of chemistry that would cause lifeless chemicals to self organize into a single protein (nevermind DNA or a living cell).
CasperTheMeanieGhost 6 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost So which one is ad hoc? I`m appealing to something we KNOW has the potential to create life (namely, intelligence) whereas you`re appealing to something for which there is absoluterly zero evidence (and if you did have evidence, you`d be a millionaire).
CasperTheMeanieGhost 6 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost Your assertion is ad hoc. You have no reason to appeal to intelligence as the 'creator of life' and no reason to then assert that intelligence is god. What am I appealing to that has zero evidence? Abiogenisis is supported by almost every PhD in the country the multitude of peer reviewed published papers and the data and evidence they are based on are overwhelming. Your God creation story is the one that has 0 and I mean 0 evidence; and tons of counter evidence.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 I just gave you evidence, but you`re too dumb to catch it.
Abiogenesis has *ZERO* evidence. In fact, the origins of life foundation has an offer of 1 million dollars to anyone who can provide a workable theory for how life could have originated on its own.
"Abiogenesis is supported by almost every PhD in the country"
If you think its because of "evidence", than you`re a dummy. Aren`t you a Christ Mythicist? Nearly all historians shit on that idea, but you`re fine with that.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Abiogenesis has *ZERO* evidence" This is laughably stupid. "Abiogenesis is supported by almost every PhD in the country" If you think its because of "evidence", than you`re a dummy."
I know it is hard for religious people to understand but I do not defer unto authority their word is not gospel. It is the evidence they examine that leads them to believe which is the reason I believe it, not because they said so.
daswann14 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Aren`t you a Christ Mythicist? Nearly all historians shit on that idea, but you`re fine with that." Yes. To me the historicity of Jesus is not even a question if you mean a being who was born of a virgin, walked on water, healed people, was crucified, resurrected, etc. That certainly never happened and there is 0 evidence to support it. If you're asking if there was a man(someone crucified maybe on who these myths were based it is possible. But I see no reason to think so
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 I only bring up the fact that nearly all historians affirm the historicity of Christ because you appealed to the claim that nearly every PhD supports abiogenesis and I mistakenly thought you were a Christ Mythicist.
Of course, nearly all those PhD`s you`re appealing to will tell you flat out that we have no workable theory for *how* lifeless chemicals could self organize (or create itself) into a living cell.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost I am a christ mythicist. I do not believe he existed nor even that he was based on a person, though I accept I'm in the minority and deviate from scholars here. However there reasons for believing he existed are crappy IMO, and the fact that no one bothered to write about God on earth (until 70 years after he died) suggests to me that there was no such person.
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 "I am a christ mythicist"
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@daswann14 "And tons of counter evidence"
Against God??? You just put your foot in your mouth. Why would someone who simply "lacks a belief" in God appeal to any kind of supposed counter evidence against God? The mere fact that you would even mention that proves you actually BELIEVE there is no God. You only present evidence against a given entity if you actually believe that entity doesn`t exist.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost I personally don't simply lack the belief in God(s), that is the definition of atheism. I believe there are no God or God(s) (which is not something I try to convince people of) and I know that certain Gods; Yahweh, Allah, Thor, Zues, Amon-Ra, etc. do not exist as a matter of fact and logic(and I do try to convince people of this). I obviously don't believe there is a God; it's outright absurd of you to act like you caught me in some sort of hypocrisy.
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 It would be hypocritical of you to claim you lack a belief in God and then turn around and present arguments AGAINST God. Since you say you have arguments AGAINST God, then I don`t charge you with hypocrisy in this particular case.
Can you PM me with your favorite argument against God. I really like the argument from hiddenness. Its so much fun refuting that one (easier than taking candy from a baby). In fact, its literaly IMPOSSIBLE to even serve as an argument against God.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost Maybe im not sure if youre a YEC, so my bad if you arent.
daswann14 5 months ago
My favorite arguement against god is in a video. Check your god is square circle, and perfect god. The rest of my vids touch on this a bit; the bible is a book of woven together and dependent propositions. Because of the way they are constructed if there are contradictions or certain falsehoods make the enitre bible, quran, vedas, etc. moot. Religion is also obviously man made. Those are 2 of my 3 things that I think best support that there is no God.
daswann14 5 months ago

CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost If you push anyone enough on anything eventually they will say I don't know. And they don't have no fucking idea on the subject as a whole, be honest buttlicker. They know quite a bit. "I`m appealing to something we KNOW has the potential to form life from lifeless matter (intelligence)" We don't know this you fucking idiot. And repeating it does not change that. By the way intelligence is something that arose out of evolution. Your whole statement literally makes no sense.
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 "If you push anyone enough on anything eventually they will say I don`t know"
LMAO ... what a cop out. Why would nearly all the leading scientists who study the origins of life say WE DON`T KNOW HOW LIFE COULD HAVE ORIGINATED when some random YouTube kid (you) says there is *overwhelming evidence* that abiogenesis happened? Didn`t they get the memo?
Pull your head out of your ass kid. Seriously. We OBSERVE intelligent beings creating complex codes all the time.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "LMAO ... what a cop out. Why would nearly all the leading scientists who study the origins of life say WE DON`T KNOW HOW LIFE COULD HAVE ORIGINATED" They don't say that. Your dumb dishonest ass just makes this up. People in the field dont just throw up there hand and say "uhuhuh." Abiogenisis is still developing, they don't know everything and I know that makes theists like you cum in their pants 'OMG they said I dont know, I win, God did it' Childish.
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 "They don`t say that"
Ugh ... Yes.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@daswann14 "The data and evidence they are based on are overwhelming"
Really? So then why does the origins of life foundation (a secular group btw) STILL have its 1 million dollar offer for anyone who can produce a workable theory for how lifeless chemicals could have produced life? Why haven`t you presented this "overwhelming evidence" to them?
Fucking schmuck.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Really? So then why does the origins of life foundation (a secular group btw) STILL have its 1 million dollar offer for anyone who can produce a workable theory for how lifeless chemicals could have produced life? Why haven`t you presented this "overwhelming evidence" to them?" I can think of many reasons but the fact they clearly have a slant and don't accept evolution. This prize 'trick' is thousands of years old. Fucking bitch ass clown.
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 "The fact that they clearly have a slant and don`t accept evolution"
The origins of life foundation doesn`t accept evolution? I`m not talking about the Kent Hovind challenge lol. I`m talking about a secular group here.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost On the surface they are more sophisticated by Hovind but if you look at how they word things and the links they give to recommended readings it's pretty obvious.
daswann14 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost It (I'm assuming you mean abiogenisis) didn't do anything by itself. It is not a thing it is a concept that describes the evidence we have about how the first reproducing lifeforms came to be organized. "We know intelligence has the potential to create life" No we don't, not in the ex-nihlo way that you are asserting. You are asserting that God bampfed stuff and life into existence. I am asserting that stuff always existed; we would not exist in a 'void' universe.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "It didn`t do anything by itself"
Of course it did (per your scenario). You`re arguing that lifeless chemicals self organized by itself (which is completely ad hoc).
"No we don`t (know intelligence has the potential to create life)"
Of motherfucking course we do. Why wouldn`t an advanced intelligence be able to create life?
"Not in the ex-nihilo way that you are asserting"
Who said anything about ex nihilo? When I said "create life", I meant from existing material.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "It didn`t do anything by itself" Of course it did (per your scenario). You`re arguing that lifeless chemicals self organized by itself (which is completely ad hoc). Stop putting intentionality behind everything! There is no entity or concept to describe the it you're using. Stuff exists. To me the most reasonable conclusion given the evidence is that stuff (the universe) always existed. And since you just denied ex-nihlo creation you must believe it too.
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 "Stop putting intentionality behind everything"
Everything??? No, not "everything". We`re talking about the origin of life. Again, we KNOW intelligence has the potential to create life from lifeless chemicals. You can stick your head in your ass and play dumb but it is what it is.
I never denied creation ex nihilo you unrestrained dingbat. The origin of life has NOTHING to do with the origin of the universe.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "I never denied creation ex nihilo you unrestrained dingbat. The origin of life has NOTHING to do with the origin of the universe." For you they do, they are both gods creation.
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 So what? Whether or not the universe had a beginning (which it most certainly did) is completely irrelevent to whether or not life could have originated without an intelligence. Two separate arguments entirely.
CasperTheMeanieGhost 5 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "So what? Whether or not the universe had a beginning (which it most certainly did) is completely irrelevent to whether or not life could have originated without an intelligence. Two separate arguments entirely." I agree. Evolution and abiogenisis are separate deals. But I assume that you believe God created the universe specifically to do his thing with humans on earth so I still think for you theyre tied. And you still have no reason to appeal to intelligence or creation
daswann14 5 months ago
@daswann14 "I agree. Evolution and abiogenesis are separate deals"
Wow. You done fucked up again playa. Not only does abiogenesis have nothing to do with the origin of the universe, evolution has nothing to do with the origin of the universe (which you just implied by equivocating the two).

daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 My dead relatives, it was their time to go. Why must you think when someone dies it must mean that God didn't care about them.? My relatives are happy in heaven. Thanks for asking. Heaven is a far better place than your earth. If you ever saw a glimpse of Heaven today, You would be happy that God took you out of this living-day-hell...but ofcourse that's a big IF as we know. God saved me bcuz he still has a purpose for me on this planet. Only an atheist looks at death as "Bad"
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 "My dead relatives, it was their time to go. Why must you think when someone dies it must mean that God didn't care about them.?" Wow, that is callous to say the least. You used the fact that you were alive through all the war in your country as evidence that God was watching over you, you are the one who suggested such a thing. I don't believe in God. I'm sorry that christians can't deal with death or reality which is why you make up heaven to feel better, it doesn't exist.
daswann14 6 months ago
@faithw02 "You would be happy that God took you out of this living-day-hell" No, I love life and I wish theists did too. "Only an atheist looks at death as "Bad" Only an atheist says life is awesome.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "Only an atheist says life is awesome"
CasperTheMeanieGhost 6 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Is that why atheists have the highest suicide rates?" Please cite this, because every study I've seen has mormons, gays, and asians (all US stats) respectively with the highest suicide rates; with atheists well below the national average. Most atheists whose social lives suck owe it completely to the religious family members and friends who torment them.
daswann14 6 months ago

Burden of proof lol...Atheist picks a position, the 1 that says God doesn't exist.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 You are wrong. Agnostic is not a middle ground between atheism and theism. I explained this to you. If you say I don't know which agnostics do it says nothing about belief. You can be an agnostic theist (wierd and rare) or an agnostic atheist (most i agnostics). I just made a deity up in my head. You are completely agnostic about this deity (you definitely don't know I just made it up) nor could you possibly believe. Agnostic theism.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "Agnostic is not a middle ground between atheism and theism"
Really? Then how do you explain the fact that Thomas Huxley COINED the word "agnostic" in order to distinguish between people who believe there is no God and people who are undecided? I`m supposed to accept *your* version of what agnosticism entails over the man who coined the fucking word?
Btw, you realize that all standard philosophical dictionaries define atheism as a positive rejection of theism, right?
CasperTheMeanieGhost 6 months ago
@CasperTheMeanieGhost 1. I really could give two shits what Thomas Huxley said. He could easily be wrong, I do not follow anyone or anything as gospel which is a difference in the frameworks in our brains. 2. He coined the word because it does describe something; it describes ones position in regards to knowability. An agnostic atheist is different than a strong atheist but both answer the God belief question the same. Agnostic answers the question of know-ability a(theism) is about belief.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "I really could give two shits what Thomas Huxley said. He could easily be wrong"
Ugh ... NO YOU MORON. He *CAN`T* be wrong. Why??? ... BECAUSE HE COINED THE WORD! What part don`t you get?

@CasperTheMeanieGhost "Btw, you realize that all standard philosophical dictionaries define atheism as a positive rejection of theism, right?" I promise it will make you less ignorant.

Look at all the species of animals, tell me big bang evolution designed that.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" Man you are sad. "You want prove that God exist, look at the countless miraculous stories shared by many around the world" You mean the many contradictory stories that have had people killing each other for thousands of years? Not to mention to self-contradictory nature of the texts themselves. "Look at all the species of animals, tell me big bang evolution designed that" Evolution is the cause of speciation yes. It was not designed.
daswann14 6 months ago
@daswann14 "Not to mention to self-contradictory nature of the texts themselves" how's the Text contradictory, what's your basis for this argument? You don't understand or discern biblical things, so it seems like foolishness to you,..Have you really asked knowledgeable christians about some of these so-called contradictions, and were they unable to explain things to you? Chances are you didn't seek to find God, therefore you wouldn't know him.
faithw02 6 months ago
@faithw02 I understand the Bible better than most, and the Bible has many dozens if not hundreds of contradictions and many hundreds of other damning fallacies (some of which make the existence of the God proposed within those same texts impossible). I would put my biblical knowledge up against 95% of Christians at least, and I've spoken to very devout Christians yes. I was a member of the CS Lewis society at RU and all they is study God.
daswann14 6 months ago
@faithw02 "Chances are you didn't seek to find God, therefore you wouldn't know him" This is a very bad argument in many ways, but #1: I've met many people that I didn't seek, and I've engaged perfect strangers thus they met me, and some of us have long lasting relationships and know each other very well. What kind of arrogant being needs people to seek them just for the privilege of meeting/ knowing them? And I have asked "God please show yourself now?" and he didn't. Just did it again. Nada.

Is classism really necessary?
Whether it's black, white, latin, asian, middle eastern, etc. atheist, at the end of the day.....we're all simply atheists. Do we really need to be labeled, and divided into racial clubs......(i.e......black atheists, white atheists, asian atheists, etc.)?
GMunny5 9 months ago
@GMunny5 We are what we are. For many reasons blacks are excluded from the atheist movement (not maliciously in this case)... just like they were from the feminist movement, and mostly are from the queer movements. And yes we face different issues because of our different backgrounds. Our lived experiences and application of theory and philosophy to our lives are different. And it is also an issue that varies by class (upper, middle, etc.). Why should we expect atheists to be homogeneous?
daswann14 9 months ago
@daswann14 "Why should we expect atheists to be homogeneous?"
Because we all seem to be in mutual agreement, at least, as far as God(s) are concerned. Additional to that, we are all of the same species, regardless of skin pigment. Ultimately, we are of the same nature.
All I'm saying is, if I were to open a club for atheists....it would be a club for "atheists". Not black atheist, white atheist, asian atheist, etc. Just Atheists.
Surely, those (race) types of clubs would only promote classism.
GMunny5 9 months ago
@GMunny5 I don't understand what you mean by classism? Certainly not the normal definition. You obviously don't understand... I just gave you many reasons why different perspectives are important and you simply ignored it.
daswann14 9 months ago
@daswann14 "many reasons why different perspectives are important and you simply ignored it"
Different perspectives of what exactly? Atheism?
Atheism merely relates to a single position, on a single claim; nothing more. That's what it is. Why would we need different perspectives to come to the conclusion of no God(s)? There is no evidence. That is all.
Or do you mean different perspectives of something else?
GMunny5 9 months ago
@GMunny5 sorry, I dont think Atheists are making any claims... WE REJECT CLAIMS.

turtle5181 9 months ago
@GMunny5 it's needed. i hate to sound bigoted, but I think black folks seem overly nutty abut religion. I don't think any celebrity honky would have got the pass Steve Harvey got by the liberal set either...
lockwoodisafaggot 9 months ago
@GMunny5 Seeing how the Black community lies so heavily on religion as a central and integral part of our newly created cultural fabric post-slavery and colonialism (past and present), many Atheists within our community are afraid to come out because we are so severely ostracised as if by our very existence we are betraying them and all that we have been through. There is this idea that all of our successes and triumphs, our support, our very morals come from a god...
MusicalPassion 9 months ago
@GMunny5 ...They lie so heavily on that as a central part of life that they will quickly put you down or disown you if you are open about it. It's a different experience. All we're doing is shining a beacon of light to other Black Atheists in the closet that it's okay to come out!
MusicalPassion 9 months ago
I would love to participate in dialogues such as this with other Black Atheists. I know some, but good luck getting them all together in one spot in any number. I do know people around me who are open-minded, but they still hold on to the concept of a god in some regard. I think I'll make another video soon to address this. It's about time.
MusicalPassion 9 months ago
I love to see like-minded people having this discussion. That one guy said Christopher Hitchens saved his life. I feel the same way.
rleeermy 9 months ago
@rleeermy Nice. I love deep statements like that too. I also feel that if I was a theist I would be deluded and purposefully ignorant of many things which would impact my happiness and ultimately life satisfaction. Coming out of the dark ages so to speak feels wonderful when a world of seemingly untenable things and ideas becomes possible. But theists also say similar things aka 'Jesus saved my life.'
daswann14 9 months ago

Just get a couple mics next time and place them on either end of the table, or perhaps a more casual couch-setting, where you guys can chill and make it easier to film everyone with two cameras.
A sharper angle from the side or behind can line everyone up very well in a shot, with the second cam maybe being an artistic back-of-the-head overview shot of the table/couch setting.

Black people are always complaining about the issues we face in our community as whole but no one wants to look at the root of the problem; these RELIGIONS we cling onto so defensively which teach us to be submissive and passive while we bicker with each other over trivial differences & biblical lies.
