  • now are electricity is going to go up

  • Really wish the would of let the stack fall on top of the plant and crush that shit. It would of been more fitting for this place.

  • I'll miss the pretty white clouds it used to put out. and being able to see the stack from almost anywhere in the area so you could always find your way home.

Good bye Mohave Generating Plant, you will be missed!!

    XOXO

  • Good to see this fucking place going away now. Its been responsible for all pollution that was going into our water source, im glad to see this gone. I worked there for almost 2 years and they treated there employees like fucking douche bags. Im glad this shit is finally happening, it took forever. My apartment is literally 5 minutes from this and I saw this happen, it caused a sonic boom effect and scared my girl. :D

  • @bremstone thats because you were a slaker...I remember you...you never did your job...just another screw off taking a paycheck you didn't deserve...glad you left

  • @mogstech You mean someone that didnt take bullshit from anyone then yes I was a slacker, I don't know which drone this is but don't kid yourself they treated there people like fucking ass. I highly doubt we know one another, if so then you knew I did my job no questions asked.

  • @mogstech Don't fucking kid yourself, yea an apartment, so whats it to you? You don't pay my bills so please keep your gutter trash trap shut, you don't know me and I don't know you, keep living the fantasy that you wish to believe to be fact. From the sounds of you, you worked there for a long time, so i'm guessing you think you know it all, like any other gutter trash that came from there, not all of them were such but you aren't making them look any better. Keep it coming gutter trash.

  • @bremstone LOL... wow...guess I struck a nerd..um nerve. No I dont know it all. Just know a jackass when I see one. Enjoy your electric lights.

  • @mogstech Enjoy being gutter trash

  • @bremstone I would if we had gutters.

  • @mogstech Lets see you are 37 now, if that is in deed right. I was 18 at the time, im wondering, did you work in my team or were you Edison?

  • You environmentalist goofballs are all the same. You don’t have an inkling of what you are saying. You have obviously plugged your bungholes to curb emissions, but just like will happen in power production; the emissions will just come from somewhere else less desirable and controllable.

  • Finally get rid of this damn Coal plant!!! I was glad to see it close and glad to see this eyesore and source of terrible pollutants destroyed!!!

Car guy in Az. Why are you so ignorant?? The first thing you would notice was the coal cloud it produced you could see that for miles and miles. What does Reid have to do with this closing?

  • Great view from where you were at Sapp! Nice job.

  • i got to see it this morning too with my niece she thought it was so cool

  • Lived here for 35 Years and GLAD too see it go, nothing but a damn eye-sore anyway!

  • Worked there six years. Lost friends and coworkers to the explosion in 1985. At one time over 600 people earned their living at that plant. It was a cornerstone to the early development of the Laughlin/Bullhead area. We did our best when we worked there,we met good people. We partied hard and worked hard. Its time had come. Good-bye Mohave Generating station.

  • Didn't expect to feel the shock all the way from Hastings.

  • What a great day for Laughlin and Bullhead City. This gross polluter has not chance of coming back into operation. The reason this plant closed down was not due to the pollution issues but a lack of ongoing coal and water contracts. Since it burned coal, it could not continue to operate. Our air here is exponentially cleaner since this disgusting relic ceased to operate.

  • lol @ carguyinaz. Thanks for the laugh, that was just a silly comment.

  • i was there this is so cool i thought all of it was going down,,,but unfortunatly it was just the smoke stack.i was gonna video tape it on my phone but u couldnt see it

  • I was there at Laughlin High School It is amazing how many people were watching this I could see cars in bullhead parked along 95, veary cool right now the cloud is to the south. But yeah their was thousands seeing this and it is a move to cleaner air and a better world, So don't think this was bad it's good for us in laughlin. CARGUYINAZ LAY OFF THE Vicodin!!!!!!

  • this is a SAD day in Laughlin, NV!!! That Smoek stack was the symbol of that town... no matter which way you were coming in to town... that was the first thing you would see!!! I hate the hippie politicians that are turning MY hometown into a ghost town!!! That power plant was there BEFORE ANYONE moved to Laughlin!!! Thanks Harry Reid for destroying my home town you asshole!

  • The end of an era. Wish I was there. Thanks for capturing this so expertly and sharing.

  • Good shot
