@Shoes742 I remember Brian Lee O'Malley saying it took place around the same year he wrote it, 2001-02ish. It's likely that Scott is just attached to his video games and doesn't want to give up his old consoles. And he doesn't ONLY play the Genesis. I think he had an N64 and/or a PS1. He mentioned playing Tony Hawk and Final Fantasy. Scott's probably an old school gamer. Or just a cheap-o.
